Around the strip will be halted by five by 8800 PM by 8m so everybody can get out on the street and enjoy themselves now they say it’s going to be a um 8 to n minute Extravaganza fireworks and these pyrot Technics include um I guess they call it the crossing comets they

Racing uh yesterday Linda rice in New York tied the New York Racing association’s record for the most wins by a trainer in the N racetracks in a single year of 164 wins she did that yesterday today she has a chance to break it uh she will have uh a total I
Think uh covering five race I think she has eight horses in for five races we’ll have more about that with Jonathan ardun a little bit later on and so before the show Jonathan and I were trying to put odds on whether she’s going to break it
Or not I think it’s like one to five that she’ll do it today sometime so she’s going to be a new record holder we think by the end of the last day of this year that’s for sure trainer Richard balus will return to the races after his
Long suspension he has a couple of horses in the first race today at San Anita so we’ll wait and see about that going to start the new year maybe with an old year Victory coming back we’ll wait and see about that as well and we have great racing across the country now
As far as across the today here in Las Vegas it’s cold it’s uh I think in the low 40s right now we’re going to get up to uh the high 50s maybe 60 before the day before the sunsets but it’ll be chilly out tonight so make sure you wear
Uh accordingly to some cold weather out there but no wind is expected which would halt the fireworks display we have no wind and it should be clear skies tonight as a matter of fact across the entire United States now that all that weather has passed through it looks like
It’s going be clear and nice throughout the entire United States tonight just a little bit of action going on way up in the Northwest but nothing to worry about as far as temperatures is going to top out at 70 today in Miami 45 in New York where they’re starting to line up in
Time Square you’ve got 35 five in Chicago that’s rather chilly there that’s for sure and in La uh 61° here in Las Vegas as I say we’ll get up to about 5960 before we top out today and uh so the weather looks great across the country for the New Year’s Eve

Paid 920 that outr running gr Aspen and New York traffic and in the Fort Lauderdale which was the the local prep for the Pegasus World Cup Turf winter there was Main Event jav castalano aboard going wire to wire got a nice rationed ride by jav calano here main
Event for George Weaver that was Weaver’s second win of the day a $25 each St going gate to wire in the Fort Lauderdale out running King Max and Jerry the Nipper finished third in that race mandatory payoff on the pick six yesterday at gstream that thing paid $
31,35 eight in the Mandy yesterday at Gulfstream Santa Anita got to tell you they came out with all these warnings at Sant Anita all this uh you know stuff about well we might cancel the races we might not be on the turf at etc etc etc
Well it turned out to be almost perfect at San Anita yesterday they did uh take the first race the Joe Hernandez off the hillside Turf course but they did run it on the turf and they also ran the Bobby Frankle on the turf and for all intent
And purposes it was a pretty good day out there at San Anita as far as track conditions were concerned all of that flooding and all that that rain that came through there obviously missed most of Arcadia because it was a it was an okay day of racing out at San Anita so
All the warnings were for not really in the first race that Joe Hernandez at six and a half furlongs on the flat Turf this time the winner there was Forbidden Kingdom with the flavian Pratt at 1060 for trainer dick Mandela outrunning dancing buck and turn on the Jets and
Then in the third race the Bobby Frankl at a mile in 1/8 on the turf the winner there was Angel nashiko uh with Antonio fesu aboard for Patty Gallagher paying $39.80 this one stole the race just calmly got out on the lead and paced it just right and they couldn’t
