My favorite announcement and I don’t know if Zayn understands why it’s my favorite announcement but my favorite announcement the past two weeks John ROM his team name has been announced zann why do you think I like this announcement uh I think you like the team name
Why uh I don’t know why I mean it’s just a it’s it’s pretty good team name I don’t know so it’s going to be called Legion 13 uh golf club GC um the reason I like this team name do you know what Legion 13 is no so this is actually really cool
So Legion 13 is a name that stands from leio 13 hamina one of Julius Caesar’s most essential units during his Civil War in ancient Rome in the first century it is also guess where they were mainly stationed Zane in Spain in Spain specifically around where in the area
That John ROM grew up in so I just think it’s really cool history you know tying it back to Spain I I really liked it I thought it was really clever it was really cool so the thing the reason I like it has nothing to do with that the
Reason I like it is because it’s different it’s not like all these other ones there’s like smash GC yeah Crushers GC I always thought those were a bit too like let’s generic you know they look like they just came out of a video game you know what I mean they didn’t they
Didn’t they didn’t seem genuine like for in I’ll give you an example look at the Pittsburgh Steelers right Zach yeah what does the p Pittsburgh Steelers logo mean the Pittsburgh Steelers logo what does it mean yeah what does it mean what does it mean that mean what does it mean
Like you know what the logo looks right like right I have no idea what it means exactly exactly exactly that’s my whole point is that it’s not generic no I’m I’m serious it’s not generic you know it’s not like it actually means something deeper than

Pittsburgh I don’t know but I’m just saying like that’s where it comes from it comes from the Union right or the steel the steel company the main Steel company and what it the three stars right the three different colored Stars yeah the yellow the red and the now I’m
Looking over at the screen Carie that’s the guy I could think of yeah so the red the yellow and the blue they symbolize the three necessary ingredients to making steel carbon iron I don’t I can’t tell you what they are but I’m just telling you
That those are the freak so no my whole point goes back to my whole point I can’t tell you what to mean but that’s why tell you what they mean I can’t tell you what they mean but I know that that that’s what it’s from and my whole point is to say
That the reason why it’s cool to me is that it does have a deeper meaning now I don’t give a crap if that’s uh Julius Caesar or not but the cool part is is that it’s not just a generic like a video game name range rats yeah it’s Boston

They haven’t but um Zach I don’t know if you heard but we’ve got a um a def hear a little bit of rumor we heard a few rumors did hear a little rumor so nothing is finalized but US Open Windom Clark US Open Champion Windam Clark is
Reported uh reported to close uh in joining live golf um so that would put the world number one uh number 10 ranked amateur and Asian Tour player Karen Vincent are also rumored to make the move so dude that I mean this whole John ROM thing let’s just get this out of out
In the out out there that opened the floodgates it’s over it’s over well not only that Rory Rory coming out and saying yeah I think it just needs to be over like the fight we covered that last time yeah we covered that last time I know but that like that changed like this
Landscape but it was move I don’t think I don’t think it would have made a diff well it does make a little difference it doesn’t make a difference if Rory is on board or not the mouthpiece of the PGA Tour what made the difference was ROM Jumping Ship
Because all those guys all those guys like ROM they think ROM is respectable there’s a lot of players on Liv that are arguably very dis uh very not respectable and so you have this guy fully respected by these guys and that’s how you get the guys like Rory being
Like well it just needs to end right now yeah but I think the I think the catalyst is not Rory being on board with it no it’s absolutely R leaving is what got Rory on board it doesn’t mean it doesn’t even matter about Rory Rory could have been Rory
Could have been Rand shambley till the tech cows come home Rory could have been Rory could have been uh never on board with this at all this is what changed it oh for 100 I agree so I’m saying anyway I’m not saying it didn’t make a difference before he said what he said
But it makes far less of far less of a difference than ROM jumping [ __ ] I agree and I just think um yeah I just think it’s good for the sport I think that hopefully they make the deal before the Masters and and then I can finally start
Crapping on Saudis because that’s what I enjoy doing on my off time you know what I’m saying so hopefully that happens or or talking no I’m just saying like then I can start pointing out their corrupt stuff you know what I mean and stop worrying about the PJ tour so much yeah
