BUT IS THIS NEW TAYLORMADE Qi10 MAX FOR YOU?

In todays upload I dive deeper into the driver that PGA & LPGA stars Collin Morikawa and Nelly Korda have already put in the bag.

The Quest for Inertia is here with the most forgiving Driver TaylorMade have in the 2024 line up. 10’000 g/cm3 is achieved with this model but find out what that actually means for your game, how does an increase in Moment Of Inertia make a difference?

More carbon, a different housing for the face, a new blue look and different alignment features on the leading edge that Rory McIlroy played a huge role in helping design. All the details are dropped in this video, details from TaylorMade engineers and PGA Tour information that the best players in the game will be listening to as they begin to use this driver around the Global Tours.

I also walk through an initial fitting into the Qi10 MAX and the launch numbers I am looking to impact on my Full Swing Kit.

Be sure to #subscribe as this isn’t all I have coming this week. With 2 more models to cover in the NEW TaylorMade Qi10 Family of drivers I’ll be uploading more content this week than ever before.

So here we have it all the hype is about this the brand new head cover it looks awesome it looks clean nice and pristine white with the Navy on there but you can see the name qi1 this is the model the lineup of the drivers I’m going to bring you three

Videos over the next 3 days we’re starting with one that is called the QI 10 Max this will be played on tour Nelly cord has been testing this driver she’s loving it why are you starting here trotty why the QI 10 Max because this is

Going to be the lead one that I think is going to work for most of us out there as golfers that are looking for maximum straight easy not losing energy on a m hit distance the qi1 is the Quest for inertia at 10,000 G per cubic cm that is Qi 10

10,000 this driver what are you going on about trotty hits that 10,000 number meaning it’s moment of inertia those of you that have been in touch with this channel before that you know when it comes to equipment what I talk about the moment of inertia is the reduction to

Twist you’ve seen it across a line of products that I talk about it’s in the spider Putters it’s in the cavity back larger irons the peripheral weighting whenever you push weight to the edges it helps reduce the Twist on an off-center strike and that 10,000 is what we measure it’s actually going up

Significantly versus last year’s model of driver and other models on the market so without further Ado let’s take a head cover off and get into this and see exactly what 10,000 and the Quest for that number looks like so there you have it look at this bad boy what a beautiful

Looking driver you know me you know the way I like to look at them first let’s go players view let’s not even introduce a golf ball just yet there are a few differences the carbon on top of this thing is gorgeous it’s up to 97% carbon now it’s got this ever long

Everlasting car carbon flow to it that just goes over the whole crown of the golf club whenever you get more carbon in there think about race cars they use a lot of carbon Formula 1 cars use a lot of carbon what happens is it’s so light literally when you pick this thing up

There is nothing to it at all we’re able to do that at the photo shoot and it blew away the tour players and it blew away everyone that was there the day that we first got to see it it means though that you can move weight as an

Engineer the guys over at tailor made over there they love this cuz now it allows them to place weight in this golf club wherever they want it then you go into the Leading Edge which not a lot of people will focus on first but again you

Know my style when it comes to making these videos this is the view we’re going to spend looking at this club the most so what does the Leading Edge give us well first off the face as you can see it now this blue finish that’s why

The head cover’s got the Navy in it it’s a red redesigned carbon face on there the housing which you can’t see as the golfer which holds this has been changed by by Tailor Made so that it maintains energy off off center strikes of the three drivers again tomorrow there’s

Going to be another one and the day after a third video but of the three this one is going to lose you the least energy on these off-center strikes the housing around the edge you can’t see it as the golfer that holds that new design carbon face is what’s going to help

Maintain speeds that line on the top though that gives us the contrast between Leading Edge and Crown is beautiful to set the differences between the two and as golfers who line up perpendicular to the Target you know how I like to test golf clubs I’ve got the

