We are now going to move on to the jumps category jump spikes are a little bit more Technical and event specific so there’s three spikes that we’re going to talk about today we’ll start off with this um shoe from Nike the Nike Rival jump you’ll notice here that there’s
More cushioning in the outsole of the shoe the purpose being that you are taking off of a specific jump leg so you want that foot to be supported while you are in that takeoff phase so this the foam is springier and cushioned as well kind of multi-purpose on the upper of
The shoe you’ll notice the strap that goes across the forefoot the purpose for this is so that you can adjust make quick adjustments in your shoe in between Runway attempts and also if you’re turning in the high jump or planting you want to make sure your foot
Isn’t sliding around in the shoe so this strap allows for that more locked in feel the out so to of the shoe the spike plate is about halfway down the spike the shoe itself and there are six implementation spots so you’ll have good toe off when you’re jumping as well as
Some secondary traction down here if there are wet conditions you’re not sliding around on the runway or as you take off for your jump this shoe can be used for the long jump the high jump the pole vault and the triple jump we are going to move on to the a triple jump
Spike specifically this is the Nike Zoom triple jump Elite you’ll notice definitely more cushion here in the heel it’s their Zoom foam so you’ll have more springiness in combination with this carbon fiber plate that we saw in some of our Sprint and longdistance shoe they’ve placed it here
In the triple jump shoe just to give you that explosive takeoff as you’re bounding down the runway they have taken off the medial strap here because you’re not going to be turning like you would in a high jump event you don’t need it as much to keep
That foot secure you’re just going in a forward motion looking at the outsole definitely more traction here because you’re doing multiple jumps in the triple jump you want to make sure each plant foot is secure and there’s an increase in those Spike implementation spots as well in addition if you’re competing in wet
Weather you want to make sure that you’re being able to move quickly and safely down the runway the last Spike we’re going to talk about in this category is the Nike Zoom high jump Elite this shoe also has that zumex foam in the midsole and they also has the strap on
The upper because in the high jump you are making that turn and then jumping you want a nice secure fit in the shoe there’s also some extra overlays here on the upper just to give more support while you are competing in this event when we look at the out soole of the
Shoe you’ll notice that the spike plate runs the full length of the shoe again this is because you are planting and turning in the high jump there are implementation sites in the forefoot and also in the heel of the shoe just so that you stay safe in those wet and dry
