Everyone has a dream last year Earl balus fulfilled a Dream by holding the world’s first $100,000 to win dirt late model race a race paying more money to win than many of the prestigious NASCAR Winston Cup races and race fans came by the thousands at the end of the evening

Freddy Smith of Baton Rouge Louisiana beat the competition to take the top prize Smith outlasted Scott Bloomquist who suffered a flat tire with just eight laps remaining event hello everyone I’m Paul Davis and I’ll be bringing the action tonight from this year’s second annual dirt late model dream race over 130 late

Model drivers were in the pits ready to compete in the second annual late model dream here at Elora we talked to some of the top drivers and asked them if Racing for $100,000 to win put any extra pressure on them I do start ninth in the

First heat I feel a lot of pressure right now Well everybody’s got pressure on here you know $100,000 a lot of money to run for you know it takes a takes a lot of luck here to win Tak a good grace car driver’s got to be up as far you

Know and uh you know it’s just uh it’s a hard race to go with there’s quite a bit of pressure that’s the biggest purse we ever run for I tell you it’s really great that Earl has that purses and definitely a lot of pressure I’ve won a $52,000 and I know

There’s a lot of pressure on the final laps in that deal leading the race uh my first concern is to get in the race because of the imersion in the Heats and so forth lot lot of competition everybody’s pretty equal uh but once they get into the race

My car is good we found a little problem we didn’t qualify as good as uh we should have but it’s just a race you know when I’m when I’m racing I just concentrate on being smooth keeping the car straight taking care of the race car

And going as fast and going close to the front or winning the race well like I say we don’t get you know most of our races pay 5 to 10,000 100,000 puts a lot of pressure on everybody well there’s a lot of pressure on all the races really

I mean 100,000 just adds to it uh mainly because you got some many good drivers here you know everybody can make the show everybody can win the show basically but uh the pressure of the money it’s it’s just part of it you know you’re you’re want to win all the races

Anyway and you kind of got to block it out you think about it after you win it if you can win it that’s when it really hits you oh yeah it’s a lot of pressure you know but you can’t let it get to you

You got to just take it as it any other race and you know if you come home the the winner it’s a big bonus there is in a way I guess but we just try and go about it like any other race and you know just do the best we can

Do uh you know the pressure is there you know maybe towards the end if you’re running up there real good you know leading or something somebody’s right on you that’s when you got the pressure you know at the end of the race but you know right now going into it we’re just going

To try and you know get in the race and do the best we can do and you know there’s that a little bit you know in the back of your mind there I guess but cuz you know it’s an awful lot of money so do the best we can do hopefully we’re

There at the end well I guess if a guy said there wasn’t any pressure he’d be lying but uh you know uh a guy can’t really look at it that way I mean you got to come over here with an open mind and you know just be try to be

Clear-minded I guess as much as possible uh and U you know I don’t like to look at the pressure end though we just come here for a race and it’s you know it’s a 100,000 I know but we won’t realize that till it’s over tonight uh not really you

Know I think maybe 10 years ago might have been but we race for quite a bit every weekend now and uh you know this is uh there’s a little more prestige in winning this one I guess and and a lot more money so you know there’s a little

Bit of pressure but you know we feel like when you get out on the racetrack no matter what race you’re in if you’re running good you’re going to go to the front if you’re not you better get in and work on it so you know it’s just the

Same attitude you got to have at every race which is more important the pride and the prestige you’re winning or the money well I think in this one the money you know the The Prestige and the pride is in the world 100 but this one here is

The money I think everyone here is thinking about the money I don’t think there’s anybody here that couldn’t use $100,000 we asked a few other drivers about what they thought about Racing for so much money definitely that it’s in the back of your mind but the the

Biggest pressure right now is is the upcoming heat RAC and getting in to the show to worry about the big money if you if you don’t make it into the show then the big money is no concern at all well you take it like any other race you know

You you come here try to win it and I mean there’s probably 40 cars here but pretty much take it like any other race I guess that would sinking if I want it you know we run the same whether it’s for 100,000 or 10,000 or whatever it is we

Go out do our best and we try to get our car the best and if it works out in racing it just kind of you got to have a lot of luck and if it works your way you win and uh if if it don’t well you try

To come back next time and get them oh I feel real good about it you know they just had five or six more during a year that’d be just great with me you know it’s it’s just a wonderful thing they’ve done here for the racers and the people

And stuff it’s just a a real unbelievable place right now it’s time to go racing with the non-qualifiers race from Friday night and here’s the lineup for the non-qualifier race here on Friday evening on The Bold of the 41d Frank danenberger with eight Mike Cornett on the outside four Bobby cordier and S9

Hopkins providing an extra obstacle for those cars here’s your leader in turn forward as he continues to work the lap traffic it is 21 Billy Moyer of Batesville Arkansas after heartbreak last year he did very well Friday evening did not make the show on Saturday evening for the dream he would

Like to rectify this situation he continues to pick off lap traffic of course he does not want to get any trouble with those cars here’s the battle for second with Larry Moore again to the inside more passing to the inside with 91 Brian dunway on the high side

The veteran Larry Moore and 91 Brian dway that’s second and third that is not for the final transfer position but these drivers know that finishing first second has great advantage over finishing third when the final lineup turns great Williams tries to make this a three-car battle for 2 three and four

It is 21 Moyer with probably at a straightaway length lead right now as he continues to work around lap traffic there is S9 Dan sleeper from puke Wisconsin staying down low realizing that the leader is working his way through the field now just crossing the start Finish Line is the M1 of Larry

Dixon there’s another pass ump Champion he starts at the tail of heat race number four it is Coleman and Terry Phillips Phillips with the advantage as we come out of turn four and we are racing here on heat race number four we have caution of the speedway

