Lot better golfers yeah and and I feel like it is some sometimes just such a uh misunderstood and not talked about concept because the wrists are your one point of the closest point of connection aside from your hands to the club face Club face is the one piece that hits the golf

Influence on your ball striking then maybe one of those other elements not being as precise so wrist angle is so important fixes the club face yeah Club face is King you know if we fix a club face then we know that we’re going to be getting golfers better a lot quicker
Rather than just worrying about fundamental oh you’re not rotating your hips yeah get a club face better you’ll get fishing golfers yeah yeah so let’s walk through the first initial movements of how the wrists actually need to work in regards to the orientation and some checkpoints that the players at home can
Observe to then manage themselves certainly so as we spoke about just now the wrists in the club the club say moves first and the sequencing of it in the back swing is important but if you understood in the takeaway how your wrists move and how that affects how the
Club moves in the takeaway due to how the wrist angles change and what couple motions come with the wrists you’re going to be a lot better so there’s elements that make the club go up there’s elements that make the club go side to side you know and forward and
Back yeah so during the takeaway if you just set up there where your hands together they cared for me mhm now if you were somebody that had a very very flexed lead wrist which is it moving into this orientation through the takeaway Bo y so if you had it somebody
That was like that but you done it as you took the club away You’re influencing that club to come under an inside right correct and what that also sacrifices when you have that that goes into leadr flection is a little bit of depth to the top of the back swing okay
Little bit of lead wrist extension advocates for a little bit more depth which which is cupping a lot of people go away from cupping certainly um if we made a lot of amateurs wrist angles stronger they would be better however understanding how they move in the first
Place is is the key concept so now if you just put the club in between your hands don’t grip it but just have that same wrist orientation that you just had then right so from there if you do that same move in the takeaway where your Libra is move
Flexed see how that club then goes under an inside s heavy too yeah heavy as well right now if you just move away but you try and move the club first but then you move this and your torso during your takeway and keep some width awesome now
That club face is nice and square to the back line and you’re creating the adequate WID through the golf swing right from there then you can see that lead wrist is a lot flatter rather than moving bod and interesting you say that is that at a dress you will note that
The majority of professional golfers will have a slight cupping of their wrist now absolutely there is not so much of a conscious flattening of the wrist what actually occurs is the weight of the golf club through the motion and due to the club head moving before really anything else that will encourage
The wrists to flatten so as I pivot the weight of that club causes and if you’re you need to understand as well this a very key Concept in the terms of grip yeah if you’re trying if you’re somebody that hasn’t got a quote unquote in Brackets neutral grip you need to understand what
That affects with your wrist angles through the golf swing it makes it easier for me when somebody comes in and they’ve got a super strong grip which means a really extended lead wrist right so strong grip with a very very weak lead wrist should we say Okay equals a
Neutral Club face at the top of back swing right so understanding how your wrist should work in accordance with your grip as well is important to building that fundamentally good back swing right so again if your lead wrist is going to move super cued in the
Takeaway let’s do the opposite mhm so if you’ve got a quote unquote neutral grip but your lead wrist moves very very cued you see how straight away then yeah that club stays outside the hands move out a lot yeah good yeah good we get back to

The motion really at the end of the day it’s about ensuring that they are matched up with your grip and also your intention of what sort of ball flight you’re trying to hit yeah 100% yeah so uh tying a bow on this for the guys at
