23re is applying the pressure straight away a response needed another to leave the ball things are going to happen quickly in this game neither player fafs around 20 for Tops for the first Leg let’s ller off pins tops the first leg of the final goes to the teen agent ller with a [Applause] settler the first Max and it goes to Luke humph not that either of them will really care until several days after this but it is a race between him to see

Who is most 180s in the tournament oh yeah a little 12 31 well Luke L is good but he can’t take out 286 do expect amazing things from both players 8 like I said things are going to happen really quick in this game the pace they throw at compliments each other and just

Their standard of play he’s going to be right up there with anything you’ve ever seen leg on a Shanghai finish had a look at this in leg one L com he misses again yeah but that was for a break this is for a [Applause] hold went for ball ball because the

First start just it the top wi and laid down four double five now that is a break of throw and he’s in control with the first set I think it’d be fair to say then that ller is not quite settled as yet just went through the previous

Two 39 for 32 there’s a 39 89 that was for the first set and again Dan time yeah I mean just this set well there’s a smoke there from Luke ller cuz he’s finally found in the Trel 20 but it’s too little too late isn’t

It yes it is Luke humph takes the first set and he’s by far the better player in the very early stages of the final even that’s not it’s not working for him right now he’s got to find it he’s got to find it very very soon because

The world number one he’s doing what he likes the world Grand Prix Champion Grand Slam players champion a chance to stop the rck bullseye round three l now relying on a Humphrey’s Miss Double two there is no miss it is another leg five on the spin for Co hand

L look at how businesslike it is it is 511 18s if the treble 20 isn’t working the treble 19 is there and it worked for him there and ller now attacking the humre throw yeah needs positives and these are POS positives that’s a massive negative for little how about another positive just

To cancel out that negative oh he’s just got next door into double five losing a few darts to the left tops 67 the switching at the speed in which these two can switch he loves double 15 idolizes that side of the board that part of the board anywhere near double

10 that is a set D missed for Luke humph and a break of throw for Luke ller and all of a okay to the bullseye here yeah 25 would left the finish the bullseye leaves a slightly better one yeah Luke L’s counting he’s right up there one he’s accurate is right up

There as well 142 which way is he going he’s going pretty old school he’ll stay there for double 11 oh he slute little in this [Applause] now he’s tungston time he’s arrived Luke humph has gone from being in total control of the early exchanges of this match to now being worried

Afraid I’ve gone for being in total control control are out of control and Afraid ah this is brilliant already it’s been said that Styles make matches and fights and whatever you but these two just cracking on with it double top and he hits back the roll from Luke

Ller tells you he’s finally arrived in this final it is Humphrey’s one little one they’re not robots even though sometimes we think they are some kind of automatons oh back upstairs to lead top [Applause] please 6 fabulous setup shot and his finishing has been very

Good and it remains very good six out of eight on the doubles for Luke ller who in the blink of an eye has gone from being on the brink of a two set deficit to potentially being two on up in set before win the World Grand Prix sorry 99 requ takes a big

Treble double top dou 10 loves this but doesn’t find it yeah 138 the board management there from Luke hum Is Not Great which is why he’s got to burn a dart a the third that could have clicked the flight on the way past but who cares he doesn’t that is a break of

Throw the legs they win they’re wining 12 dots or fewer if you’ve got the dots your opponent needs a nine do this might be one of them yeah and to break you you have to go out in 12 you have to like Luke hum’s did with Joe Cullen in the very last leg

It’s the reason he’s still in the game well andj miss to at 18 earlier in the [Applause] piece love that last start from humre to leave finish up doesn’t require the ball eye ller going to the ball first start which is a bold strategy L re6 was looking to lead

167 just want to keep it nice and straight okay 18 for the leg leg we have another last leg set needed minimum 101 points oh how about this how about this Luke humre is with an eigh Max it’s three legs running he’s looking to do to ller what he did

To him in the previous set and that does not a his c one man H to 180 and then liter has a bounce out 16 or treble Bullseye now for the set 5 wow this has got to go re 31 TR 17 it’s not going to go but he is

Going to leave himself handy very handy Luke humph who survived two set DS remember gets two of his own and he only needs one ller stole away that second set when humph would have felt it was his and then humph does the same thing right back at him

This is a brutal match of darts already he’s going to have to fight for every leg well he was looking for 45 for 24 that leaves 54 tops left he went that way because Luke humre is not on a finish he will be after these three he’s left it pretty handy as well

But this is for a break off throw double 10 and he’s been one of the biggest weapons in his Arsenal over the course of this campaign and a nod of the head from Luke the nuk CU he finds it re 9 double 15 two misses and humph after a strange

Choice of shot has left himself 136 but it could go couldn’t follow it 96 yeah it was an odd leave but he left it and he missed it he doesn’t miss this [Applause] again or does he double four no he does not telling himself to calm down as Luke