Number in turn four you see the white line that is where all races start here at Elora and we had several drivers out of line of course looking for that early advantage and if you can pass a car in the first lap or pass two or three cars

In that first lap coming out of turn number four that makes it so much easier throughout this 15 lap race with each heat race tonight much like a feature event at a regular Saturday night racing activity you’ll see the white line in turn four that is used for the starts

And the orange cone of the backstretch used for the restarts now we’ll see if there’s much more discipline in the field as Phillips who got a great start last time is outside Pullman now they’re more side by side in order the way there should be the green flag UNF high and we

Are racing at Alora Speedway Bing to the inside of 75 Phillips from Missouri Phillips is your leader right now 30 Steve shaver and 6m wend Wallace on a great battle on the low side that’s the battle for third right now remember the top three positions are the ones that Advance

Directly to the a main for $100,000 to win dream race one of these drivers this evening goes home with a dream realized $100,000 and Terry Phillips would like to use his heat race Victory to move on to a great starting position in is Phillips Your Leader with 27 pman second

And 30 Steve shamber third Wendell Wallace fourth 15 Steve Francis is running in fifth place right now your leaders in turn four Phillips comes from a great racing family of course you know Larry Phillips longtime nestar driver in the central region Terry Phillips the leader and

Pman second fourth fifth and six how are we doing there with 6m Wendell Wallace and the 15 of Steve Francis and zero Rick eer it is Wallace on the high side Francis appears to be drifting that way nobody seems to be able to make the car

Stick to the bottom side as some of the drivers in the earlier events have done that is where most of the passing seems to have happened this evening he race actually he race four back to the lead Terry Phillips with a three maybe a four length power length advantage on 27 Bob

Pullman pman who hails from timley Park Illinois is also a second generation driver many of the drivers we see today have followed their dad’s Footsteps in becoming involved in the great sport of auto racing third place is 30 Steve shaver shaver continues to try to advance on the 27 Pullman he seems to

Move just a little bit each and every time but not a great deal of course he already is locked in to the main event by virtue of that third place that is if this race were to end now the field is really strung out several of the cars

Working the High Sight several sticking way down low fourth place 6m Wendell Wallace is perhaps three car lengths behind to 30 Steve schaer but Steve Francis of West Virginia has not been able to advance on him and eer in the zero car has really kept his distance as

Well it’s as if there was a force field between these race cars and they cannot seem to either Advance or move back at all there’s Francis and Rick eard as they continue the battle eard hails from York Pennsylvania it’s the eer trucking he’s a 29y old driver a truck driver

During the week he’s a stock car driver on the weekend and if he could make that car go a little bit faster he’d love to be able to move up into a better finishing position for tonight’s heat race SC in the dream now perhaps a 10

Car length lead for your leader 75 Terry Phillips and he continues on easily motoring around the speedway eard continues right on the backside of 15 Francis he’s looked high he’s looked low on iously now a number of laps on the speedway and the racing service begins to Slick off as more

Rubber is abide and the moisture is drawn out of the racetrack and right now Fran has been able to successfully hold off the E car that really is the closest battle on the speedway 75 Phillips beginning to work his way through lap traffic now always an anxious moment when the

Leader catches is up with some of the cars at the tail of the field who may not realize the leaders are coming and begin to move out in front of leaders that is not the case in this instance however 79 Dan Brown stays down to the bottom of the racetrack realizing the

Leaders are coming through here’s Phillips on the high side next up the B1 of John Lorn white flag is out for your leader Terry Phillips here your leader in turn two right now let’s follow them down the back stretch to turn three from Springfield Missouri the Sportsman pickup covers McDonald’s of

The Ozark car your winner it is 75 Terry Phillip 27 Bob Pullman second 30 Steve schaer then six wend Wallace zero Rick eard the G2 car finishing next that is David Gibson those are your top finishers in heat race number four he started outside pole and and used that to his advantage

In fact pman started on the inside pole position so the cars that were right up front were able to use those starting positions successfully and take it home to good finish order as he gets ready to cross the scales remember these races are held under the offices of the United

Midwestern promoters sanctioning body in its 11th year the cars must weigh at least 2350 lb with the slant style nose with the stock nose 2300 lb all the top finishers must go across the scale as he goes across the scale here’s your winner 75 Terry Phillips heat race number five with a

Former United Midwestern promoters National Champion 75 John Gil of Mitchell Indiana on the poll it is 68 Tim hit on the Outside 12 Rick hland and B4 Jack bogs in row two five Ronnie Johnson 29 Daryl Lanigan seven Jay Spark 93 Jay Johnson three Steve Smith and 55 Fred lren that is row five then row six 25 Kevin rodick D1 Dion Dent 17 Randy boogs 92 Jerry

Gil waiting until he gets right up to that white line before he begins accelerating it’s team hit on the outside obviously Gil believes he can use that to his Advantage here well quick to the inside there’s three wide down the Bri the Fargo North Dakota driver tries to make a dramatic move on

The first lap John Gil leader right now we have trouble in turns one and two a great battle for the lead but right now we have several cars that have gotten together in turns one and two some still looking the wrong way it’ll be a complete restart great heat race action

Heat race five at Alora in the battle of the chassis it’s a Masterbuilt chassis on the pole and a Rocket Chassis on the outside and to show the true nature of this race we have a driver from Indiana and West Virginia on the front row North Dakota

And Kentucky on row number two Tennessee and Kentucky and Row three truly the best of the nation here at Elora for the second annual model dream again the very slow start we’ll watch to see what Auckland does this time as he tries to get the inside of 75 Hill we’re back to

Racing at Elora 75 John Gil leader aan Works to the inside although he was not able to use that to his Advantage as he did last time here’s Jack fog to the inside of 68 Tim Hit it’s nearly three wide Boog gets out of the gases wait a