Because let’s be honest out of the two sides here the one that has acted the most uh in disrepute is the PGA Tour by far by far I agree so I agree and I don’t like defending Saudis I I mean i’ I’ve said that countless times on this podcast I don’t like defending
Saudis but whenever it comes to and I don’t mean the ethnicity or anything but but I don’t but I think that the way the PJ tour is acted in all this they are definitely the bad guys they not the bad guys they’re definitely the side that’s they’re acting they’re definitely the
Side acting in the most nefarious ways yeah just that’s just how it is so anyway but yeah I mean it’d be so cool if I mean we know a guy that’s pretty close with Caleb Sarat maybe we’ll we’ll poke on him to see if he can divulge some
Information um sorry I forgot to do that huh oh change it to barely live yeah we’ll we’ll reach out to we’ll reach out to him um friend of the podcast Ryan O’Neal um we’ll reach out to him to see if he knows any updates on that but yeah
But it’d be pretty neat it’d be pretty cool yeah it would be um one more thing on Liv before we get off that topic because everyone loves when we talk about Liv um was uh Phil Mickelson going on the Pat mck McAfee show talking about the business model and the future of
Live golf yes um it was really really good um and he was talking a lot about the the business model stuff was probably the most not most important I guess I guess the most important but also the most insightful thing about this this podcast that he appeared on um he talked
A lot about you know where the money is coming from you know how are they able to spend so much money to you know give These Guys these contracts and then where they expect to make the money back so uh a lot of it goes back to what
Me and Zayn talked about last week when you start a professional sports organization you’re not expecting to turn around you’re not expecting to make a profit immediately H you’re not even expecting to make a profit in like five to 10 years it’s it’s like a 20-year plan yeah is what
You’re looking at and everyone dunking on live about oh they’re losing so much money by paying These Guys these contract no one watches them blah blah blah blah blah well as the as it gets bigger as they improve in both their product and their player pool the eyes will
Go the eyes will go because if that’s where the best golf is being played that weekend that’s what people want to watch yes they don’t want to watch The Farmers Insurance open if the best player there no offense to this guy because I love him but if the best player there is
Ricky Fowler No One’s Gonna watch that tournament absolutely and Ricky Fowler does pull eyeballs but if he is the best like the highest ranked player there at like 20th in the world and you have a live event going on at the same time I tell you
Which one I’d rather watch and it’s the lived one absolutely um but not even so even be on that but places around the world like Hong Kong Singapore all these other places are trying are are using the money that they get in their tourist fund to bring live over and have an
Event in their country yes so it’s not even just you know like obviously there’s bids for courses to get on the PGA tour and a lot of lot of them don’t bid because a lot of them don’t want the PGA Tour to come there but when you have a lot of star players
In a field playing an event and a lot of players that don’t go to these places a lot but you have an the ability to maneuver a schedule which you don’t have on the PGA tour because they have these 10e deals with these companies and courses when you don’t have that locked
In like you do on the PGA tour you’re able to bring in money from these tourist places that have fans of golf that just don’t get to watch these players in person it’s just not an option for them so it’s it’s it’s another thing they’re bringing money in that way and that’s
Another another way that they’re able to produce Revenue um I just thought this was a really interesting interview um I thought Phil handled it very very well um I think it’s again I I think we talked about this so many times in the show it doesn’t even Bear worth
Competing but I’m going to I think that he has gotten probably the shortest end of any stick that has ever existed when it comes to golf fans and golf media he’s Batman baby he’s Batman he’s the hero he’s the hero golf the golf world deserved but not the one it needed yeah
He’s Batman you you know live live long enough to see yourself become a villain you know I a hero live long enough to see yourself become villain but uh no I’m serious so um in that interview the thing that the thing that I took out of it the biggest thing that
I took out of it was I was wrong that was the biggest thing that I took out of it I thought that they were making pretty big because it it appears that way on the outside with them offering these huge contract deals to Talent not