Tour aim down for people that then want this 90° parallel to both sides now it gives you a true definition of where you’re going to want to set that it’s got the through slot in there moves listed a speed pocket moves across the whole face so that you don’t lose speed

Again looking at it from the sole this is all carbon this piece at the back is literally the weight that you’re able to set back there it is so far back that it changes the launch significantly on this one as you look at them as a three it’s

Going to launch a bit higher that’s how it gets thei the moment of inertia the reduction to twist CU you have this weight so far back there’s some pieces in here from before this inertia generator you can see as you look down here it’s actually designed much lower

On the side I’ve got my fingers that as the club moves through positions in the down swing that helps then with speed so as my golf club moves through these positions air can flow over the toe and give you a much quicker Club speed to give you more efficient more higher

Energy ball speeds Loft sleeve in there that we dial in we might need to do that in this session I don’t know I’m going to hit some but obviously I can adjust the Loft sleeve now as well always been in tailor made equipment for some time that changes face angle and also spin

Rates and then then you have this movable weight up the front here that will be adjust if you wanted to change swing weights or anything when you went for a fitting with this so let’s take a first hit see if we can transcend some

Of the sound to you guys as to what this would sound like off the blade it is a larg looking head no doubt you’ll get used to it but of the three together this is going to be a large looking driver head but that’s no big deal is it

We know that that’s a good thing so like always when we come to test I’m going at the Street Lamp down there if you are testing new drivers just remember it’s not about slamming it as hard as you can it is about trying to dial in the feel

For this thing for your Club fitting hence why I put everything down frame it all up and really try and get a feel for what I want to see so let’s just go at the edge of that tree set up nicely not try and kill this thing see if we can

Give you some sound effects on this bad boy little bit low in the blade if the parameter of the Fairway which I like to set right side would be the red flag left side would be just on the edge of where the canyon Cuts in that’s very

Much in play for a strike that was a little low in the blade spin rate is at 3100 8.6 launch so you can tell I squeezed that a little bit but as we dive into our numbers here you’re also going to tell extremely extremely efficient so from a 160 ball speed which

Is not quick this the first real swing of the day for me and a club path that is left by 2.9 again I’m going to give you the fitting as well as the first look on the new driver so that’s path pulling left a bit which for me is left

More than what I normally would be you can tell it was squeezy 3100 spin so that is a bit spinny so there’s plenty more in the tank here let’s try and get a bit more efficient on the swing get moving a bit better this morning and see

If I can get a bit more out of this so that one was was hit I’d say low Center you can see the ball doesn’t cut off I mean how straight is that that is something that absolutely needs to be recognized on that and that was hit

Pretty good the spin is still quite high so for me the way I’m hitting today yes the spin was up but when I get into normalized it went 262 carry 281 total as I get more efficient with these spin rates we should be able to change that

Now this could be too spinny for me definitely in this setting but at the end of the day and let’s move that now actually if you’re a golfer that needs spin because you don’t hold it on line or you struggle this is a good start point so I talked about Loft sleeve

Let’s get into that now before we hit too many more I don’t want to hit too many shots if you’re in for your fitting try and read off of it the first couple of golf shots let’s move this one click towards lower so literally the club will

Come apart like that back in this makes a massive difference taking Loft off off the blade which will take spin off I need to get a bit more efficient in delivery we’re seeing that but I think we can get there now What’s happen the blade has gone a bit more open that line

That identifies Leading Edge peels a bit more off to the right so I should be able just to hit this with a bit more Venom bit more on the way up hopefully get a little bit more efficient see if we can drop the spin there’s an adjustment much higher

145 on the launch still a high spin let’s go again see if I can really turn one for you lovely here’s my take on that ball speed’s gone up cuz the Loft has gone down whenever you take the Loft down the ball speed goes up it is early they’re

Still quite low spin rates come down normalized gain me now to 265 288 I still still think there’s more in the tank the path has improved a little bit I’m going left now less than I was the attack angle is still a little steep