Minute we’ll try this a little bit later in the evening now Bo to the inside nearly freewind on the front St 75 John Gil has moved to a lead but the battle for second third fourth 5th 29 darl Lanigan and then five Ronnie Johnson early laps here in Alora several

Right to the inside of Brit ockland John Gil has checked out in is 29 General Lanigan right now up in the fourth position 68 hit in fif then five Johnson and 25 ronck ronck in the 25 car is a spun is the owner of K&B wrecking that’s a business that you see sponsoring

Another race car this evening another prominent race car that is Billy Moyer of Batesville Arkansas not only a sponsor but a racer let’s look for battle in second third as boss continues to put the pressure on Fargo North Dakota’s Rick ockland as they continue to exchange sheat metal from Tire B

Bupers do whatever it takes to try to gain that extra Advantage the field begins to stretch out just a little bit 17 Randy bogs off the pace on the front stret he’ll have difficulty making the field this evening 29 Daryl Lanigan begins to move on bogs as we have caution on the

Speedway caution is for 17 bogs on the backstretch the former World 100 winner is off the pace he is about to enter the backstretch pit area 17 Randy bogs brings caution the field will Bunch up again that will mean more great racing action it is Gil Auckland bogs 1 two

Three then Lanigan hit and Johnson when we return unofficially five of 15 complete as 75 John Gil leads the field pass the GW Pierce Auto Part sign here at Alora as the cone of the backstretch the field accelerates we’ll watch to see if ockland can get to the inside of kill as

We return to racing 68 hit tries to get past 29 Lan can’t get the job done lots of cars jumping to the low side there’s 25 rodderick moving down low trying to take advantage as well bogs moved up high tries to use the momentum on 12

Auckland there is no success for him in that vein so far running the middle of the racet track it is 75 John Gil from Mitchell Indiana 12 Rick Ackland from Fargo North Dakota B4 Jack bods of Grayson Kentucky then 29 darl Lanigan of Union Kentucky 68 Tim Hit and five Ronnie

Johnson Bing close behind as well the field show the cross Flags which means we’re halfway through and fogs has really been running close to that 12 car I bet he could give him some advice on setting up the race car because he’s been looking right in there but Rick oin

Would say hey I don’t need the advice I’m running second and you’re running third Jack B now Bo nearly it’s crumble here on the front stretch as the car gets sideways as he tries to work past ockland ockland the experienced veteran continues to hold the position 29 darl Igan begins to move on

The B4 of Jack bogs trying to move up into that final position it is the bump position remember we take just the top three as each heat race Rose in laps the 75 has begun to move out in front bogs is right on the tail of Auckland that’s the battle for second

And third the new wrinkle here is 29 Lanigan who has moved to the high side and trying to use the momentum of being on the high side and just lightly tapping the wall here in Alora to May begin to move through the turns faster getting that turn speed which may turn

Into an extra position they’ll be three wide in turn four here the they come it is 29 Lanigan into the wall with B4 box working on the inside Rick ockland nearly escapes that ockland to second right now and it is Lanigan and bog bog trying to cut off that upper Groove for

Ladig DCS Lan is able to gain momentum on the high side will may may move out of turn four it is 12 ockland B for Bo and Bo gets sideways in a great move he holds on at 29 Lan to the inside of 12 of ockland great racing second third and

Fourth place and we’re not done yet five Johnson and 68 hit are perhaps 10 cars behind these cars it’s the battle for second third and fourth that they’ll be talking about in he race number five 29 Lanigan moves past P4 bog and now past 12 Rick Ackland 29 darl Lan as the White

Field our final starting positions will be determined in this B main contested at 15 laps with Dave Johnson and Greg Williams up front they head past the GW Pierce Auto Parts of Ohio and Indiana sign on the Eldor Speedway backstretch and a very slow pace obviously they think they’ve got the gearing correct

And they can quickly jump out of that fourth turn and jump up to an advantage for themselves it’s Johnson and Williams O’Neal and Wallace ockland and English these cars finish fourth fifth or six in their heat races now they’re in the and they’re underway with babyn Pennsylvania

Your early leader 71 O’Neal in second 17 Williams running fourth right behind 12 ockland it’s a side by side battle for the lead right now with 71 on the the inside and Johnson Johnson with an advantage on the high side O’Neal slip between Johnson and O and that’s the way

They run on last one just the top four Advance here just the top four advance so it’s very important to do as well as you can as early as you can just 15 laps for these 24 race cars lots of action back through the field some two and three wide positions

There’s lots of action up front too as O’Neal continues to put the pressure on 12 D Ackland from Fargo North Dakota Ackland to the inside of Johnson your leader in turn three auckland’s your leader one Johnson second 71 O’Neal third Ben Williams and the six Amar it is 17 Williams and 71 O’Neal in that battle for third and fourth the 17th car appears to not have the grip in the turns as O’Neal in the 71 is able to move away from him as they work through each and turn 6m wend Wallace who started outside of Road

Two has drifted back a little bit he right now is running in fifth place with 42 Todd Andrews of Pennsylvania running right behind him and then I believe it is zero Rick Ecker right behind Andrews as well everyone’s aiming for those top four positions 12 Auckland has just checked out one

Johnson then 71 O’Neal 17 Williams six Wallace here’s the challenge for second O’Neal trying to use that inside Groove under Johnson but there was not enough there Johnson continues running through the middle of the racetrack and it is first second third and fourth as it has been for several laps Johnson

And second O’Neal who runs a temper company in Martinville Indiana in third Then Greg Williams in the Sterling sponsored car in fourth Todd Andrew in the 42 has moved up to fifth place right now wend Williams is running in six they begin to look for the

