Hi. I’m “Gio Palermo”, also known as “legorocks99” (“legorocks99Gaming”, “LR99Gaming”, or “LR99”). I post video game commentaries on YouTube revolving around “hockey”, with a primary focus on “Vancouver Canucks”, “Montreal Canadiens”, “Detroit Red Wings”, and top “NHL prospects” topics. These videos are uploaded with “NHL 24” gameplay in the background. I enjoy making these videos and I hope that you enjoy watching them!

legorocks99 and all its denominations function under “Gio Palermo Media Inc.”

I don’t know how relevant this is anymore nor do I know how much people actually care about this but we are finally putting to rest all that happened with Cory Perry and the Chicago Blackhawks because when it comes to his Edmonton Oilers days everything that happened with him in Chicago should be

In the rearview mirror but leave it to John Scott who does work for NBC Sports and who of course is the allstar legend himself to go out there on his own podcast and pretty much reveal what it was that happened with Perry now we weren’t going to get this information

From the team or from Perry himself but to see somebody who is in the media and in the public sphere he does have a role in the hockey broadcasting world go out there and say this it kind of puts to rest everything that we may have been

Wondering so our source is John Scott’s own dropping the gloves podcast where on the January 22nd episode talking about Patrick W and the Cory Perry signing he goes out there and pretty much reveals what it was that Perry did now I’ll leave a link in the description to this

Quote posted on Twitter by John Puck 1992 he has the clip and the snippet of what it is that Scott goes out there and says I took the liberty to go out there and transcribe in writing the words it is that Scott ends up saying so without

Further Ado let’s go out there and read the quote from Scott himself I’ll put it up on the screen what it was that Scott said on his podcast Cory Perry was a model citizen in the n HL for like 18 years he made a mistake in Columbus one

Night he drank too much and he made a pass at a staff member who worked for NBC and then Chicago the environment that they live in now if there’s any hint of anything like that they just get rid of everything scorched Earth he’s gone if this is any other team he’s

Still on the team he’s still with them and they just kind of maybe have a slap on the wrist maybe a minor fine or a suspension but because Chicago and the era that we live in and they just bundled their thing in 2010 they had to

Get rid of him if you you throw that out the window this is a great signing for the Edmonton Oilers now that is talked about as we had said by John Scott who does do work for NBC and the Chicago broadcast so if he’s saying in particular on his own

Show that yeah Cory Perry made a pass at a staff member who worked at NBC I mean the guy works for NBC himself so I don’t necessarily know if he’d be all too inaccurate in that kind of assessment now sure maybe that’s all here say maybe that’s all just telephone

People saying what happened and the word spreads around to other people but because this is like the only information that we have other than the reports from I think it was Sarah valy back when the initial incident happened that Cory Perry had some sort of an alcohol related incident again the

Phrase that we were tossing out repeatedly in those conversations was that whatever Cory Perry did was not illegal but it was inappropriate inappropriate but not illegal that’s kind of the term that people were tossing out there and if this is the case where it is you know Cory Perry

Getting a little bit too much to drink and then making a pass at one of the employees at NBC of course like it’s not appropriate especially considering Cory Perry has a wife and a child but at the end of the day Scott makes his point

Very known at the end of the quote that because Chicago is in a precarious spot with their history because they covered up the KY Beach thing 10 years ago because there’s already this Aura of let’s just say irresponsibility that has floated around the organization anything resembling some sort of a controversy

Like this gets the guy canned and now he’s signed with Edmonton where as we had talked about in the video two days ago he’ll be getting a bunch of signing bonuses assuming he plays a bunch of games so hopefully Cory Perry will be able to pay back the $1 million he owes

Chicago which is really funny still when you think about it but either way I’ll leave a link in the description to the audio clip clip from John Scott if you want to go out there and listen to the words from the man himself but this is indeed what he says Cory Perry the

Reason everything went down and the reason his contract was terminated is apparently now revealed let me know your thoughts in the comment section below about the entire situation and how do you feel now that we have some sort of incling as to how everything went down

Does this surprise you in any way did you think it would be a bigger deal did you think it would be a smaller deal Lin your thoughts the comment section is your floor I hope you enjoyed this V 9 and bye

  1. Silly move. They should have kept him. That goon would have thought twice about busting Bedard's Jaw if he knew Perry was there to slash him in the nuts.. tsk tsk..

  2. I would’ve thought that it would’ve been a bigger deal that caused this. That being said, given Chicago’s past issues I understand them going scorched earth.

  3. Wonder if John Scott is going to get a call from Perry for blowing the whistle on this, if it’s true

  4. Why did Georges Laraque who according to him knew the reason but couldn't say for fear of getting sued said that it was really bad and any team
    would have done the same?
I guess it depends what Perry said
And who was around when he said it.

  5. A wife and child that's where it matters a foolish lapse of memory a pass at someone that's what cost him all this embarrassment move on and good behavior.

  6. So, Corey Perry got kicked off the team for making a pass? I guess the Blackhawks didn't want any assists off the ice either! 🏒😂

  7. IMHO, he was fired. He doesn't owe Chicago a penny. They were the ones who took over the top, drastic measures on what essentially amounts to something that happens literally every day, they get to deal with the consequences of that decision. Don't come at me with "but a contract" because IDGAFF. You don't get your money back if you buy something you don't like. You have to deal with it, even if you throw it away. You paid for it, now it's gone. Same deal here. Unbelievable that this is even a thing.

  8. Because it happened playing for Chicago, I can see why they did what they did. Also Perry going into Rehab acknowledges he had a problem

  9. I think Scott down played the story to save Chicago's reputation & the reputation of the NHL! Chicago firing Perry was a liability issue, hoping that this girl victim didn't seek legal action against the Chicago franchise. It had to be more than Perry hitting on a girl. Rumours still floating that racial slurs were said or that he groped a girl! At this point, the truth is still out there & I don't think it was as innocent as what Scott said it was!

  10. If this is the real story then it’s another sad commentary on how the woke virus has completely taken over professional sports

  11. *UPDATE FROM JOHN SCOTT @ JANUARY 24TH, 10AM PST*

"On my podcast this week I made a false and misleading statement regarding former Blackhawk Corey Perry. It was an off-the-cuff remark that is completely unfounded and not true. It was a poor choice of words and I'll try to be more careful in the future."

  12. It didn’t happen in Columbus the Blackhawks PR people already said this was something that happened in Nashville before they went to Columbus, so John Scott is full of it

  13. There was no Kyle Beach thing. It was consensual. Beach could have filed a report with the cops at any time, nobody covered anything up.

  14. So what kind of pass was it? Cause where I grew up there were two kinds. The first is ur'e complimenting the person's clothes etc (u look good in that dress/i like ur dress etc) and then theres the more sexual kind (hey baby what's ur number etc). For me if im going to compliment a woman on their clothes I make it specific so they know Im not hitting on them (instead of I like ur dress say I like ur dress nice and sparkly or I like the design of ur dress)

  15. So now they want to say the inappropriate comment was so egregious that it justified nullifying his $4 million contract. It sounds fishy, like a coverup or damage control of some sort.

  16. john scott, that spittin chiclets guy, steve simmons, HNIC panel, all trash and not worth listening to.
