The PGA TOUR returns to Waialae Country Club this week for the Sony Open in Hawaii and the first Full-Field Event of the 2024 FedExCup Season. Si Woo Kim will be in Honolulu to defend his title. He recently claimed a gold medal with Sungjae Im in the Asia Games and started off his 2024 with a T25 finish last week at The Sentry. Ludvig Åberg will be in Hawaii this week. The Swede finished outside the top 40 at The Sentry but will take some confidence from his 10-under par on Sunday and victory at The RSM Classic in November. The victory was part of nine straight top-15 finishes worldwide before at the end of 2023. Matt Fitzpatrick will also have confidence at Waialae after playing well for a T14 last week. He ended 2023 with three-straight top-10’s including a T2 in the BMW Championship. Others to look out for are Brian Harman, Sahith Theegala and Tyrrell Hatton.