Tighten up the field considerably Your Leader just coming up on the 96 car 96 Terry English with trouble in turn two he got up against the wall you can see the smoke coming from the car he hails from Benton Kentucky looks like 71 Conley has come to a stop up in the turn as well Conley started on inside of row number seven and apparently this will be the end of the dream number two for Delmas conlay of Wheelersburg Ohio eight down seven to go in the B

Main the last chance to make the dream two here at Elora Speedway the dream flag held high and racing action continues 12 leader Zer car tries to use the highight on several cars we’ll watch his progress right now most of the field hanging down low and trying to use those

Low positions it is 17 Williams in the Sterling beer car underneath 71 Don O’Neal that’s the third and fourth place battle respectively Williams again with a challenge as the 71 car drifts just a little bit 17 Williams and 71 O’Neal side by side wheel to wheel Here Comes

Zero eer he still could be a player as he Taps the wall goes underneath Andrews in the 42 car he’ll be oh and there’s trouble as Williams gets into the 71 cup and then five Johnson and 16 faler into the 17 of Williams that car that was

Running brilly just a moment ago sits nearly destroyed on the front stretch 17 Craig Williams in the Sterling bear car with several cars running into him we have a red caution we have a red flag situation on the speedway and The Eldora rescue Personnel quickly out to check on 17 Greg

Williams as a testament to the sturdiness of these race cars after all of the drivers were checked no one was injured and were able to continue racing here at Elora Speedway 12 Rick ockland one dve Johnson 71 Don O’Neal who was nearly involved in that Rec with 17

Williams zero Rick eer to the outside looking to advance to the third position 42 Todd Andrews and 66 b Johnny Veron right behind there remember the top four will advance so we’ll watch these cars a quickly checks out Johnson now up to Third and moving a to that zero car is

Hooked up on the high side he’ll challenge the one J DAV Johnson from Pennsylvania and work the high side as Johnson is Middle to the low side of the racetrack now on of turn four here they come and Aur is your second place star he’ll begin to look for 12 Rick Ackland

Your current leader of the B main the laps are dwindling down just the top four Advance right now Auckland eer Johnson and 71 O’Neal in fourth those are your CS which will advance 66b Johnny veren is beginning to challenge the 71 car of Don O’Neal you remember

His car his car being the 71 O’Neal car was tagged by the 17 car of Greg Williams earlier and he was able to continue racing so he’s had a lot of action already he would like to continue in this fourth place but Johnny BT would like to take that final transfer

Position away buron looks to the inside and O’Neal does not appear to be able to keep the card down low to be able to challenge White Flag White Flag for your leader it is 12 Rick oand they are side by side for the fourth and final transfer position John O’Neal just has

Four more turns we’ll see what happens your leader already in turn three here’s the challenge on the backstretch it’s Veron to the inside of O’Neal your winner at the Checker is 12 R A he advances to the dream then zero eer Rick eer one J DAV Johnson at 66 buron just

Four the light bulbs begin to pop as all the fans begin to wave and Shear for their favorite drivers saluting the best in the dirt late model business as they come around turn four the drivers are waving back saluting the race fan because indeed without the race fan and

You can hear the cheer from the crowd without the race fan friends this event this Speedway this night would not be possible the for ab breque salute to the race fans from the participating drivers in tonight’s late model dream race one of these drivers will realize their goal

Over 130 The Unofficial number I heard was 139 drivers participating in the activities we’re down to the final 24 and who will the winner be will it be fry in the 66 or Gil in the 75 will it be 75 Phillips or the rat one of Bob

Pierce how about 21 Billy Moyer or 99 Donnie Moran seven Tony Carden or M1 Larry Moore 75 Bart Hartman or 27 Bob pman those those are your first five rows in your first five rows we have three cars numbered 75 but race fans we think you’ll be able to pick out your

Favorites among all of these drivers and sit back and enjoy the dirt late model dream the pace car is up now with Bill fry and John Gil accelerating into turn three this is the dirt late model dream 2 as the Field Works through turns one and two 75 John Gil your early leader 66 fry then 75 Phillips 21 Moyer down to the inside running in that fifth position as well we’ve completed lap one the battle for third fourth fifth and sixth is an extremely tight one with

75 Phillips 99 Moran the inside of 21 Boyer with one pierce on the high side now Moran coming to turn three has to get out of the gas warer with an advantage on the inside of Pierce in the red one car Pierce uses that high side momentum and moves to that fourth

Position but you can throw a blanket over fourth fifth and sixth the field is still very tightly balanced with several Labs under the belt some of the cars making their way through trying to head to the front of the field 75 gild Your Leader 66 fry second then 75 Philip 21

Moyer to the inside of one k 99 man Le the high side of in a fast place right now it is 21 Moyer moving into fourth 21 Moyer to Fourth early on many of the vehicles not working to the low side but rather staying up high using the momentum of

The high side and the cushion of the wall and the cushion of the RAC Jack just up near the wall to propel them through the early laps your leader from Mitchell Indiana is 75 John Gil there’s a pass for third and 21 Moyer goes to the inside of 75 Phillip 21 Moyer to

Third last year the disappointment when 21 Boyer did not make the program after a dominating night dominating night for the nightmare the night before the dreams Saturday night last year of the dream weekend was not a good one Billy moer would like to see that change he is

Now past 75 pets 99 Moran now on the sale of 75 Philips car one Pi has begun to move down to the low side Pierce down to the low side of the 99 Moran car will watch that battle that is the battle for fifth and sixth position two wide on

Turn four Jerry Phillips and Donny Moran really having at it Bob Pearson the one car watching to see what happens right now running the middle of the Racetrack Your Leader right now is 75 Hill as we watch the continuing battle between 75 Phillips and 99 Donnie Moran the other 75 car CL Harman is beginning to join the field behind Pierce as well it is Moran and then 75 Phillips we’re back to the front

