Ohio State fan accidentally knocks down Iowa’s Caitlin Clark

Caitlin Clark said she was “OK” after she was accidentally knocked down by a fan running onto the court after No. 2 Iowa was upset by No. 18 Ohio State on Sunday.

Let’s start with some sports news, an Ohio State women’s basketball fan trying to get in on the celebration of that huge win for the women on Sunday over Iowa making some national news after a player and that fan, uh Caitlin Clark, the player collided on the court during a postgame celebration

And it’s a collision that’s now raising some questions and concerns about player safety following a game. A TV news reporter, Kevin Landers is live outside the shot and center with some reaction to all of this. Kevin. Well, good morning Ohio State’s women’s basketball coach Kevin mcguff called

It extremely disappointing and that it should never have happened. And ou athletic director went into the locker room apologizing to both the player and Iowa’s coach. This is what the scene looked like after Ohio State knocked off Iowa in front of a record crowd.

You can see Iowa player Caitlin Clark get run into by a fan trying to join in the celebration at mid court. Clark went to the ground and appeared to be injured but emerged in a post game interview saying she’s fine but clearly not happy that the

Incident could have resulted in a more serious outcome and I was absolutely just hammered by somebody trying to run on to the court and basically blindsided. And, um, you know, kind of scary, could have caused a pretty serious injury to me and knocked the wind out of me.

But, um, luckily my teammates kind of picked me up and got me off the court. It’s unfortunate the game ended that way and Kaitlin gets taken out on the floor, um get some appro inappropriate words, yelled at her by fans by students.

Um, that just should not happen, it should not happen. Our players should be safe. They should be able to walk off the floor. More than 18,000 people attended the game, which was the most ever to watch a women’s basketball game at Ohio State and there was security at the game,

But fans just seem to string by. So be interesting to see what kind of changes we see involving security moving forward here at the Shots Center report live, Kevin Landers 10 to

  1. She did it so she would be who everybody was talking about and not the winners. She wanted all of the attention. Why was she running across the court when you can clearly see all those people running on the court. What's wrong with walking off the court like everyone else did?

  2. Caitlyn Clark is a great player but a whinny unsportsmanlike person. She complains about every call that goes against her. Watching the video, she is the one running and causing the collision. BOO HOO Caitlyn Clark.

  3. It does look like Clark was looking in the direction of the fan while the fan was looking at the crowd in a different direction. Unless fans are prohibited from coming onto the court, the players also need to watch where they're going if they're running.

  4. I actually think both are just carelessly running and had an accident. Questions to ask.. why are they both running? 5 year olds are taught this everywhere

  5. Looks more like Clark had another one of her little tantrums and ran into the fan. Then she did a dramatic pirouette collapsing to the ground. On the other hand, the fan who actually did get clobbered, just popped back up and kept going like no big deal.

  6. To be totally fair…It looked like both of their faults…..However the fans shouldnt have been on the court………….

  7. my question is what the heck was she running for in the first place. None of her other team mates ran off the floor. It was an accident. Things happen and trash talk is apart of the game. If u cant handle the heat… yea yall know the rest