Just in the golf world but in other in other spheres as well we’re talking um uh Cristiano Ronaldo we’re talking um all these other sports if you’re looking at it from Outsiders perspective it looks like they’re just tossing money yeah but when whenever you look at it
Deeper you realize these are really good businessmen yeah um so they’re not losing as much money as we thought they were losing on all these tournaments yeah which just I mean kind of blew my mind the numbers that Phil was throwing around is you know because that that
Means they’re not losing I mean it really means that the only money they probably are losing is Talent money the rest of the the rest of the operational expenses are probably being covered by that travel by the tourism budgets of those countries yeah so that I mean that
Is really cool uh for Liv to do that uh and and the thing I I again I’ll say it till the cows come home even though it’s not as convenient for us Americans having golf be like done in America kind of like NFL or any other sport it is
Really cool in another aspect to see it become the worldwide phenomena you know in these other countries yeah like that is cool yeah well I mean the best way go ahead I was going to say PGA Tour was doing that to a to a very small degree
But they weren’t doing it to the degree that like everybody really wanted it to be yeah um like we want to see more players and again we see a lot of American flags on there that’s not going to change anytime soon but what we would want to see is more of these like
Players from China and the players from Japan us playing all the best players in the world even though you can argue that yeah probably close to 100% are playing on PJ t or are playing on those tours already I don’t want I don’t want anybody in the world that doesn’t have access to
Certain resources to not be able to play at the highest level does that make sense and I’m glad you yeah I’m glad you brought up the resources thing because one of Phil’s Dreams yeah is to kind of make an academy yes where he can bring in guys young talented guys from around
The world give them the resources give them the ability to make it to that top Echelon of golf which they may not have access to in either their local area or Home Country yes and what that does is it brings kind of that European American model of like those
Basketball camps and those football camps that they do uh that sometimes have scholarships attached to them yeah uh in Europe they have a ton ofies that have scholarships attached to them by donors yeah and that’s where you see that’s where hopefully what we’ll see from this is a growing of the sport
At the lower economic Rings or rungs I I don’t want to see kids because everything’s getting more expensive yeah that’s just reality right now yeah I don’t want to see that family that’s kind of where we were at that under 100 Grand right about a 100 Grand uh
Household income I don’t want that to feel Out Of Reach for those kids and right now it’s seeming more and more Out Of Reach for those kids why you see the players that’s why you see the players like and again this is not a bash this is not bashing anybody
Socioeconomically or anything I’m not like one of those 99% we are I’m not like that but if you look at like the oberg’s or o sorry Oar or if you look at the Caleb saratz they they come from money yeah like not a lot not I mean not
Crazy money but they come from money you know their their families pull in hundreds of thousands of dollars in household income and I want those kids I I want kids like we saw at Auburn at our high school I want those kids that or their families do pull in significantly
Less than that to be able to have a chance to play in this sport yeah um and that comes with a lot there’s a lot of growth involved in that yeah number one is they need to have more events in like uh high school and younger uh that they need to have more
Events in high school and and younger because and sorry more days because colleges don’t even look at those single day events yeah so all these kids that maybe are talented like me and you were pretty talented we didn’t know anybody in that world could we have asked sure
But I mean we just weren’t around it all that much um and and I think it would have done us a real benefit to have a guy like you and I now come up and say dude you’re wasting your money playing on the playing these in these small EV
Events don’t even play in them don’t even play in them you know play in play in these two-day events because that’s where you’re gonna get the experience or playing your Club Championship huh spend the $250 playing your Club Championship rather than like yeah a one day Junior event yeah it’s it what I
Just don’t want to see kids without the resources you know because we didn’t have I mean we had certain resources we didn’t take advantage of sure you know yeah but we we were also not around it 100% of the time yeah you know there were kids in Lakeland that were much
More well equipped to make the right decisions than we were and that’s because we didn’t know what questions we need to ask what questions we needed to ask we didn’t know that we didn’t know that um and I’m not blaming anybody but but but myself because I feel like you