Where the 66 C beginning to make the move on 75 Hill it is 75 Hill and 66 fry now less than two car lengths theart 21 Moyer continues to advance making sure to burn up the tires early in this 100 lap event we watch to see how

66 Bill fry continues his Advance on your leader he looked to the inside thought about it that time decided Well maybe it’s a little early we’ll see what happens here as again he looks to the inside but does not make the passing attempt on veteran John

Hill R has come all the way from Green briy Arkansas in fact two of the top three cars right now from Arkansas with John Hill the leader 66 pry second to 21 Moyer third 99 Moranis but we up to the fourth place now is beginning to track down the 21 of Billy

Moyer soon I believe instead of a three car battle for the leaders Moyer has joined the pry with Hill and the 66 fry car 99 Moran will soon be there as well crossing the line it is Gil fry and Moyer 1 2 three fry moves up even closer

On Gil and Moyer even closer on prer soon will be in lap traffic the leaders right now are perhaps a quarter length of the speedway behind the last car which right now is the one J of Johnson more pressure on your leader from 66 fry as he looks to the high side

Then the low side here is lawyer in the 21 to the inside of Bill fry 66 la pushes down low and he successfully takes that second position but Cy retakes it in turn four it’s a battle of the chassis as well with a msv chassis your leader in

The 75 a GRT chassis in the 66 and a rer and chassing in the 29 c 99 Moran quick fors to join the party as we have a challeng for the lead in four 66 fry gets underneath Gil but does not complete the pass he sees having some

Success down low tries it but then decides it’s not the thing for him to do right now your leader into turn three it’s a fourar battle for $100,000 imagine the excitement for these drivers imagine the challenge for these drivers as now lap traffic will soon play a

Role 75 Gill 66 fry 21 Moyer and 99 Moran all running in Fairly single pile order and lap traffic will be a packer in the next lap Johnson to the 1j is left by 75 Hill 28 Kevin clof will be next in order then 30 shaver as these

Cars are running at tailor field we’ll watch to see if the cars that are running at the tail of field move down to the inside and allow the leaders to work their way through snd D Johnson to the inside realizing that he won’t be able to effectively compete in fact

Johnson the one J is off the pace 7 Gill 66 R 21 Moyer 1 2 3 Kevin clle next in the sights of Gil fly and Moyer here’s Moyer the inside of pride no pass and no go Donnie Moran seemingly content to ride behind the 21 moer car realizing it

Is early in this race Moyer continues to use that lower line you wonder what effect that has on his tires perhaps he’s able to more gently work around the racetrack on the low side now it is 75 Gil working down inside Lake home in the 75 car 665 looks to the

High side of the 28 car we’ll watch to see what happens here as lap traffic could change a position in that top four Moyer again looks to the outside of clom clom realizing the left traffic he is part of the left traffic mov to the inside then Donnie Moran who had tried

To go underneath the 28 car had a bit of trouble but he has successfully completed the pass 91 dway being left by your leaders now as the field begins to string out lap traffic so far has not brought any changes in the leaders late model dream start

Race Cy has stayed right on the tail of Hill throughout this event Hoyer moved back a little bit now 99 Moran joins the field as well in your leaders couldn’t really be any closer considering this will be a 100 lap race I’m sure if we were at at lap 90 these

Cars would be just a little bit closer but right now they feel safe having the front car 75 John Gill in their sight next car that’ll be challenged on the front stretch and into turn one will be 30 shaver 30 shaver about to be passed by your leaders and I believe 15 Francis

Is next in line after that your leaders using a consistent High Line all four of them lap traffic moving down to the inside no question so far in the thir late final dream John Gil has led every lap but he’s had serious competition he hasn’t been able to relax 66 dri 21 moer

And 99 Moran some of the best in the business right on his ta 30 shaver has been left and and now 15 Steve Francis has been passed by the leader SE by F here’s fry working to the inside of the 15 car fry gets by 21 Moyer and 99 ran

Soon will pass through as well we have our first car that is flowed it looks like the B12 of Kevin Weaver from Gibson City has slowed up in turn four you saw his hand high in the air an indication of the other drivers that he indeed had mechanical problems he quickly gets out

Of the way B12 Kevin Weaver pass you United M Western promoter Series champion in a rer and Chassis powered by Hickson engines Scott blumquist started towards the tail of this field as we’re ready to restart the dream he’s already moved to eighth position we’ll continue to watch

That SNS custom tape 18 from Morrisburg Tennessee as he advances through the field in 27 laps he is moved up substantially in this dir L ronal dream and will’ll continue to monitor his progress as we return to racing 27 green lap before the B12 of Kevin Weber brought up

The caution they pulled the car to the infield get some work on the race car Weaver returns to the racing surface unofficially just two cars have retired the one JF Johnson and 28 Kevin clayo we have several cars that are laped but we have cars just two cars that have

Retired the leaders continue to run right up against the wall as racing action continues here at Elora let’s reset the stage with 75 John Gil and 66 Bill fry 21 Billy Moyer and 99 Donnie Moran literally the fastest four and uh they have led this group most of this race

Now Bloomquist continues to make his Advance he is at seven right now he is in seventh position and is working the high side of the racetrack I believe that is 75 Hartman behind Pierce will’ll watch as they come down the front stretch now here’s Hartman and 18 blumquist here’s Taps the wall Hartman

In the inside of the racetrack and Bloomquist in the 18 all the way up to seventh position Bloomquist started inside Road 10 so that is a substantial Advance against the best in the nation who come here to Elora it’s Hartman to the inside of Pearce in the onear Hardman and Pierce Hardman down

Low Bloom Chris tried that area but he has moved up high and Hardman the 75 in front of Bob Pierce in the one that is the battle for four here’s blue quit out of the inside of Pierce and he is able to get some good side bite through the

