That conditioning uh a after his injury and you know he stayed down a number of games it took him a while to get climatized there and he did a good job I think he was also helpful to U myu as well um it’s it’s it’s definitely something you want to see happen but

What you don’t want to see happen and this is this is the part that sort of has has me a bit irritated is it appears right now that the the organization for whatever reason has made him sort of the black sheep in the family and uh that

Part really irks me like if you’re going to bring him up I I think that it’s essential that you continue with his development and that means he gets some ice time like for him to come up and and all of a son we highlight what his errors were uh defensively or maybe that

He took a bad penalty I don’t think he really made a bad play defensively except for the fact that he had one bad penalty and uh others around him are are doing just just as poorly in terms of uh you know either bad passing or uh are not uh

Totally uh for checking uh when they should be and others are taking bad penalties at critical times in the game and yet the one we highlight is always Jacky I I think that that’s wrong if you want if you want to send them down I’m fine with that no problem uh I think

That uh you know maybe till the end of the year uh that’s what happens um he goes down there he gets some more conditioning he gets he builds up his confidence a little bit more but the worst thing you could do is ask somebody to be who they’re not necessarily and

And the I I guess the reason why I wanted to bring all of this up is because I think we we have a little bit of the our definitions maybe confused and when we say he’s a physical player I don’t necessarily mean that he he’s a

Fighter I mean obviously he has that in his repertoire as well if needed and I think he’s exercised the uh good judgment in that regard he hasn’t done anything uh that sort of merits anything negative there but H being a physical player means that you’re taking the body

You’re completing a check you’re you’re you’re making sure that you clear in front of the net for your goal tender uh when somebody parks thems there and uh those those things are critical to to a team if you want to have a core of defensemen that are not only strong but

Are are physical then you need that like we were talking about you know what teams that have gone to the cup have have had um physical players well look at guys like uh last year with uh Vegas I I thought that they were all physical that that doesn’t mean that they had to

Fight it means that they let you know about their presence in front of the net when Montreal was successful and they went to the Stanley Cup finals about three years ago what was it it was the key four players right you had Weber you had Edmonson uh you had um uh these guys

That sherat and and Petri and and they were being physical they’re big guys that take care of of their their area they clear clear pucks out of the way they make sure that uh there’s no way that somebody’s going to get a second or third opportunity to score on that so

For me I I just I I thought you know what let’s let’s stop with the uh picking on Jacky I don’t think it’s right now we’re by by doing that I’m not saying that he’s an Allstar or he’s a superstar there’s a lot of growth still

Don’t think that this guy is a guy that needs to be traded uh because there was a lot of talk and speculation about hey let’s trade them why not and again let me preface that by saying of course if a team comes along and and and says I’m

Going to give you a top five pick here for Jacky I mean you you’d be silly not to enter Ain it right uh but for a team that is cut bound uh or is going to be successful in the playoffs and and and they offer you a first for him and it’s

Going to be like the 28th or 29th pick in the overall in the league I say it’s not worth it because we don’t know yet what the ceiling or what the ceiling on Jacky is and these kind of players don’t come along too often if if he was truly

Bad then not many teams would be inquiring about him and that that was really my only point that I wanted to bring out from here I I hopefully we can end this whole uh WiFi problem right now and uh leave it leave it as it is

Because it’s it’s a young core I look today coach and we are the youngest defensive core in the league so of course these players are going to be making mistakes that’s part of the development it’s part of their growth we have to be patient with all of them not just
