I can start to see why people are going what is going on at the PGA Tour like what is going on with golf in general now in this video we’ve got three huge talking points number one the PJ tour have finally made a decision on whether they’re going to suspend players that

Took place in the qualifying school for the live golf promotions event also another sponsor has been lost by the PJ tour and it’s a big one and I mean like huge you will definitely know who this is honestly and finally there are some rumors and reports going around that

Talks didn’t take place from the framework agreement for a number of months we’re going to go through all this in this video so welcome back to a brand new Breaking new story here on Back N films so a number of PJ tour players competed in last month’s live go

Promotions event basically to bid for a spot to play on the Breakaway circuit I think a lot of PJ tour players are now going well they’re playing for a lot of money the the chances are I’m going to be able to play PJ tour and live golf

Let’s get over there now now this qualifying School event is for golfers who aren’t aren’t handed the huge paycheck to go and play live golf straight away so you can almost qualify like you would for the DP World Tour and the PGA Tour G golf hosted this in

December with three spaces on offer heading into the event it was a little unknown whether PJ tour players would be able to commit competing whether the American based Ser circuit would ban them and they would lose their PGA Tour status and it was literally like a bit

Of a yo-yo one minute they said they can go and play because it fell outside of a live golf schedule it’s a promotion event had nothing to really do with it when it did I think that was just an excuse then they made a u-turn

To say no no I think we’re going to ban them now and finally they’ve come to a decision now there were a number of big names at risk like including Jason dner I mean he’s gone a little bit off the radar and former Ridder cup star Jeff

Overton so we’re talking about big names but big names a little bit from the recent past now I’m going to say right now there has been such confusion up to this point on this matter alone but there are also reports going out that Keith Pelle is sort of made murmurs that

He’s in the job for the next three months at the DP World Tour to try and get this over the line and on June the 6th when the framework agreement was well made public to us all there was a six Monon period where Liv Golf and PJ

Tour bosses didn’t speak now if that is true what the heck is going on what the heck is going on that is not right for us as golfers I mean imagine being a PJ Tour player now for one minute I I I don’t feel sorry for them because

They’re earning a lot of money the guys at the top it’s more the guys who are just getting on trying to earn their Crush trying to make their way on the living it’s a tough one and Keith P has also sort of murmured that a deal could

Have been struck within a 3month period it hasn’t needed to take this long just the fact that negotiations didn’t start right away crazy this is why for me right now there is so much confusion now in late November last year it sort of came to fruition that the PJ tour had

Softened their stance on the Breakaway circuit and a spokesman revealing PJ tour members were able to play without sanctions and as I said this then changed it has now come out and they’ve said that there will be no punishments towards players that played in the Liv golf promotions event or their

Qualifying school who currently hold a PGA Tour card or category and I think that’s fair but one thing that I don’t think is fair is this isn’t it right okay so PJ tour players can go and try and qualify for live goal but surely that has to replicate back so

Your likes of Brooks keper your likes of Dustin Johnson your likes of Bryson why aren’t they allowed to come and play on the PJ tour surely there’s got to be like a back and forth here well maybe that’s something that’s going to be down the road and maybe that soften stance is

Because we are close to a deal I mean April will be here before we know it can you keep up with this video there is so much going on so we’ve learned PJ tour aren’t going to sanction any players and this is what a PJ tour spokesman has

Told the media we’ve also heard that negotiations didn’t take place for around 6 months which is absolutely crazy I’m mind-boggled on that let’s get to these sponsors now we heard earlier in the year that that the Welsh Fargo had decided not to renew as a title sponsor for the weight Welsh Fargo

Championship the last time that would have been would be May 9th to 12th in 2023 after that event they decided not to renew now listen to what I’m about to say here we’ve all heard of the Farmers Insurance open Ricky Fowler had it as a title

Sponsor now it has come to light that Farmers Insurance will not be renewing as a title sponsor for the PJ Tour event the Farmers Insurance open when it expires in 2026 according to sports Business Journal the brand is also cutting ties of Ricky Fowler following a decade long partnership with the PJ tour

Star May this is to do with live golf okay listen to what I’ve got to say here sources close to the insurance company have told SBJ that the farmers will be cutting back on a number of Executives it sends to months Farmers Insurance open now they have being the title

Sponsor of this event since 2010 and for the PJ tour this is worth around 14 million a year so we got two major title sponsors that we’ve lost if that one’s worth 14 we’ve got to say that the Welsh Fargo is going to be around the same

Amount let’s say 14 15 million a year so a huge chunk of money like a huge chunk of money where are they going to find this Gap well I guess this is where Liv Gulf would come in now apparently many companies working with the PGA Tour are

Said to be taking a wait and see approach as neg as negotiations with the PGA Tour piff and DP will continue to try and reach a deal that would potentially invest billions into the tour included in this sort of conversation is RBC Canadian open and the RBC Heritage with RBC being the

Sponsor as one of those as a company they are waiting to see what is going to be done with the deal before renewing for 2024 so a lot of companies are very much on the fence to what is going to happen the question I’ve got for you is would

The PJ tour lose a lot of sponsors and do they anticipate losing a lot of sponsors if they sign this deal with Liv golf I’m going to say right now yes is probably the pragmatic answer to both of those questions because maybe people don’t want to associate with live I

Don’t know but isn’t it strange that we’re seeing companies leave and not take a stance because negotiations is on Troubled Waters right now it’s a very very strange place in Gulf right now and I’m managing to keep you up to date with all this news and if you want to stay

Keeping up to date subscribe turn the Bell that way I can actually make sure you know exactly what’s going on within the golf industry

  1. I certainly don’t have any insight into corporate spending or sponsorships but I think in general there is a real concern about the American economy in 2024. Companies are downsizing and families are scrutinizing their discretionary spending. Wouldn’t be surprised to see more companies reducing sponsorship across all sports.

  2. Both Wells Fargo and Travelers are hemorrhaging money right now because of poor business decisions and increased insurance claims.

  3. They will lose more so American sponsorships but I wouldn't worry because the PIF is wanting to make the professional game global so they will probably gain more international sponsors and pool the money.

  5. way to go pga, you ran yourselves into the ground with your pearl clutching grandstanding bullshit

  6. Once LIV receives OWGR points, the DP World Tour and the PGA Tour will be relegated to the position of feeder leagues for LIV, Majors, and Ryder Cup qualifying.

  7. Inflation in the US is a real thing. Insurance rates have sky rocketed as well as claims from all of the catastrophe's throughout the states. They're not signing policies and are scrutinizing renewals, they just layed off 2400 people and supposedly there will be more coming. With that said it makes financial sense to stop spending money on sponsorships that really don't yield them any return on that investment. Losing money on an annual basis isn't good for shareholders as well. I believe your jumping to conclusions on your take about PGA and LIV, not sure that has too much to do with it looking at the big picture.
