Welcome back! We re-used and altered the existing school bus front doors to create a new “house-like” door that swings open and closed. For us, this provided the best of both worlds: keeping the incredible view of having windows all around as you drive, while having a more practical door that can be locked and secured.
Now if you’re at all worried regarding security, we of course have not yet installed a lock but will do so in the next coming weeks. The whole new door was bolted together by drilling identical holes through the existing door and angle iron pieces. Then we not-so-simply cut one side off its hinges and VOILA! To finish, we’ll frame out all the metal pieces with stained wood leaving the windows (some cracked) behind.
As always, THANK YOU all so so much for your support in watching our videos! This week was a short one, but Ashley celebrated her VIRTUAL college graduation today and we’re home with family 🙂
We wish health and happiness to everyone, please COMMENT below with questions, suggestions, and hellos!!
See you next week!