Low side of the racetrack and take over the sixth position Pierce drops back to seven Scott Bloomquist continues his Advance on the field your leaders now perhaps half a straight away away on the tail of the field 75 Gil 665 21 Moyer 99 Rand All experienced veterans knowing that the

Race is not won in the early Labs or the middle laps it is one at the end and you need to keep the race car intact in good running order and ready for those final 20 laps the charge that happens then because who knows what can happen then

You can’t burn up your tires early on you got to save them for the end of the race John gills taking a Sunday Drive he’s been CH challenge occasionally by the 66 fly car but basically has been in command of the field it is Gil Your Leader by second Moyer third Moyer

Hasn’t really made any Challenge on 66 fry 99 Mor looks like he’s about to challenge the 21 car then at 75 Hartman 18 Bloomquist one pierce and 12 Rick oin those are your top Runners Moran continues to look like he’s going to make a challenge for that third position

He runs in the middle of the RAC track sometimes dipping down low this dresen Ohio veteran to the inside of Billy Moyer boy the lamps that Moyer and Moran have on this racetrack leading races and winning big races here at elor Speedway here’s Mor we said he looked like he was

Going to make that challenge he did but Moyer is ready to take it right back on the front stretch and the fans are stands and cheering as that battle for third and fourth continues and it’s not done yet 75 Hardman and 18 Bloom Quest have the probably the best view in the

House on that they’re running in fth and six right now and watching moer and Moran H at it meantime your leader 75 John Gill is about to enter left traffic with 15 Steve Francis at the tail of the field that battle for third has proved to be a great one here is the

Challenge again in turn four this time Moyer overpowers Moran Moyer continues in third place you can see Moran staying right to the middle sometimes low side of that racetrack this right now is the most entertaining portion of this race the 22 race cars are all putting on a

Great show but Moran and Moyer are putting on a driving exhibition as well 75 John Gill 66 Bill fry 21 Billy Moyer 99 Donnie Moran 75 Bart Hartman and 18 top Bloomquist $100,000 on the line your top six cars now 75 Harman slows so your top drops down of your top

Five 75 Harman slows it looks like he’ll move to the infield there’s a tough break for that c right now we’ll continue with your leader 75 Gil as he is working through left traffic around Francis soon to take on chaver and 66 R 21 Moyer 99 Moran 18 Bloomquist

Bloomquist begins to challenge the 99 Moran car so not only is Moran having to challenge the 21 of lawyer but he has 18 Bloomquist to deal with as well probably six p is behind Bloom the 12 of Rick a and one of Bob Pierce it couldn’t be any

Closer at 75 Gil continues to attack the back of the lead lap field that includes Shane Yoder in the 8 y car at B12 Kevin Weaver Boyer running the inside of the racetrack CRS having to pick up the pace realizing that 99 Moran and 18 Bloom are close at hand Weaver

Is has the car get a little bit loose in turn two as the leaders go by now the leader with a little bit of trouble with the AY Shane yod car has to get on the binders that’ll tighten everything up now with a dramatic move to the inside

75 John Hill byy will look to go to the outside of the 8 car we’ll see if that has any effect on the lead order apparently not as 21 moer gets out of the gas making sure that there is no trouble with the 66 and eight cars in

Front of him 99 Moran 18 Bloom quit right on Moyer’s tail it couldn’t be any closer friend your top cars are all bunched up as the green flag laps continue here at Earl bol’s Elora Speedway Blomquist is right on the 99 Moran car he is right on his tail they

Are about six Paces behind the 21 Moyer car as they continue to work themselves through left traffic 66 fry currently running second tap to the wall and 21 Moyer to his inside it took just one mistake for the veteran speedster from Batesville Arkansas to move to Second pry drops back to third here’s

Bloomquist with a challenge of the 99 car no go the BR flags are being shown to the drivers 50 laps complete we are halfway home and your top five cars your top five cars are all within sight of each other 75 Guild 21 moer 99 Mor on

The inside of 66 fry you wonder if fry damaged the handling of the race car with he tap the wall in turn two here’s Gil Your Leader way down low as he tries to work through lap traffic that looks like 114 Randle chop 99 Moran now working behind 18 Bloomquist

As Bloomquist slips by the 99 Moran car on the high side TR as will back behind Moran as well so let’s reset the stage just past 50 laps your leaders working very very low 75 Gil 21 moer 18 blue quit all the way from inside of the 10th row then 99 Mor 66

Pry and I believe Pierce in the r one would be your next car although that is unofficial many of the cars that were part of the lap traffic have now been passed 91 Brian don’t away in front of your leader there’s a good move by Donnie Moran to the inside of left car

Randall chup as he moves past chup and now it into turn one Your Leader all working the low side of the racetrack Your Leader Gil pass 91 dway putting a lap on Brian and Bloomquist has moved to Second Place underneath Moyer obviously motoring well on the low side 18 is Scott Bloomquist

Is running down your leader now 75 Gil he has no cars in front of him Moyer in third but here is morand working the inside of Moyer as lap traffic continues to play a bit of a factor here the cars having to go down low some cars not

Working as well down low allowing passing for some of these top five competitors Moran continues to look to the inside of the 21 car Moran to the inside of the 21 automobile 66 y has dropped back in fact one pierce is beginning to challenge him as well it

Is 75 John Gill Your Leader 18 blo with second 21 Moyer third 99 Moran in fourth place and 66 fry and one pierce back to your leader here is Mitchell Indiana’s John Gil who hoping not only to win $100,000 but talk to somebody about some

Lap money because he has led all of the laps in this second annual late model dream race all there’s no lap money posted but he certainly has led many of them and I’m sure he he’d like to start a campaign for that right now but his most important business is to look in

