Contact is compromised when you shift your weight as I start making a weight shift see my hips moving a little bit here I’m moving more weight into this leg my body starts swaying and this is why you have a hard time striking your irons so whether it’s 1 in or 5 Ines off

  2. This tip was great for me as a beginner. Now as an intermediate player I shift to add swing speed.
    It's important to learn how to do both. There's a time and place for everything

  3. Tom just a quick one – when keeping arms straight, should they be tense to hold them in position or relaxed? I found that today I relaxed my arms so much and hit the ball further, easier and it felt more natural.

  7. Would love to see you get a pressure sensing mat or plate and demonstrate the feels vs the data trend of high level amateurs and pros.

    I have seen so many amateurs sway in the backswing to get the club to parralel and then completely miss the ball strike because their body is allover the place. One easy fix related to this is to place a ball under the outside of the trailing foot to help stabilize swaying, however it won't provide the feel to load up the lead leg to start the downswing.

  8. Great tip! I was shifting and like Tom said so inconsistent with my contact points.I keep about 70% of my weight on my front foot as I turn with a relaxed shoulder rotation no shifting from back to front just a weight transfer.
    I think many instructors exaggerate there drills which causes to much movement.
