It’s day 2 at here at the Shelly Sharpe which is also known as “moving day”. Excited to have Parker Welck jump off the mic and onto the card. Also joining our coverage is Andrew Miranda who recently announced that he too is on Team DGA. Seems like we’ll get to see how both Welck and Miranda will perform with their new bag setups. Heck, they’d both probably take a repeat performance from round one so let’s check it out.

Hello everyone and welcome to the 2024 Shelly Sharp Memorial round number two back nine action out here at the Vista Del Camino XL layout Drew Gibson came in as a co-leader right now falling behind Anthony Bella who’s been doing some work Andrew Miranda struggling meanwhile Parker Welk

Following up his commentary debut with a solid performance here and the early Goings of round number two as we head to Hole 10 651 ft we’ve got OB on both left and right sides then I guess if you get way deep past the pin you can find an OB sidewalk back there as

Well Andrew with the honors and my favorite play here seeing the roller not necessarily Eagle distance terms of putting himself up there for the two but very controlled and in a great spot giving him options for the approach that’s going to push up over the hill again not a problem there for Bella

Has a late comeback he won’t be far from where he was in round number one however he was flirting and actually had gone out of bounds now that I think about it so he’s going to be safe of the OB but still coming from a similar Direction

And Parker right up the middle as well with the forehand when you’re up on this rightand Hillside having the forehand hand standstill just like he’s going with such a great tool and a resource there just because the footing can be awkward if you’re going with kind of a

Slow walk up or runup to throw the backhand you’re dealing with the slope and then your timing and everything else kind of feels weird just being able to stand still like you’re seeing by both Bella along with Welk just such a tool to have easy standstill approach there for Dre

Gibson giving him plenty of options however he leaves it short Gibson still 27 ft or so looking frustrated understandably he’s really struggled on the front nine terms of finding his putting stroke he’s even through well now what will be 10 holes and falling off the pace

Oh that’s a pro move Bella just holding still as he knows one of his competitors is lining up for his putt didn’t want to move anything around in his bag or make any sudden movements and they’re going to start making their Trek Back first they’re going to walk over to the other side

The Little Pond Lake area and then start heading back here ho 11 759 ft Parker told us yesterday that in the middle can be a bad thing here depending on what kind of lanes and alleys you like on your second shot so sometimes left Center or right center of Fairway

Might actually be better than dead center I’m paraphrasing he didn’t say that many words guess is that an oxymoron by say I’m paraphrasing that mean to trim down does that mean just to reward I don’t know we’re talking dis off here people heiser’s the language of one Anthony Bella and a very different

Look as Parker’s going to flirt with the left side out of bounds but it looks like it checks up safe probably about 10 maybe 12 ft off of the sidewalk still Gibson look like there’s multiple honks going on out here the putter second shot oh this needs to sit down and then

It catches Edge no chance of that staying in bounds there won’t be a conversation like you guys saw for the Big Arm challenge there won’t be a rules discussion over there as to if that’s out it’s clearly on or over the path that Parker calling his shots out there

Halfway through in great position for birdie here’s Drew I again I I mean I go all the way back to P one feels like there was just too much angle on it or not flat enough I guess however you want to call it but looked like that was the case there so

Gibson canot get it to drop so that one Scoops in and out now here’s Andrew chance to save par and that also not high enough so with cardates looking to possibly pick up Bogies here at best at least from Andrew along with Drew Bella is going to step up take

Advantage the opportunity him and Parker both with birdie looks and it feels like little separ ation might be happening out here well I’m not talking about like what my parents did when I was seven it I I swear it wasn’t my fault talking about a little lead card separation

Here you know I discussed it yesterday too just motions and and Body English and kind of overall feel and Vibe and you can see how it’s going for each of those players distinguish doodle offering up 30% off your entire order use the code the dis golf guy there’s a link in the

Description and we head over to 12 a hole that Bella has struggled mightily with he did so at the Big Arm challenge then in round one we saw him pull this one and just not get over on it enough I should say went out of bounds in round one

Today full-blown adjustment nice work by Barella Lexing trying to fight back the question is does that leave him in territory to run it no problem clearing the water he’ll have a decision to make as to if he wants to get Aggressive comes in short and the spotter well he’s going to mark it so he did clear the in bounds area and that is so crucial for a spotter to recognize and see that otherwise Andrew would have to come all the way back to the Drop

Zone which is the shorter T that we see by a few of the other divisions comes in just shy of 300 ft and still has to clear water and deal with the gunite wall Miranda however will have a chance to save par but now Parker that look non-committed now Andrew chance to save

It not quite dialed today re looking for Redemption he gets it 12 averaged 3.07 terms of difficulty kind of in the middle of the course so to speak at 25% of the field cting birdies you laying up on 12 are you going for that 427t uphill shot