The rearview mirror and see 18 Scott Bloomquist of bburg Tennessee he ran so well last year and suffered a flat tire just within 10 laps of the completion of $100,000 dream race it is Gil and Bloomquist they are perhaps 10 car lengths the head of Boer in the 21 and Moran

99 Gil working the high side of the RAC trck abusing his tires very much just a very smooth steady work through list the same way in the J&J steel car it’s a masters built chassis for Gil and a very right chassis for the 18 of Bloomquist down the backstretch they go we’ll keep

Right with your leaders and there’s a bit of an advance for 18 Bloomquist is the leaders in turn four 75 kill patiently holds on to that lead he sees that 18 car and sees him flip right up underneath but does not change his line he continues to hold off the

Challenges of 18 Scott blumquist and those challenges are only going to become more and more intense and we can expect the 21 Moyer and 99 Moran who are running in third and fourth and now they have a great view of the battle for the lead we’ll watch to see who’s abusing

Their tires that may be the story as we continue in the late model dream 75 Gil 18 bloomist bloomist is riding around right in the middle of that racetrack Bloomquist hases not run many of these United Midwestern promoters series races but apparently it hasn’t affected him on knowing the setup for Elora and

The correct tire compound because he’s moved all the way from that 19th starting position of to challenge the pole sitter 75 John Gil for the lead it looks like 21 Moyer and 99 Moran are beginning to advance on your leaders as your leaders begin to challenge lap

Traffic in a couple of laps as well the battle between your leaders has slowed them up and allowed the third and fourth place cars to begin to close the gap into turn number four it continues 74 Gil and 18 Bloomquist neither of them changing their line at All the change may come when they get in lap traffic sometimes the opening will happen for a driver to charge to a part of the RAC trck he doesn’t normally run but is able to make the pass and we’ll see if that happens here lab traffic will be a concern 66v

Ver 15 francis8 Yoda at the tail of the field and we’ll document it for you as they come on down the front stretch and collect another lap just one caution period so far just when now Bloomquist looks to the inside of Gil but does not take

Advantage off of turn two Gil decides to go down low and Bloom twist looks to follow him as 15 Francis goes down another lap Chris content to stay right on the tail of that 75 car 66b burden riding in front of the 18 blue and now Gil has to

Accelerate high on the backst eight Yer and 66 buron in front of your leaders it is 18 blo to the inside 75 G in the high side left traffic so very important and John Gill masterfully works his way down low in front of the bloom twist C Bloomquist not ready to challenge on

This lap but rather to save the battle for later here’s comes 21 Moyer and 99 Miranda join the freay as well 66v buron being passed by 75 Gil then 18 Bloomquist but we have more than two cars in the lead battle hunt now it’s 21 Moyer and 99 Moran are really

Moving you can see double of the cars running up the tail of the field the car is getting a little bit Loose as perhaps they have already burned up their tires the B4 AB is really moving from side to side and it takes an experienced veteran

Like Jack bogs to hold on to that race car and keep it in good order 75 kill out to the inside of eort then dway then shaver Bloomquist does not let him get more than one car apart the combination of Moyer and Moran are still working through some of those

Left cars but Bloomquist keeps right after the 75 car and you’re seeing some of the best dirt late model drivers in the country do what they do best not only go fast but work through lap traffic in a safe and orderly manner saving the race car for the end you’ve

Got to be there on lap 100 to collect $100,000 from Earl balst and Moyer is continuing to work his way through traffic there 66d buron zero eard and 30 shaver in front of Boer and mor and Moran tries to work his way on the low

Side the car gets a little bit loose he has to readjust as well your leaders in a par all by themselves 75 Gil goes past Blackjack BOS putting him a lap down 18 Bloomquist sits right behind BOS and will try to complete the lap on the backstretch your third and fourth place

Cars are perhaps a quarter of a speedway length behind that lead pack with 66 we check it with 21 Moyer and 99 Moran following some lap Vehicles trying to thread the Neel through now trouble in turn two it is 75 Phillips up into the wall caution on the speedway and

This will jungle up the field considerably here are your unofficial top cars right now 75 John Gil has led all 77 laps it’ll be a 23 laap dash for $100,000 18 Scott Bloomquist second the 21 of Billy Moyer third 99 Donnie Moran fourth 12 Rick Ackland fifth sixth Bob Pierce

And seventh Daryl Lanigan those I believe are your top seven cars as we look for 23 lap for $100,000 the B4 of BOS is a left car and he and 18 blue really have at at BOS does a good job of holding out of the race car and that’s lick racetrack your

Two front cars are headed down the backstretch hurtling into turn three three and four 18 Bloomquist down low and he assumes the lead Scott Bloomquist from Morrisburg Tennessee assumes the lead just short of lap 80 75 John Gil Works to get it back cannot in turn two

We’ll watch to see now if blumquist can extend that lead or Gil can hold that car back and reain him in meanwhile 21 moer in 99 man continue to work through lap traffic remember the lap traffic was put back into place at the completion of the last lap before we started on this

Last restart so far just two cautions in the late Vel dream with a seven carlink lead 18 Scott Bloomquist the J&J steel bar right Jesse cornet powered race car heads into turn two he continues to advance the lead 21 moer begins to hunt down John Gil but right now there are

Two LEP cars B4 bog and 30 shaver in his way Moran has the 21 car in his sights as he works around 66b Johnny buron well brick oan is right on the tail of 99 Moran right now so there are your top five it is Bloomquist Gil Moyer Moran and ockland one through

Five Your Leader is in turn two now and now down the backstretch 18 Scott Bloomquist one of the best known and most recognized dirt lay bottle drivers in the country the J&J steel Magnum high pressure car number 18 has assumed the lead late in the race John Gil perhaps

Two tires have gone away after leading the first 77 laps Gil right now apparently does not have anything for 18 Bloomquist Moran begins to make his charge on 21 Moyer as Moyer has trouble with 30 Steve shaver Moyer looks to the high side drifts up a little bit Mor ran down low

