[Applause] the sprawling city of Delhi the capital of India with a population of over 11 million people with so much to see and do is our venue for the second Tournament of the 2024 HSBC bwf season on the world tour and here the India open 2024 at the KD Jud of indoor Hall

That’s provided plenty of entertainment we are into the semifinal day here in action and there’s a lot to play for many players looking at this particular trophy the world tour finals it’s a long way away at the end of the year but I’m sure many

Future so this is what we’ve got in store for you here on semi-final day as we mentioned yeah starting off with mixed doubles Jung bang and we asashin the fifth seeds from China take on last week’s Malaysia open finalists Kim wano and Jong n they are seven seeds from

Korea then into the women’s doubles lean May and leanan in an all Chinese Affair are up against Jang shuen and Jong Yu the sixth seeds returning to mix doubles Yong and lein of Chinese Tai take on deap and Subs tanai the six seeds from Thailand who perhaps have just turned a corner

With things y Min well interesting story of how she got into the semi-finals she’s up against TI toing of Chinese taipe the fourth seed that was going to be a really fascinating encounter and then in the women’s doubles Mayu Matsumoto and wakana nagahara the eighth seeds from Japan up against beana and Le

That service over in their career they have 2 one nine semi-finals won eight of them something pretty special you got to say service over to all start of the Year we’re getting to the semis of the Malaysia open losing to UT wat ariso in three that pairing of course went on to beat

J and service over in the final the world champions as well J and weit Jo J CH Jong they beat them in the quarters [Applause] JN done well there service over just to come across and get that he was scrambling wasn’t He his career generally has not had a good record at semi-finals overall together three out of nine they’ve won that’s well well played 4 Three 53 [Applause] 63 starting toh just pull ahead looks like uh that end has now become a bit more desirable going into the drift service over 4 six Kim to Receive [Applause] 5 six yeah but as we’ve seen for the Chinese even when they were trailing for little bits of that first game they fought back very very quickly just didn’t allow the Koreans to Settle service Over [Applause] 75 again they fall short 67 in the previous game as well yeah well short hugely frustrating F service JN really I thought yesterday as the match progressed 86 that semi final against F she just got better and better might be just going to start to step up [Applause]

Tape there for J and it doesn’t go over and the Chinese are in front service over 17 oh no one able just to get firm grip here at the [Applause] moment service over 1817 Chinese in front again this is very similar to what we saw in the last game throwing himself at it there J again oh he tries to do the same Kim 19 brilliant from J just hurt them there Kim it was roet that might be [Applause]

Damaged look at that again he’s done it and again it’s a pretty good shot not quite as good as the previous dive I think it might have just taken Jong by surprise with her return that was very steep hard for Kim to dig that out [Applause] retrieve play really good dive from J

And that g them an all important two-point cushion here service over immediately makes amends 18 19 this isn’t over [Applause] Yet yeah awkward shot for J chopped away at it there 20 match points here for the Chinese [Applause] [Applause] pair another brilliant semi-final performance from D bang and we it’s there night semifinal together out of 11 that they have won a brilliant record for this relatively new pairing they beat last week’s finalist

At the Malaysia open 21 19 21 do one better than last year where they also lost in semi-finals Kimo and j n and it’s a Chinese pairing of Jan Chan bang and we Asin the fifth seeds from China they beat the seven seated of Koreans Kim wanho and joh nut

2119 2118 it’s taken them just over 45 minutes to do so watch watch Watch so an excellent performance here from the Chinese pairing who will advance to the semifinal to the final excuse me tomorrow they can sit back now and enjoy the other semi and see who their partners are on the BL so women’s doubles up next lean May and lanan in an