Know and and it’s nobody’s fault but mine but at the same time I don’t want another kid to go through that same kind of deal not because it’s yeah not because it’s torturous or anything but just because I want to see those kids succeed you know um yeah like a lot of
Those kids we taught up in Georgia you know yeah so just again seems like Phil’s doing a lot of really good things uh seems like Liv is doing a lot of really good things so kudos to them and uh now we’re going to go oh that’s the
Wrong one now we’re GNA go back to beerly Out of Bounds there we go uh so three-way playoff this week on the PGA tour at the Sony Open in Hawaii Grayson Murray ends up winning over Ben an and Keegan Bradley yeah um in a very exciting
Finished Zane did you get to watch at all any of this tournament I got to watch some uh some of the event I didn’t get to watch the final day very much at all just because obviously NFL playoffs is on and uh I’m I’m stuck watching that
It’s tough it’s tough to watch you know the Sony Open whenever whenever you’ve got NFL games yeah because NFL isn’t all year you know like golf is so yeah make sure you check it out yeah but I did get to watch but I did get to see a lot of
The highlights especially that winning putt by um Grayson Murray to win just 38 foot clutch bomb uh birdie putt to beat Bradley and Ben on yeah that was that was fantastic and good for him I haven’t seen his name on a lot of the um a lot of leaderboards
So you know maybe this is a lifechanger um live cont coming huh yeah contract income I I doubt it he probably already got one a lot of those small guys did get them um get offers yeah they did get offers um Vince Vince Wy got an offer uh from

Up but no it it was a great putt uh good for him like I said I hope I hope it does some good things for him this year it I tell you what it’ll do for him it’ll give him some confidence going into this season for sure I mean the
Great part about the the you know the winter uh tournaments these winter events is it can really get your season started off right really get you into a Groove um I remember when it did the same thing for um who’s playing on live right now um can’t remember his name oh
Man he had such a good season too he won the barbasa he won the barbasa championship really in 2017 yep by one shot over Chad Collins really y huh huh let me look at the standings right now here so anyway but it can really put you in a good spot going into
The season if you if you play good in these events not that these events are the most there’s not the most stakes in them or you know doesn’t really have hold the most glory for sure but like for I’ll give you an example like Taylor G you remember whenever we first started
The podcast the chunk and run podcast he was going off he was going off in these events um early in the season and it really really helped them down the stretch making the playoffs because if you do well now I I mean that can really
That can really win a win the long term barring you have an abysmal season a win right now pretty much guarantees a spot in the playoff yes that’s correct yeah that’s correct just because the way the points work a win is so much more valuable than a second place
Yes yep which it should be right I mean I’m not my problem is like you have guys that like are consistently top 20 but never win you have a guy that wins once like in February and has a has a bad year other than that like well they well what they
Need to do to try and counteract that is give negative points for miscuts I agree with that I mean that would do a lot of good stuff for the sport if we did negative points for a miscut because it’s like if you’re not if you’re missing half your weekends but
You won one event like yeah what’s the point if you won one event eight months ago do do you belong in the playoff no if you’ve missed your last 10 Cuts Like that’s that’s exactly right that’s exactly right and um and that’s the whole point I mean that’s that’s why I wish they

In six and almost six and a half years on the dot six years five months and I believe 22 days is an Ambrose wow so awesome for him gets a big win against some pretty decent players I mean ke Bradley multiple time winner on the PJ
Tour um Ben on has not yet won on the PJ tour but he’s a you know a fan favorite um and um one thing that we’re going to close the show on is a little bit instructional okay oh you’re not you’re not you’re not covering your boy golf

Tournament he hooked it left on 18 into the water God he does that so many times unless he’s running away with it he has a liability down the stretch just an absolute liability yeah it’s so fun because he actually made a clutch putt on I think a
Clutch putt on 17 and then uh Rory the tracking Rory handle on Twitter said Rory period clutch period one shot lead period one to go and then he does that fun to come back too oh just so funny it’s just so funny dude I mean I can’t it’s like he