Humpr he knows he’s in a b the 144 again he has time and makes use of it very well 16 left again doing what he wants to do setting up how he wants to set up 14 15th 140 per leaves 56 it’s likely he won’t get a poke but he might oh that

Is just go bottom go did not go bottom tried to bulldo his way through three Miss starts at a double leaves him vulnerable and humph talked about him using the mark of Art in the previous leg there was no help there yeah when you have a

Fly like that the next one has a proclivity to go low well he got there in the end didn’t he but there was a bit of darting drama there that he did not want humre was one nil up in sets then ped back then two- one up in sets then pegged back

43 oh the last start there he lost it everything about his throw there just went South and look at the Venom with a last start that is just punishment of the highest order Luke ller looking to get himself in front in sets in the final for the

First time double 16 is found and Luke ller lead the world championship final by three sets to two this is a nightmare start to the leg for Luke humpr it’s how quick it happens we’ve only just started the leg and he’s on a double he’s on a tend James Madison to number

10 eight for the best leg of the final so [Applause] far can he find a way through eight score wonder if he attacked on the inside by Design because he’s better over on the other side of the board 41 I’ll give him the benefit of doubt he’s so good as Luke leaves

170 but he doesn’t get a poke at 170 Che leg L the thr first is another break of throw the leg score left 170 but let’s hope he doesn’t get a shot cuz it would have meant the nine went in it’s frustrated not to take a bigger

Trunk out of that wanted to be on a tendar of his own but ller has the [Applause] ball oh he nearly did didn’t he just [Applause] well he made up his mind late didn’t he he got to be more settled than that L wow we talked about having a plan about

Having Clarity of thought and he looked confused there Luke humph because the teenager is bamboozling him with Brilliance G and he should be shaking his head that was Paul from Luke comis and he knows it oh my word oh my word we’ve seen Gary Anderson against Phil Taylor lose all three oh he

Has he may be a relevant double eight he’s having a bit of a problem in that section of the board pressure on this double 10 now pressure on the double 5 75 for 42 [Applause] [Applause] lead he finds it last and Luke ller opens up a true set advantage in the world final still not too alarmed unless this is going to be massive abulous set [Applause] up needs to break humph needs to start breaking holding and then breaking again all

These sets with drammer in are no good for him blls up oh we got one the fish has been [Applause] landed resistance from humph the 170 finish little not 171 to leave eight that’s the plan and L com looks a completely different player from the one we saw 6 minutes ago no not

Even that it’s about a minute and a half ago what an H oh this is insane now what a set of darts I know we’re in the second league but come on enjoy yourselves double two he’s been mastered at this throughout the event then after us saved him some heartache

But this is for a break back he was Brave to stay on the treble 20 in the last visit he had one hanging on in there he’s going to have to make up for this mess and he might do double top oh my [Applause] word Luke ller looked like his chance

Had disappeared and in the blink of an eye he plucks It Out The Ether third consecutive break throw in this set single 18 for tops oh and he’s missed the big number yeah it’s not [Applause] in just one of those sorry 31 will require

94 this for a hold to throw but it kind of feels a bit Breaky now to the 19s and that leaves the ball he’s covered a bit of it but can he see it oh he could and he was not far away again it’s drama that Humphrey’s just kind of brought on for

Himself but it is a breaker throw and he’s in control of this set we know we’ve already spoken about it’s not a must-win set but it might feel like it to him look at this seriously didn’t like the last start not the perfect set up but it’s not very

Far away single to double ller staying on the 18s double seven Oh shot it’s a third T BL finish from the new that could be the one that could be the one that breaks the number one’s heart look at his face look at his face especially PATCO who’s looking to

Beat a man it’s not going to go this time the 170 for ller that would have been for a 52 so there’s still drama in this oh my a 15th a [Applause] 15th it brings us level with a record for the tournament it might be hugely important in this

Match stay there to new topped oh wow double two score 108 scored as Russ Bray just said double two for a 5-2 lead [Applause] it’s the first time we’ve seen him pause it’s the first time we’ve seen him have to figure something out yeah wow what a set of darts and what an

Important passage of play vividly in the 2013 final where Michael vanan had a dble 18 to go 5-2 up on Phil Taylor it went 4-3 and Phil ended up winning that final wonder if this will be a similar case that is a record number of 180s for a

World championship Luke Humphrey 16th in this match takes us to 9:02 can when you’re four to up and being pulled back down you can feel like that you’re not in front and sometimes you have to kind of remind yourself hold on now this took a huge effort from my opponent to get even

Level and he’s left 170 again that’s not gone 59 L 41 double 16 to break and take charge of this eighth set 11 da I’m not even sure how to describe the look on Luke L’s face there disgust yeah 121 with required 12av 17 and the ball

96 L requir 74 disappointment for the 16-year-old oh 6 three now 13 or treble Bullseye for the set 49 all felt a bit rushed all felt a bit disjointed that 25 who can tidy up the m l l with very little F gets his first

