Can you describe what it’s been like this season and this moment when you secured it oh yeah I mean this this is everything we’ve been working for the whole offseason you know coming in training camp this is everything we’ve been talking about been working for so

Obviously it was a lot of uh adversity throughout the season but uh the guys the whole team we stayed together kept fighting kept finding ways to get better um and now we’re here going to the playoffs so that’s exactly what we work for you guys continue to improve all

Year what makes this team scary going into the playoffs I mean I feel like we just keep getting better and better um we haven’t reached our ceiling yet so um we’re going to keep that mindset going to the playoffs and uh you know go in there and uh have that Underdog

Team that they don’t even know this so you know there’s something naive about that you get the playoff it’s okay you good it’s not a bad thing at all naive you don’t even know what you don’t even know and Jordan love earlier this year like you said did struggle a little bit

But the thing that I like about what they do up there in Green Bay they let him develop through that and now he stting to come through on his own he’s starting to figure it out one of my biggest pet peeves about this league is that it’s so much win right now figure

It out right now we want everybody to be great on their first ever start you got to develop guys you got to let them grow you got to let them build and they’ve done that in Green Bay and that’s the point I’d like to take off on I know I’m

Sure I’m my age here but coach it wasn’t too long ago when quarterbacks coming into the league had to carry the clipboard for a couple of years to learn the pace of things not a bad thing to the point about you talking about young guys developing and you know what that’s

The one thing I’ll say about Aaron Rogers and you can a lot of things you can say about him but you know he sat there behind Brett fa he he he was patient as well you know and Aaron Aaron developed where he’s at now and I think

He’s trying to give that a little bit that wisdom back to Zach Wilson whoever he came to the Jets I think he has tremendous leadership qualities and I think he gave a lot of those things to Jordan love and I I think it’s you’re talking about Jordan love what he did

Today and what he’s done is speaks for itself yeah and and check him out the patience in the pocket you got Wix in the back of the end zone he takes a shot and just when he decides to throw on time he can do that as well check out

Over a 100 yards it sets up the play action it sets up a lot of those things he like to do down the field so the offense really runs through Aaron Jones because it opens up the pass game it makes Jordan love more comfortable and

Jaylen Phillips those are two of your stalwarts on defense that have a great chance of smacking in the mouth and that’s tough to do and then on the offens side of the ball you have Wadd and Moler who are a little banged up right now um and you talked about it

This team is known for their speed and in football historically I’m not calling this team this but speed is usually coupled with finesse and I’m not saying they’re just a finesse team they can still bring that grit but they have to have a victory where it’s not just us

Being the fastest team on the field they’re going to have to beat you up on offense and on defense to prove that they can play through these gritty moments in the postseason cuz that’s what’s coming next that’s the question one and four against teams was winning records you you guys played other sports

On a kneel down we get it the game is over we lost that’s fine this is embarrassing as a defensive player when somebody does that to you when you think you’re letting up so I can understand why they were mad about it I can understand why he stood for them um if

You want to score a touchdown fine I don’t care about you scoring more points line up off form don’t do it out a victory formation I need to say this to the league did a tremendous job they put these divisional games in week 18 yeah and these games you talk about they’re

All personal because you know what you’re going to face this team that’s a good point you know what you’re facing this team so the records don’t mean anything and for some of these times these teams this maybe the last time I see you this year I’m going to see you

Twice next year yeah so don’t think that and I’m going to remember oh yeah you want to see Victory so let’s watch this first game next year when the schedule comes out there’ll be some people circling that game so that’s what I love about the fact that this week 18 playoff

And we’re moving into the playoffs JB it’s just not good for the Philadelphia Eagles right now I mean some other injuries that took place today and talk about Reston players are playing players well this was TJ this was a game that they had to win and unfortunately he had

The MCL good news as TJ mentioned it say grade two Sam leapa that looked that didn’t look good I don’t think he’s going to be ready for the playoffs and that’s a big part of their offense as well and he’s a Sol AJ Brown so you know

That’s the thing that you don’t like to see you almost you want to see teams coming into the playoffs yes you’re dealing with some injuries but man you don’t want to lose someone on week 18 as as a player I try not to get into the

Mind of a coach at the end of the year I’m trying to stay healthy maybe even uh pad my stats a little bit but I don’t envy you guys because I I believe that the toughest decisions you guys have to make is that last week deciding who we’re going to