Can’t help help himself it’s like Dak Prescott when he gets the playoffs he just doesn’t know what to do yeah yeah it’s it’s weird it’s definitely weird um like think about the like the majors he’s won he won the US Open at Congressional by like 14 shots
So there’s no pressure on the final day no um what what other majors has he won he’s won a British that’s right he won the British how many did he win that by uh let’s look at it when uh Rory British Open win are you trying to prove that you’re
Not slow at looking things up huh what it was the 2014 uh he was only two strokes ahead of Ricky Fowler to win that yeah but also you’re dealing with Ricky Fowler who’s notorious for doing that as well so yeah he’s not exactly one that instills a lot
Of fear in you yeah I know um let’s see I get that I get that but he doesn’t do that all the like he doesn’t do that as much as he did like we make it out like he does that all the time dude he did it like two
Years ago in the British he doesn’t do it all the time though he folded while cam Smith spanked his little booty he almost came back and won the Masters a few years back whenever he dunked it from from the from the bunker he was out of that event
Zane he was out of that event like I I don’t care that he finished like tied third or whatever he was out of that event he played the best round he possibly could have played and lost look I’m a Rory hater as much as the next guy is but he doesn’t do that
Every event he does I didn’t realize he’d never won the Masters he got he got beat by C Smith he didn’t lose to cam Smith he got beat by him he finished tights what was it Open Championship do you finish T2 hold on we’re having fun here looking at

But if if you’re just watching them and it’s right before they’re going to play in an event and they’re taking that long yeah it’s like dude pull the trigger you know what are you waiting on that’s gonna hurt you yeah because you’re gonna get these thoughts especially for me
Especially with the short game I mean it’s such a such a area where you have to be like relaxed like you can’t be tense over any shot in short game and and what’s helped me a lot lately is just kind of trusting myself and trusting my body to make the
Movement I need to make when I pull that pull the trigger when I pull the club back yeah um I mean I’ll do practice swings but it’s one or two and then it’s like okay I know what shot I need to hit now it’s just about execution my body knows
What to do I just have to trust that my body does what it needs to do yeah like when I see something like that and then obviously he hits a bad shot there but like when I see something like that I feel like if he would have just stepped
Up looked at the shot you know obviously he could have taken his time looking at the shot but taking 30 practice swings peing over his shoulder every two seconds like this I mean it’s that Keegan Bradley syndrome but Keegan Bradley made the playoff yeah that’s a fact so yeah I
Mean like I said I mean I’m I’m all for somebody hitting the ball when they’re ready you know I teach that it’s like we’re not going to hit this ball until we’re absolutely 100% sure we’re ready to hit the ball yeah because if you’re not if you’re not 100%
Confident things are going to go wrong you know so I I need you to commit to that shot and I need you to to step up and know if it takes you saying something yeah or convincing yourself in some way that’s what it takes but we’ve got to feel totally confident in that
Shot and what this shows me is uh you know he wasn’t completely confident in hitting that shot he he did not feel confident in in his ability to hit that ball um yeah and I mean again and here’s the thing real quick here’s the thing this is why I I
Do believe um we do have a problem I think more than the distance problem you know we have a daylight problem we need to get these grounds of golf done faster and you know we need to do some kind of shot clock I’m sorry I know it’s unpopular opinion I know it’s unpopular
Just start stroking guys okay kka I love when he said that by the way that was hilarious there’s so many memes oh so many I think we need to start string guys they’re so good we need to start stroking [Laughter] guys what’s even better is he didn’t

We’ve just got a problem with these and again a lot of it’s coaching a lot of it a lot of the problem is the coaches getting in the way saying hey you need to think about this hey you need to do this hey you need to take three practice
Swings hey we need to do this because it makes you feel confident over the ball we need to we need to stop that we need to stop that nip it in the bud say a 30 second shot clock put 30 seconds up on the board Let It Roll if they don’t hit
The ball by that 30 second time limit you know then it’s a stroke and you can give guys some leeway but it’s got to average about 30 seconds no yeah I I disagree I disagree because you if you end up in the woods it’s got to be a
Hard set 30 seconds Woods Woods you put it Woods obviously you already have a time limit on when you can find the ball no no no but I’m talking about and the time limit should start the time limit should start whenever you’re behind the ball you’re set and we should call it
