5 things I’ve learned from watching the world’s best golfers play live👇👇👇👇👇
1) They’re better than you already think they are. When you watch the beat golfers play live, you quickly start to appreciate just how good these players are. They look good on television but it’s hard sometimes to see just how tough their lies are, or how undulating the greens are. When watching in person, you can see everything and start ti realise why they’re professionals.
2) They spend a lot more time and effort thinking about how to play a shot and going through their practise swing routines than the television shows. On tv, the coverage generally just cuts in when the player is ready to play, but when you watch golf live, you see how much effort goes into club choice, the effect of wind, ensuring nobody is moving etc. Rounds aren’t quick, though! 😂
3) They eat and drink a lot, and it’s healthy. Sandwiches, bananas, nuts – if it’s good for them then they’ll be eating it. Not a Marsbar in sight.
4) The sound of their golf ball through the air is like nothing you’ll hear on during a Saturday medal. Even if you’re playing with a really solid club player, the sound of their ball wont come close to that of a pro. They simply just play a different game.
5) They human and do make mistakes. Yup, even the very best players in the world misread putts, duff chips and generally don’t hit every shot perfectly. Yes, most of their shots are good but television coverage generally favours the players near to the top of the leaderboard (especially on a Sunday), and these players are usually playing well, so don’t make many mistakes. But, behind them are many, many players struggling – you just don’t see them. When you watch golf live, you do, and it’s not always pretty but it does help remind you that even the best players do play bad shots.
