Everyone. Hey tomorrow, Mavericks Beach club hosting their puppies and golf Farmers insurance, open kickoff, the annual block party in support of the charity puppies and golf. Joining us live Krista Marki from Mavericks and the founder of puppies and golf. Amanda Renner.

Thanks so much for coming in. Ladies, you guys brought a friend with you too. What do we have here? And then let’s talk about the event. This is my foster dog, Carmen, uh fostering her through labs and more. And that’s gonna be the organization that is actually at our event tomorrow.

Plenty of adoptable dogs. Awesome. So we’ve got two things. We’re, we’re, we’re focused on golf with the big farmers coming up here and then getting these dogs in good homes, right? Is that the mission here at the mission at Mavericks? That’s what we’re after.

Ok. Um So this is your dog and your um, it’s temporary. Someone still needs to adopt this dog. That is correct. And she is a perfect pup. Uh, one of our big pillars with puppies and golf is to bring awareness, shelters and rescues in need across the country and also ways

That you can help fostering is certainly one of those ways. So, if you’re not ready to adopt, you can temporarily take in a dog and you’re actually saving two dogs at once when you do that. So I hear our shelters are really full. A lot of our all over the country. Yeah. Yeah.

So do your part and help out. Uh, you guys have been busy. I mean, we’re, we’re, we’re talking about tomorrow night, this is the big event you guys like Transform Mavericks, right? Yes, I mean, talk about that feat and what that’s like and uh why you guys are doing that?

Well, we have some incredible sponsors and partners that help work with us. One of them being heritage links that they come in and they build an entire six hole miniature golf course for charity in our lot. They transform the entire lot. You, you won’t even recognize it.

So it’s a very fun dog friendly family friendly event. You come in, you donate to puppies in golf. They give you a Odyssey putter and Calloway balls and you go and you shoot on the course and see. Yeah, exactly. We also have a closest to the pin competition with drive box.

Drive box is parked their giant 50 ft indoor swing simulator trailer in our lot and adjacent to that. Yeah, do that before we have too many drinks because no, we all need a little swing juice once in a while. I think everyone else’s golf game gets a little bit better. A little bit.

Yeah, you’re not as focused. You just loosen things up a little, the 100% of the proceeds from the bar out there will go to support puppies in golf. So we really do encourage a little bit of swing juice. Do things get pretty competitive there?

I mean, do some buddies show up or their girlfriends and, like, not at all because it’s the unofficial kickoff party. The Farmers Insurance open us at CBS Sports were back on camera for the first time for golf. Uh, and so many of the players come out in support.

So Marc Leishman came out one year, he won it that next, that weekend, Max Homa came out, he’s the reigning champion. So I’m just saying you never know who you’re gonna find, but you do know that you’re gonna be in good company. Bring like the, the titles

Hat that you can get signed or something. That’s right. Hey, you never know. We also have amazing silent auction items and raffle items autographed by some of your favorite players. I thought of it all. I gotta tell you. Are we, are we gonna, are we doing a competition here? Let’s do it. Ok,

The event is tomorrow Tuesday the 23rd from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Mavericks is a 21 and up venue. But if you have your family with you and you’re over the age of 21 we kids can come as well, so we see everyone. All right. Ok, cool. All right, let’s do it.

Who am I gonna be golfing with you? All right, I got that. I’m gonna give it my best, my best effort. Here you go. Now, uh the greens you guys have at Mavericks I’m assuming are a little more challenging than this. They are real. So it’s real, it’s real. So

It’s actually Ben grass greens. So a little bit easier than the Po Anna that we’re gonna be watching the players put on when we actually get to Tory. But turf was kind enough donate uh some incredible greens for the. Ok. We got about 30 seconds. Let’s see.

So uh you get bonus points we’re getting in the small hole. Sure. Um Oh I tried the bank shot and I went over, I overpowered it. I should have checked these greens. They’re a little faster than I expected. All right, you take your best shot under pressure right now. Here we go