Set and it should be something where it’s like they’re behind the ball and looking at their shot right it should be called a set right and so whenever they’re set and ready to go that’s when the 30 second starts okay I think it depends I don’t think it can be hard and
Fast no I don’t think it can be a hard and fast rule but uh I don’t think it depends I think it needs to be hard and fast otherwise you get it’s actually one of the things otherwise it doesn’t get enforced it’s actually one of the things
That dis golf does right that golf does wrong is you have time violations that you can call it’s a 30 second violation but it’s typically not called if like if I’m just going to use golf terms so if like I’m hitting in the woods my ball lays like right behind a
Route yeah and I’m playing in a tournament I’m going to take more time to think about the shot I’m trying to play on that shot than I am am a Chip Shot I just am I’m gonna take more time because I get that but notice what I
Said I said set it’s got to be something that is visible right it’s got to be something that like I have the club in my hand and I’m behind the ball yeah right what you can do is you can say well the the caddy and him were
Discussing that’s not part of that set time period once he has the club in his hand and he’s behind his ball looking at his shot that’s when the timer starts for the video that we played is a minute and 4 seconds long yeah it’s just too long it’s just
Too long and that’s not including him so that’s after he’s picked up his Club he has looked at the shot initially it gets him after he’s walked up to look at the green yes so it’s after all that other stuff has happened which probably took at least another
Minute yes and so this is my point is 30 seconds is already long my problem is 30 seconds is already a long time yeah 30 seconds is not short yeah it’s I’m not being limiting by saying 30 seconds after you get set it should only
Take you it should take you less than 30 seconds to hit that golf shot M we’re talking 20 yeah how long do two practice swings in hitting the ball take 10 seconds that’s it yeah I mean I think that there definitely needs to be I mean for me it’d be more along Pace
Lines yeah um instead of like a 30 second hard and fast roll because like it say you take more time on a shot you can make up the time that you take on a shot by how quickly you move in between which is kind of what is another
Thing that we told our players like hey if you take if your routine is long you better get to your ball fast because like especially in junior terms they don’t do it on the PJ tour hardly ever but you will get stroked for time oh I did yeah Zayn did and not his
Fault but Zayn did no it was dumb it was definitely the other guy the other guy took forever to get up to the 10th T box and we were already like two holes behind it’s like dude h up yeah and he even told this is the worst part about
It is he told the guys running the tournament hey it’s on me you know like but they still stroked everybody in the group aggravating that’s why it needs to be the 30 seconds like you shouldn’t I shouldn’t be stroked for somebody else taking too long yeah that should not happen and
That’s why we need the shot clock because now we can’t parse it where it’s like ah everybody in the groups gets stroked yeah it keeps everybody accountable yeah I mean what’s what you do is uh adopt disc golfs Rule and then so you call time violation
And all it has to do is be seconded by someone else on the on the card and then that’s a stroke but uh yeah that’s that’s the last topic I had for today unless uh you wanted to bring something else up up no that’s it dude I’m all good I thought
You wanted to do a golf instruction thing or was that part of the golf that was the golf instruction thing that was that was it just about just about getting ready to play and I I I I forgot to mention this but for me what has helped me with my short game is
Just instead of overthinking a shot just pulling the trigger because it makes me more relaxed knowing that I’ve hit this shot 100,000 times in my life I have I’ve hit every shot on the golf course 100,000 times okay so I don’t have to worry huh
I don’t think you have I’ve hit a lot of golf shots in my a lot of times I we get it not a 100,000 anyway go ahead bet I I’ve hit a lot of golf shots in my life I’ve hit a lot of Chip shots in my
Life um so I know how to hit a chip shot my body knows how to hit a chip shot so I just need to do what I know I need to do if I overthink it my I my I start choking the club get really really too
Firm with the grip uh I get really stiff with the body especially the arms and the shoulders and I’m gonna mess up that shot or it’s not going to be as good as it could be yeah it’s helped me more than anything is stepping up thinking
Okay this is the shot I’m trying to play take a couple practice swings trying to replicate that and then just going just go the result’s going to happen regardless yeah I mean that’s good that’s a good strategy is is just you know set yourself
