All right everybody welcome back we are talking about what’s in the bag series and I am going to talk about irons today so in my bag are the p790 from tailor maid black these are the 2019 model so I’m going to talk about those um I switched from the mauno jpx
919 forged uh to the p790 so uh in my younger days I did play the mauno MP4s which are bladed iron okay so if you know uh if you know your irons obviously blades are the toughest to hit uh small heads they feel great when you catch it
Right in the sweet spot but other than that uh they are going to be light on forgiveness uh they did allow me to work the ball when I was a bit stronger and more agile uh than I am now so I switched to the jpx 919 forged and I
Liked them uh but the head was a little bit too big uh for for me and it was a little bit lighter and so uh I’m sorry longer not lighter uh and then so I went to the p790 okay so kind of a great in
Between of those two for me uh the head is just light lightly or just slightly smaller okay um it is going to have that forged feeling so it is a forged iron okay it is a forged iron it is a player distance iron and you can hear uh my
Neighbors have a have a rooster even though it’s the middle of the afternoon here uh they’re going to have a forged feel all right they do have the speed foam so it is injected with that urethane speed foam all right that’s going to help with ball speed okay delivering unprecedented
Ball speed uh to tailor made and it looks like I’m rep by Tailor Made I am not I just love these irons um inverted cone technology on the face okay thinner face again allowing for good ball speed here and then it does obviously on the inside where you can’t see but right
Here around here they’re going to have a Tung insert okay they have a Tungsten insert so that’s going to lower the center of gravity all right and give you a better launch all right higher launch help you hold greens that kind of thing they have come out with a newer model
The 2021 model you cannot get them in Black yet they only come in kind of the Chrome traditional more look all right but they are awesome both models are awesome um you can still find these they’re they’re rare all right and so they’re almost still the same price or
Even more expensive than a than a new set if you want to get the black uh but you know DM me get on my Instagram I can help you find a black set of these no problem um I do have the KBS tour flight 120 stiff shafts uh in these I have like
Them my tend I tend to hit the ball really high especially with irons um and woods and so I like a lower launching shaft just to kind of help keep some of that ballooning um out of the way and then I play the MCC grip right now from
Golf Pride U I am the process of kind of a swing change and I do think I’m going to change over to an extra stiff shaft that’s just a bit a bit lighter that’s going to kind of still be a lower lunching shaft but a bit lighter to kind
Of help with some speed but also kind of gives me the stiffness because I do generate quite a bit of Club head speed um even at my at my current game and then I always I have these nice little uh Garmin uh trackers on here that go with
The the S uh 62 watch so uh these track all of my club help me kind of get yardages down and get my numbers down uh and I really really can’t speak highly enough about the uh the Garmin GPS setup so if you have a chance to uh pick any