Over the water over the gunite or do you just play up to the right side and try and get up and down and save a three that way that there’s a good question for you in the comments as we Edge closer back to Duke’s Sports Bar and Grill gracious host

Saturday night player party taking place 13 a very difficult birdie to get after as it comes in just short of the OB water but just being able to access this basket not easy Bell’s caught up short often that will lead to an immediate layup we’ll see what he does

And then Parker going up the middle not going with the big Power Heiser he too gets hung up Short Gibson’s doesn’t come down so another 2 meter penalty saw one back on nine they certainly happened from time to time out here as we see a great shot by Andrew but twice in a round I’ll say is definitely not common on this particular course I mean everyone says there’s not

Enough trees out here in the first place yet somehow we’re finding ways to get stuck in them first hint of wind I guess there’s our answer about Bella not really being shy with it so if you are out of bounds or you’re 2 meters

So to speak up in a tree or some other obstacle 2 meters or above you mark the disc directly below Where You Are and that’s exactly what Drew is up there up there yep so you mark it directly below where it is you don’t some people think you knock it down and

Wherever it lands is where you take it not the case and speaking of knocking things down Andrew Miranda one of the few birdies that’s going to bring him back to even par as this plays as the fifth most difficult hole on the course just six birdies in the entire field of 60

Competitors I think that’s 10% ain’t no arborist but got that one figured out Tru in for bogey it’s been a long day guys I’m not going to lie getting a little Punchy here any dis shipping supplies or needs I got you covered yes I actually have those boxes made up they’re specific to

Fitting discs and not only protecting them but doing it at the cheapest possible rates inside a cardboard box usually sell them in 100 count packs reach out to me even when I’m out of town I can get them that order fulfilled and delivered to you also offer up two

And four mil protective bags that a lot of people will put their disc in before they put them in the box you guys know what the steps are though Miranda kicks back inbounds he’s safe AB just about 60% power maybe that one’s low see the Chase card up

Ahead lowline Drive couple of Skips perfect positioning I I don’t know if you can draw it much better than that let’s see what Drew can do also giving him option beautiful nice late turnover there by Andrew Miranda or gentle turnover I should say the whole way really and that comes up just short

Of catching some metal Drew short left side Like a Surgeon out there not a problem for well 29 feet or so for Gibson his Miss has been often short and left kind of scooping in and out and this time right side so putter not nearly as hot as we saw it during the

Opening round Bella seven under through 14 open the tournament with nine that tied for hot round along with Drew Gibson and that looked tentative not confident kind of low and not on nice flat line at all coming out of Andrew so leaving one of the easiest birdies on the course here on

14 just a must get birdie yesterday played as the second easiest hole out here and we’ll see the tap in there from Parker taking full advantage I said it earlier Bella and Parker trying to pull away from the rest of the group we’ll see who else is chasing out there full 15

741 ft you really don’t want to be tight to this left side because the more your out here to the right the more you’re going to play out and around usually you wouldn’t take this line that we are going through right there and then you do have to be concerned with the

Sidewalk that’s just deep and left of the pin I mean if you’re going to get picky would you love to be 10 or 15 ft left of that sure just cuz it’s flat but good distance giving him a couple different options and similar result there for [Applause] Parker that looks

Good not really complaining about any of those three drives and Drew with the full Flex so similar but better than the other three see even as Parker is kind of going down that slope it just really can mess with your release some of your timing you’re worried about how your

Hips are lining up exactly when you’re letting go here if you let go too early or with too much angle it could very easily Carry Out of Bounds to the left side going way up and over oh and it Nails the tree what a nasty roll that’s come back at

Least 75 ft the group doesn’t even believe it robbing Bella of what would have been a relatively short look at birdie and now well out of position as we see Miranda having no problems with his approach You’ take this drive all day long approach eh I give it a me at

Best so you see the tree on the right side of the screen that’s what I believe Bella hit that puts him just outside circle’s Edge if you get past that tree instead he’s got a 70-footer Gibson from Circle [Applause] two putting the hands up getting the jumper to

Drop Gibson one over on the round Parker continues to charge he’s six under Rel currently seven under for the round possibly robbed of a at least much easier birdie look anyway here on 15 but he’ll escape with the par make sure you guys do all the YouTube things I’ll tell you now like

Share subscribe is that one’s left side corner pocket just barely in trying to push to that that 100,000 once I get there I’ll go back 2 months from that date of when I hit 100,000 and if you were a patreon supporter two months prior to when I hit

100,000 two months or longer ago than that uh I’m I’m looking to send out a free disc free a charge just all you had to do is support me two months prior to getting to 100,000 Subs that could come any day could be months could be years who knows

