THIS is what SCRATCH GOLF looks like from the blue tees!! | The good, the bad and the ugly

In this video we show you what scratch golf looks like from the blue tees. The single biggest key is to avoid double bogeys and blow up holes. We keep this round together on a wing and a prayer.

Breaking 70 in golf is a milestone that all golfers aspire to. Shooting in the 70s generally means you are making more pars than bogeys and you’ve truly crossed the threshold from fairly good golfer to a good golfer. While it doesn’t make you even close to being a pro it does make you well above average.

Here’s a secret about golf they don’t tell you when you are young. You really don’t need to hit the ball that far to succeed. It’s more important to hit it straight and consistent. A good short game helps too.

In this golf video we keep a poor round together by saving strokes where we can, staying mentally focused and staying patient.

Try and hit a soft fade out in the middle of the Fairway somewhere okay 36 yds 58° in hand and just a touch shot stop oh no just launched it just trickle it down there trickle it down there trickle it down there oh man okay 166 seven iron aiming for the

Center of the green oh be the right Club this is straight downhill wow it’s not that fast 555 par five little bit of a Tailwind the bunkers are reachable teeing off the three-wood okay with this pin position probably about 330 left I’m just trying to hit it

Straight and get this about 230 have 100 yards or so left I crushed that one okay 75 yards I got to fly this 70 yards it’s a shot I practice all the time 58° in hand oh go go left Edge just outside the left Edge 394 just drip it and rip it straight

Away okay that’ll play 144 going to get a flyer just going to do a smooth nine water in front I’m going to aim uh halfway between the second palm tree on the left uh going left to right and the pin okay just got to commit to it stay with

It oh I came out of it again good Lord sit down okay tough chip uphill then downhill water long I got lucky with my lie here it’s a pretty good lie oh that is really really really nice 440 something 447 downwind hit it at the bunker let it come back hook baby hook

Okay 210 downwind going with the four hybrid kind of a faty four hybrid just get it up there near the green get up and down make the putt okay 164 slightly downwind I’m going to hit a flyer 8 iron directly at the pin let’s go come on boy that snagged fly baby fly

Fly awesome I love it okay so I’ve missed two short putts and actually topped a ball and I’m only too over par so I’m going to relax not get all bummed out and press onto the next hole maybe make a birdie coming in and shoot a 37

Let’s go 414 into the the wind dog leg left I am going to favor the right side here grip it and rip it oh that’s too far right no no 191 ball is sitting way down in the rough I’m going to hit a choked up

Four hybrid and just hope I can get it over these bunkers up here and let it roll about another 30 yards this is a nasty lie and a nasty n y situation yeah that’s about as good as I’m going to do right there one hop stop nope all right this putt is all

Downhill and breaks about 3 ft all of it almost at the end oh that is so good it’s a hard shot to get lined up on 199 into a little bit of a headwind chicken way out to the [Applause] right should be a part of okay should break right to left

Uphill downhill and then at the very end a little uphill uh right to left and then a little left to right oh I scruffed it I might get away with it I might get away with it I did 579 par five to bring it home grip it rip it

Oh that is going to be nice wow is that nice 336 to the pin I’m aiming at that Center Palm Tree straight ahead right over the rake and the right edge of that bunker right there 124 maybe two knots of wind behind us I’m doing a punch pitching wedge

Or a flighted pitching wedge I guess you could say be the right Club be the right Club yes sir okay guys this is for a 38 with two missed short putts in a top let’s see if I can just keep it together on this nine hole yes sir thanks for sticking with me