Uh you know if it takes if it takes you going to the going to the range and just setting a ball up there and saying how long do I feel until I’m totally confident over hitting this golf shot yeah and if that takes too long then you got to practice being it shorter
Got to practice getting in the zone fast I have a question for you Zane because since you said that I just have a curious question for you are your what are your practice swings for you specifically when you take a practice swing before a golf shot what are they for
So one when you’re in a let’s pretend you’re playing a tournament round no i’ I’ve got your answer so one of two things and this is why I usually take two practice swings to cover both both things so the first swing is a swing to
Get a feel so like whether that be I’m trying to feel a little bit more outside out to in or I’m feeling trying to feel a little more in to out say I’m trying to shape the ball is when you’re really going to take them because you want to
Make sure you’re shaping the ball correctly and having the right swing plane path for that um and then the second reason you ever take a practice swing is to do the exact same thing you’re going to do whenever you actually hit the golf ball and so whenever you’re
Doing the that’s why I do two I do one for the feel whether that be kind of utilizing a swing drill or something and then the second one is just the swing that I’m going to use you know and that’s right before I actually hit my
Golf shot okay and um if that swing feels terrible then I do another one but it never gets past three swings never gets past three swings okay um but if that second one feels good and I feel like oh okay I got it Then I then I step
Up and go you know it doesn’t it doesn’t take a lot more thought than that so okay I was just curious yeah good question yeah what about you for me for me the only reason I take a practicing before a shot um well let me rephrase the only
Before a full shot the only reason I take a practicing before a full shot is to feel the rotation of my body just get comfortable with my body rotating because I know my mishits happen when I don’t rot rotate properly it’s what most bits happen when you don’t rotate properly
So I I just do one practice swing feel my body rotate it’s not a full it’s not like full power it’s really soft it’s just okay that’s how my body rotates okay now I can step up if I need to cut it if I need to draw it if I need to do
Whatever most of the time I’m just changing the position of my feet and making the same swing so that that’s the only reason I take practice swings it’s just to feel the rotation of my body so yeah there you go I mean so that that goes back to that first reason right the
Feel that’s all it is you’re trying to get a feel and again if I’m in the woods I have like a restricted back swing or whatever I’ll do like two or three trying to figure out okay this is how far I can take it back so I need to feel
Like I’m taking it back much shorter than that yeah so that’s the feel though that’s the feel and then the second thing is and you probably might want to include this into your game a little bit is then you need a swing at the speed you’re looking
For with you’re trying to feel that SW the the same trying to feel the same exact swing you’re going to use I don’t like doing that it helps uh see I used I used to do that well I used to do that a lot more when I was swinging
Harder um I don’t swing nearly as hard as I used to it gives you I’m telling you I’m telling you it gives you a lot more confidence I’m just telling you for me confidence comes for me from not just C thinking and caring a little less well that’s that makes sense I that
That that is an ideal mind State uh mind mind state mindset space mindset yeah that is a that’s an ideal mindset but that’s not I mean but you still have to do that in order to feel exactly what you want no I I I understand that so for me um I’ve
Worked this in and out of my game um a little bit um the Alex norin like pull through like over the ball it’s not quite a swing it’s kind of like feeling where the Club face and where my hands are supposed to be at through contact um he’s just my favorite person that
Does that so that’s who I I was thinking who I think of when I do that but that’s often when I’m trying to shape it if I’m hitting a stock eight iron or a stock driver I don’t think about it that much I take one practice swing to feel my how my body’s
Turning and to feel it turn correctly really kind of slow and easy and then I go stock speed yeah I don’t I don’t normally power up on anything just because I don’t feel like I need to yeah well try it I would I would uh you know if you accept this advice I
Would try and incorporate that one last practice swing of like that’s what I want and then stepping up and doing the exact same thing okay and even if it isn’t exactly the same thing is going to be pretty damn close and that’s you know yeah all righty well that is all I have