Told you earlier I’m not an aesthetician oh too flat doesn’t catch the edge required to get up the hillside Gibson left himself 20 feet yesterday similar line today maybe not quite as much Glide and this time he’ll be about 35 ft maybe 38 ft Bella pushed toward the OB line

Yesterday went actually out of bounds oh and today it checks up Nick Newton right there on the call on the scene and ab is inbounds but a 45f footer or so death putt coming up and from the hillside Andrew is gonna be at 40 feet Bella setting up he’s about 45

Ft and he cans it AB with a birdie saw Nick says he could have swear he saw it yesterday well guess what here’s yesterday’s shot this is to save the par yesterday almost the exact same distance this is my first ever first light flashback Dan Robin and the crew along with

Boyd thank you to first light for your hospitality oh what oh yes and with all the commotion Andrew just gets up there and pitches right next to the pin Drew roberie huh it rolls uphill in the most bizarre way so now Drew with his parl oh no I think we

Know oh does it have a chance no out of bounds for Gibson so of course he can reput from where he was or he could go from where he was last in bounds and Gibson before that one even stops rolling entirely he’s up there and ready

To putt again so as we were following it Gibson actually went ahead and put it out and Andrew did the same for his PO big shout out to dietr Creative Design make sure you reach out if you have any disc golf course design needs the link is in the description

Below especially in the Arizona area I know he’s been working with Avery Jenkins and uh a few others terms of getting more courses designed and developed here we are on 17 give me an ace all right I guess it’s got to get their first sit down little wobble eventually it’s going

To come to rest AB short range Parker can he ring one up oh off the Rocks somebody would make a cheesy joke about that be in the margarita shot that’s on the Rocks off the rock I don’t know I wouldn’t make that terrible joke but Andrew is going to have no

Problem making that pot right next to the pin so four for four everybody on the island I know what you’d expect at a lead card here easiest hole on the course statistically heck I’d birdie this one every five tries Bella birdie I’m not getting bored with it I love birdies get Gibson’s

Struggled but not that much he’s got it and the slam dunk by Andrew so starf frame even heard a yippe guys this is concluding our day two coverage thank you guys so much for joining like share subscribe I’ll tell you that again hit the notification Bell smash the like button

And all the YouTube things as AB spiking it in and gets it to check up little reverse spin on the Dance Floor leave me a comment as to what you think of this new hole number 18 Tad that they’re playing the reads weren’t able to get trimmed and cut down there

Was a discussion with the city yada yada yada lots of other politics probably red tape and such but uh that’s why they’ve gone here so that’s what I’d like to know is what do you guys think about this I could guess what Andrew might think about it right now not loving

It and of course Sunday’s final round action will be coming to you guys we’ll see I can’t guarantee I’m going to try to get one of the pros in the area uh I’ll spoil it right now and tell you it may or may not be the winner I’m not

Going to necessarily go after the winner I’m going to go after uh whoever it makes sense that can do commentary with me before I leave for Singapore so that’s the requirement that I’m putting out there I’ll be leaving for Singapore on Monday Parker eight under effort

It’s going to put him in second place overall I’m not going to say it’s the uh commentary bump here but Parker wel doing some work big shout out to Tyler and spicy boy along with Marty and the entire casting crew of just unbelievable Arizona golfers and hosts that help make

Every one of my visits so incredible crew over at first light as I said before Pat Perman the Uli family always always so gracious Ricky and crew and I could go on and on and on and then of course all the tournament staff everybody that does work over there at

Spinners you guys are incredible and we’re going to take a quick look at the scores before we cut out but Championship Sunday is right around the corner your lead card will be Bella Welk green and fil Mahala if you hear me I’m the disc golf guy that’s round two

At the Shelly Sharp Memorial presented by Spinners on the green we’ll see you tomorrow

  1. Just signed up on your Patreon. You work so hard and bring such good will to the disc golf scene. Appreciate what you do and how you do it! thanks, Ben

  2. I would have no choice but to lay up on 12 terr. I’m not clearing that with confidence. Guessing it’s over 400 of power to clear? Definitely possible with my noodlish arm but I wouldn’t risk it for the unlikely biscuit.

  3. For me Hole 18 would be daunting. But for the pros, it seems it's just another stock shot. Not much potential for final hole drama.

  4. I'm running 12 all day… into the water! I don't have a chance to make it there. Need some lessons.

  5. Nothing like retrieving your disc with a branch. Thank you for the coverage. Helping to heat up the start of the 2024 season.

  6. I like this course and I like the last hole. Not that challenging a course for pros so design it for precision in mind. Makes for fun off season golf

  7. Terry I discovered your channel by accident. I fell asleep watching jomez 😂😂 when I woke up your coverage of Paige pierce at the Rocky Mountain championships I believe it was was playing. I got hooked after that to your unique style of filming and commentary