That is how I come down to it but from a driver point of view 110 Club speed 148 smash Factor that’s how efficient the driver is I think I can hit it better than this but even just warming up look at how straight it’s going now the thing

I wanted to strike home on that one was the initial launch of that that feels to me as a player it launches High the driver launches high and you don’t need to help it shot number three there was definitely trying to help it it’s something you don’t need to do the way

This is designed by having this CG deep back here that is the lesson that I want people to take away from this fitting this driver launches it you do not need to help this in the air that is a great thing if you’re someone who struggles

With driver this Max for sure in the simple fact that it has a CG all this weight so far back with all this carbon in there you’re going to get the launch I wouldn’t say I’ve ripped one yet and I’ve hit three in play one a little down

The right let’s really stay forward on it and commit to not launching it in the air stay forward on the golf ball and let the driver do its job see if I can close with one to get dialed and there it is right on Q down

On the banner fading a little big hop that’s what we want to see that was hit much better that is now getting close to where I need to be so let’s have a look at these numbers and dive into it launch and spin are what are going to create

The ball flight when you play with these guys that maybe don’t hit it as hard as you but they’re more efficient it’s launch and spin that they’re looking at they’re the only two numbers you really need to dive into so that was more speed it was smash Factor 1.5 that’s how

Efficient the club is when I talk to you about offc Center strikes and getting the energy out of this when you’re working with tour players they’re going to be looking at that they’re now educated on these numbers 2,200 spin we’ve dropped a, from where we started what does that mean it’s revolutions per

Minute it’s why all the tech is in this it’s why you adjust the Loft speed Loft sleeve to get the spin where it needs to be club path and delivery well we saw it was a little drifty because the path was a little bit down that’s me that’s not

The golf club and again any great fitter that you see is going to be able to work that out with you but in terms of where you live on fitting for this that now has gone up to a 272 and a 291 total off of early morning swings that is the key

Here that for the speed I’m putting in because I’m maxed out of my numbers that’s where I’m getting the energy out so that is the qi1 max that’s some of the things I look at for a fitting I like having alignment stuff down to help

Me I don’t get too lost in that but what I do do is look at how does the blade look and what launch am I getting out of it and they’re my two biggest takeaways from this I can play this driver with not much loft on the face which means

I’m going to get maximum energy out of it and it will still launch based on it being the max you saw how those all right it’s a snapshot but how they hung in there nothing went offline and I think that is what is going to strike Q

When you test out the qi1 max be sure to dive into the description below in there I’m going to have a link to this product I’m going to link to the new tailor made drivers check them all out make sure you bang that Bell notification and come

Back tomorrow as we’re going to cover the next in this model of great brand new drivers from tailor oh

  1. Prefer the matte finish off the og sim drivers tbh, less glare, less finger prints,,best sounding driver to date is that og sim,,

  2. Will the QI10 be part of the Try Before You Buy on the TM App? Please say yes I’m dying to hit this and customize my build

  3. Georgie I’m pretty trash at hitting the ball straight but I want to treat myself with a nice new driver lol which spec do you recommend someone like me

  4. 288 total with the next big thing, you was hitting the old driver better trottie ! Drivers can only go so far, its all down to the player! which Chris demonstrated well..

  5. I set the Qi10 Max to 8.25 loft perfect launch & spin numbers. I might have to switch from the Stealth 2 to the Max is just so forgiving.

  6. what is the weight in GRAMs for the back weight of the QI10 Max? cant find it on the website.

  7. Would you rather have a full bag fitting of new Taylormade clubs?
    Or dinner with Nelly Korda?
    I know what I would choose….

  8. With my current driver (sim2 max d)I have wayyy too much launch angle but the draw bias helps keep my slice at ease. Would you think the max model with a lower loft help get the launch down or should I be looking towards the LS model with the adjustable weight? Thank you for all your content. Always informative and concise. Cheers