Leg of the set not only that it’s a break a throw and we’ve been in this position before in this game if he can send this set into a fifth leg he’ll be Chu it keeps it tight in this leg but effectively humph is stolen the darts

And only a ton he didn’t like that did he I think he might have been thinking about bringing the bullseye into play an extra five points makes this next shot easy a lot easier get two chances at one treble but that does leave the ball and

That is the Bull’s Eye pinned and Luke humph levels this game up it is four sets a piece throw was a 140 so looking for 171 to leave 32 cannot get it this is to requ get another positive on the board get in front in a set tops

44 require 108 hum may get a dart himself he should get a dart from here double 16 to break luk countries leads the final and a businesslike stride back to the oy takes away the little the little relaxers that come with it 96 back on that 108 Again Luke

Hum lit’s turn to pressu eyes which he does spectacularly perfect set up shot is it going to be D Jau 571 1932 he couldn’t could he oh that that was smart for a while that what a finish if ller can pop this A 99 to make it three sets on the spin over to double four gives himself a moment double two once again he’s round the board missing doubles and Luke humph misses three set DS incredible double 10 that is how you get punished he will feel that that’s

Justify because the 108 was nicked it was a nick of a leg wasn’t it well that was a Nick right back 39 all Luke humpr can do is leave a double and hope that Luke liter doesn’t take out a 170 that’s what this is turned into you’re now hoping someone

Doesn’t take out the biggest finish of all oh my word another click of the dart and it denies him a chance at the ballseye Luke humph in a hugely important leg is on a tend D unbelievable the switch to double n it’s found Luke humph makes it three consecutive

Sets unbelievable play Under Pressure from the pair of them in that leg a that’s a bit of class there from Luke ller back to Peter right beting Michael Smith in the final and it was that sort of burst for a couple of sets right at

The end that got him over the line in a very tight game not unlike this one it has to be set yeah there was no wil in Michael Smith there he just got outplayed at the back end 44 L re7 doesn’t need to take it but he’ll want to and he

Does Luke the nuke with another 170 for the tournament they both hit him in the [Applause] final [Applause] wow there’s been an inexorable rise for Luke humph over the last few years 2021 won a year of finals 2022 load of titles 2023 the year those titles turned into

Majors and 2024 could start with him getting his hands on the biggest of the lot and this is for a 10 D [Applause] leg 36 surely maybe not yes surely that is the 10th set and he knows he has problems little up and luk humpr is one set

Away yeah Luke humre is basically average 104 since really the second [Applause] set Little’s got some pretty big guns of his own though 180 number 12 58 L require 46 11 D leg and this will make him feel good 14 again just bringing on that little bit of angst when there was none cuz now this has got to go big moments for him a course he’s up to it why wouldn’t

He be every time you doubt him I didn’t so near to the Finishing [Applause] Line another one just see to have slowed to me this little slowing down of [Applause] pace that puts the cat amongst the [Applause] pigeons this time he has a plan 16 for Tops no waiting no messing and Luke

Humph is 51 points away liter has the throw can he Force an opportunity he might be able to it’s another Max for [Applause] coand the Venom in these darts from Luke ller unfortunately couldn’t follow Dart one with dart two or three this one 67 may have to

Go what a situation to be in he couldn’t could he no he couldn’t and this is a chance to become world champion requ 125 he’ll start on the bullseye 25 in ball oh no Luke humph was too good too good we know he’s too good and that just proves

It for the set for 65 double seven for 65 14 blue comies returns for dble eight to claim the world title the Ascension is complete Luke humph is the greatest darting force on the planet right now the world number one for the first time is world champion incredible stuff to come from

  1. Used to watch darts back in the 80s and how times change. Funny to watch them drinking water now instead of beer. Great match and well deserved win, Cool Hand.

  2. I feel a bit for Humphreys as he's definitely not getting the credit he deserves — that's the British MSM for you.

Incidentally, talking about the British MSM, here's what I guarantee they are going to do: they will big up Littler to the point he's an absolute superstar. Once they have done that, they will then do everything they can to destroy that lad, and they'll make sure his family are collateral damage, too.

  3. I'm not much of a darts guy, I just came here to watch this because it's Russ Bray's last match. 🙂 Pretty darn good darts all around though!

  4. Can the media please go back to ignoring this bar ‘sport’ and overhyping this 16 year old, it’s a hobby designed to slow down your alcoholism and the ‘athletes’ all look the same, fat and dumb.

  5. What a joke of a "sport" it can t be called a sport because many of players are overweight and they can t been called sportsmans

  6. An exciting and rowdy atmosphere for sure, yet the scoring and strategies on display are utterly incomprensible to me, who last tried darts in the 1960s as a kid, when my goal was simply to hit bulls-eyes. 🎯 Speaking of kids, Littler is by far the oldest-looking 16 y.o. I have ever seen in my life. 😮

  7. Great shooting by Humphries.. but imagine the journey to the top & when you're in the finals.. you're versing a 16 year old & everyone wants to see him win over you LoL kind of takes the moment away a bit