We’ll watch to see if there’s a p of the maset no there is not Moran is consistently running a lower line than 21 Moyer now they pull side by side in turn four Moyer and Moran Moyer has seen the TA Mor has seen the tail end of Moyer’s car for much of

This race and he’d like to change the scenery a little bit Moyer however would like to move up and begin to catch that 75 car of John gillers currently running second Your Leader Bloom cliff in lap traffic as he goes by Phillips in the 75 car now he has a substantial portion of

The speedway perhaps a quarter of the speedway ahead before he reaches more lap traffic we still watching the 99 car of Donnie Moran from Dresden Ohio as he continues to put pressure on the rer Chessie of 21 Billy Moyer Moyer who has had such trouble last year has had a good solid

Effort hasn’t really challenged for the lead but certainly has been a great part of this dream two now ockland begins to work his way on 99 Mor and mor has to take his eyes off of the 21 of Mo and begin to save that fourth place as oand is working the inside the

Laps are dwindling down the claps are dwindling down Bloom Crist is checked out so is 75 Gil here on the front stretch the battle for three four and five is a very tight one your leader in turn three is Scott Bloomquist 75 John Gil perhaps a quarter length of the

Speedway behind him and maybe another quarter the speedway to 21 Moyer Moran and Auckland it’s a substantial lead for 18 Scott bloomquest and he again is beginning to work the lap traffic he is substantially faster than many of the race cars running at the tail of field

Now trouble right in front of him it is the 66 car up on the wall right in front of the leaders the 66 Car brings up the caution you can see the other cars putting on the brakes and getting a little bit sideways this will set up a very short dash for

$100,000 you see the leaders begin to move down to the inside 10 laps to go who will it be $100,000 on the line and the best of the nation are here at Elora 18 Scott Bloomquist 75 John Gil 21 Billy Moyer 99 Donnie Moran 12 Rick oin your top five

Are nearly Bumper to Bumper and we’ll have a 10l dash for $100,000 Moran with a challenge to the inside of 21 Moyer cannot get the job done done it is 12 ockland right on his tail ockland to the inside of Moran it’s a battle for fourth and fifth and there

Is no pass as Moran holds the position 18 Bloom begins to extend that lead on Gil the B4 of bogs is a lap car 21 Moyer 99 Moran and 12 Auckland all on the lead lap unofficially the next car would be 29 landig and then one pierce but right

Now we’re concentrating on your lead cars as it’s a five five and a half car length lead for 18 Scott Bloomquist will this be the year he thinks back to last year when just a few laps too he suffered a flat tire that cost him $100,000 here he’s hoping it will not

Happen again John Gil who led the first 70 some laps of this race running second right now running in third it is 21 Moyer who has set a bit of a lead on 99 Moran he’s having to deal with 12 brick o Moran really has his hands full with the 12

Aran now offland with a pass for fourth in turn two down the backstretch they go side by side these drivers these professionals know the lefts are few these hand the signal is out to the drivers five lefts to go as they come by a front stretch your flagman holds up

His hand indicating five more lefts now clear sailing for your leader it is half a Speedway before the next laps car 18 Scott Bloomquist then 75 John Hill the lap 75 and B4 then 21 a moer the battle for fourth with 99 Moran and 12 ockland nearly

Getting together both of them having to gather it in Moran holds in fourth and ockland runs in fifth position we are under five left for $100,000 Your Leader is Bloomquist then Gil then Moyer that shle for fourth is a great one as Moran Works under lap traffic and ockland allows the Moran car

To move under there but ockland stays down low and although he has not made the pass he continues with a great racing effort Johnny Moran cannot concentrate on catching up or passing the 21 car if he has to work on holding position against the 12 car here’s the white flag one lap for

$100,000 the Barry R chassis the Coronet motor working at full capacity the driver working that way to 18 Scott blist Your Leader 75 John Gillan second now one more turn a checker and a $100,000 check for Scott Bloomquist your winner 75 John Gill second 21 Billy moer

Third 99 Johnny Moran fourth 12 rck oin in fifth unofficially Daryl anigan 29 in six and one Bob Pierce in seventh there you have it race fans last year’s disappointment turns into this year’s dream your winner in the car 18 from moosburg Tennessee the veteran the very popular 18 Scott Bloomquist your

Winner Scott you had to come from a long way to take home a $1,000 I tell you you know that’s two weeks in a row you know we’ve taken in 130,000 the last two weeks so 19th starting spots been good to us you know we uh we knew the RAC

Trck would be where you could race on it tonight when it gets like this you can race all over it and you know we had a good car tonight and uh Ford motor cornet built us as strong and you know Barry right race car was so strong

Tonight that uh we could move all over the racetrack and that really made a difference and you know the rest I just tried to wield this thing it it was really uh more than I could ask for tonight you think you’d have trouble working where to some of the leaders and

And what did you think when you saw that caution my 77 you know when I saw that caution I felt pretty good because uh John the longer he ran the better he got and me I was a little better off of cautions we were still as good or maybe

Better on the long greens but you know he would uh he would get almost as good as us if we ran a long time so as soon as we got a caution there I thought this is my shot you know and I I was a little worried about vogs holding me up but

When I got right by him I was pretty confident and uh and we got got the job done right away were you worried about uh running out a tire like you did have had some earlier incidents here no the track was too slick tonight it didn’t

Wear tires a bit uh you know we stayed in this 18c bracket the only time you hurt tires at this racetrack is when it gets really fast and uh lays a lot of rubber down and gets down in the low 17 second brackets so tonight we didn’t

Have that problem at all we had plenty of time left congratulations with $100,000 I guess it’s sweet dreams tonight oh boy I don’t even know if I’ll Sleep Oh