Play why is it worth playing and then who we’re going to bench and how do you keep both of those guys right equally interested in the week moving into the playoffs you know I think the most important thing is is how do you practice and I always thought that you

Have to practice fast and if you don’t practice fast it’s hard to turn that on on Sundays if but if you practice fast and practice smart cuz you can’t just always hit people I’m talking about practicing smart which means taking proper angles but running past them making sure you can run routes full

Speed cuz that way I can sit you on Sunday but you’ve practiced very hard Wednesday Thursday probably a little bit on Friday but we got to be able to practice hard on Wednesday Thursday I’m talking about practicing fast yeah yeah the game is going to be faster on game

Day because you adrenaline but if I can learn to practice fast then also the execution doesn’t become that big of a jump yeah and I can maybe rest you so the practice habits and what you how you prepare cuz you know when you guys are

Locked in oh yeah I I can by the way they practice hey there’s times you know who you can bench after that and you know what there there’s times I kick teams off I kicked our teams off the field on Friday because I just like love

The kick off the you know why coaches love you know what get out of here nothing a message though better than that you’re wasting your time and my time so you know what you just go I’m going to go and if you play pra play like that on Sunday like you practice

We’ll be embarrassed talking about this on Monday then you got the guys that are like no no coach we want to stay we want to stay we’ll run it ourselves I’m going tell you this listen I I knew who those guys were I go here’s the script here’s

Step in nicely TJ talking to him all day long today so what’s the update on that so he has a grade two MCL sprain that’s a couple week rest and recovery so I mean you never know two three weeks you know you get a couple wins you string

Something together you never know but the outside linebacker position they do have a couple guys that can fill in L congratulations to Mike Tomlin you know he kept his thing together three weeks ago how about that they’re they’re talking about the 2024 season and what are they going to do with the coaching

Staff what are you gonna do with Mike Mike Tomlin knows how to coach he knows how to coach he’s never had a losing season but you know what he will you put him in uh oh wait a minute pass Bill coward for second most by coach

He’s going to pass Chuck null too I don’t think he’s been anywhere for a long time so you know what though coach made playoffs how many times 10 times go what a franchise yeah you know what because you know what there’s stability there’s patience there’s an understanding and you know what it’s

About the process you know and and everyone in that building understands it you know there’s communication it’s not always going to agree people don’t always agree on what things they’re doing but you respect the opinions of other people and you know what you move on from it you have to concede sometimes

Coach in Cleveland in 1991 and he’s been a head coach for you know since 91 and what’s that 34 years whatever it is and you know um uh he’s he’s amazing and the thing I say about Bill belich is his consistency and respect for the game and

That’s the thing that he’s always had and I I always took away from him the humility he doesn’t like doing press conferences he hates doing press conferences but you know to him it’s about being about the game it’s about the next week it’s about the next opponent it’s about the game and where

The game’s at what’s in the best interest of the game and I learned that from him you know I sat there I said 2003 and WatchON win 12 straight games I man like the hockey win 12 straight games and just he lives in the now the

Also don’t want to do is I don’t want to talk like his career’s over because it’s not we all know he’s going to be coaching somewhere whether it is New England or not next year um but if it’s not New England I do look forward to the

Day where he gets his proper send off there and they do honor him right because a day like today just doesn’t feel like the right way for him to leave Stadium for the last time one of the good things I know you guys can talk about this league is the talented young

Guys who are in the league including that guy right there Jordan love yes carried the clipboard for a few years bill but that was okay look at what he has done hey he finished to season third most in touchdown tosses so this young man is getting done after the game it

Was our Tracy wolson who caught up with Jordan love congratulations what a game by you but in your first year as a starter to be able to lead this team to the playoffs can you describe what it’s been like this season and this moment when you secured it oh yeah I mean this

This is everything we’ve been working for the whole offseason you know coming in training camp this is everything we’ve been talking about been working for so obviously it was a lot of uh adversity throughout the season but uh the guys the whole team we stayed together kept fighting kept finding ways

To get better um and now we’re here going to the playoffs so that’s exactly what we work for you guys continue to improve all year what makes this team scary going into the playoffs I mean I feel like we just keep getting better and better um we haven’t reached our
