Costco Kirkland Signature Ball Review #shorts

I hate to tell you this…🤷‍♀️

Before you raise your axes and pitchforks, let me just say…I understand wanting to save a few dollars on your golf balls.

When the 3rd version of the KSig dropped – we knew we had to get a read on just how good…or bad it was going to be.

Out of the curated samples tested, from multiple different purchase locations – balls proved to not be consistent in size, compression and overall quality.

Leaving you with balls that could be worse than what you and I are already finding in the woods 😂

Having quality equipment in your bag is our main concern – no matter your price point. If you’ve been here a while – you know we’re a fan of what Costco is doing for the game. So, I’ll be honest, we’re just as disappointed as you.

After years of testing and 10s of thousands of dollars spent on our Ball Lab – we’re confident that a score of 45 out of 100 is not something worthy of your rounds.

Let’s be clear…

While spin might be something you’re after – the consistency and overall composition of THE MOST RECENT Kirkland ball is far from something we’d recommend.

OK SO… What should you play instead?

➡️ Maxfli Tour Series

If you’re curious to see how we landed at these results I’ll drop our Official Ball Test and the Kirkland Ball Lab results in our link in bio so you can check it out for yourself.

As always – feel free to drop your questions!

The Costco golf ball is not worth your money honestly I hate to be the one to tell you this but your membership’s probably better used on a rental Card discount a couple gallons of mayo or even their four pack of gloves after we ran these through our quality ball lab

The kig scored a whopping 45 out of 100 on the chart that’s the third lowest scoring ball in all of my golf spy history and we’ve been at this for a while compression scored 93 out of 100 on the scale which is actually a little bit firmer than your regular prov1 and

Not to mention the Kirkland it’s one of the spinni balls yes that’s a word that we’ve ever tested and I mean ever look I totally get it you’re on the hunt for a deal I would be too but it’s hard for me to recommend the Kirkland ball to really

Anybody scoring 45 out of 100 on the scale so if you want to avoid losing anywhere from six to 10 Strokes on your game or who knows possibly slicing the out of the ball I’d avoid the Kirkland altogether if you’d like our full set of

Data and the report I’ll drop it in our Link in BIO so you can go check it out hope this helps but I’m I’m being serious please don’t buy these balls okay

  1. Damn, you can't get more direct honesty than this. Thanks MGS, for telling the truth and letting us know which balls to avoid. So, I need to take all of my Kirkland balls and use them for practice in my net and not on the course. Cheers

  2. I don’t think my Golf spy understands that Kirkland never set out to invent the best ball. just the best value ball. and even with its downsides it’s still a great valuable that’s all.

  3. 1. This chick doesn’t understand how a Costco membership works.
    2. Why does compression matter if you like the feel when you strike them well?
    3. What if you want the highest spin possible as an amateur golfer?
    4. They are 1/4 of the price of every other ball. I’m fine with losing 5 yards on my drives 😂

  4. They are great balls for a simulator for Iron shots. They hold up well, and they spin close enough to a ProV1 on wedges and short irons. Use your gamer for woods, since the woods don't chew up the cover.

  5. There’s no bigger Costco fan boy than me. The original ball they came out with was super nice. All the rest have been mid at best. I’ve done all the ball tinkering a golfer can do. I really tried not to be a prov1 guy but here I am. Really no reason not to play a premium ball if you’re keeping the ball in play.

  6. What an unfair comparison. The Costco ball must be compared to similarly priced balls, not balls that are often double the price. People play the Costco ball because they want the green-side spin of a urethane cover, something that otherwise doesn't exist at their price.

  7. Kirkland ball is a good ball to start the season with while knocking off that winter rust. Play them for the beginning of the season no big loss for the lost balls that occur every spring. Save the high quality for the rest of the season.
