There for like 5 hours at this point he’s in rough shape super fun stadium was electric um so I sat with Kenny we had really good seats and honestly like highlight of the whole game might have been Nick chub coming out yeah before the game set the tone smashing the

Guitar putting the Batman mask on loved it super awesome um awesome game though um offense was insanely good was ridiculous I just want to say real quick Maxi said Blake might been right stefansky is a good coach guys I don’t mean to Barett brag but if you watch the show pretty consistently

There’s a theme here I’m typically right until it comes to Derek car and the Raiders you got it you got it I also wanted to shout out um Kenny and I met uh Giovani Giovani and uh giovan Giovanni hit us up on social both ours I’m pretty sure he might be watching

The kickers right if you’re going into a game you got a kicker two days ago you got your punter the day before or it was two two days ago as well you’re kind of leery because this in our head right was a field position battle well if you

Don’t have a good kicker you don’t have a good punter you’re not feeling too good but there was still enough confidence and people were happy to be at the game and the position we were in to be in the playoffs but you could tell everyone’s just a slight bit subdued and

I think when we got the first touchdown it started rocking now you hit it the nail in the head when when uh Nick chub came out man people were crying but there was like happy tears they were getting after it I swear to God there

Was flies around my eye I got a couple in my eye too and I was like oh I hope I’m not on TV who’s cutting onions out here yeah yeah yeah exactly but yeah that got that got that emotion up you could tell it got the players as well

You know and I I think what really got like kind of set the tone for the rest of the day is that pick six you know and it was it bodied everything that the Browns were undrafted rookie free agent that they developed through the year hit

Pay Dirt somehow you know and they got he got the points on the board well was an adversity thing too just like all year because we had just gotten the ball down there did not score any points gave them the ball right back and immediately

He picks it off and takes it in for six it’s like wow yeah I was so bummed that we didn’t get any points on that yeah turnover and there it is play out it anyways Andrew said the player entrance was electric and uh oh absolutely when they announced the defensive

Starters miles obviously the last one I couldn’t even hear the guy say his name no wow don’t I like couldn’t hear it at all it was awesome all I could hear was just that stadium was going crazy just from a fan like a TV perspective uh from

The pregame broadcast first of all they showed the Browns getting ready to come out in the tunnel lights are off but they got the flag with like the uh the staff on it orange and they got the boom box and and Greg Newsome just has like

So much swag and then they panned out and they showed the stadium and they had the lights off but you guys all had your phone lights going and I was just like that that it’s that looks like heaven like that’s what I imagine Heaven is is

Uh definitely gave chills yes it was I was like my God this is so awesome uh doing for the gyms just the fact that Jim Donovan had to call a playoff clinching win last time and like no stands no nobody was there yeah you know

I mean I think even said in the call the only thing missing is all of you Bishop said this on Twitter and then he got to call a game in Cleveland with that crowd for us to clinch a playoff spot a week early you can’t you can’t write this any

Better like it’s you can never say the NFL is rigged because nobody could possibly come up with this story it’s impossible unless it was scripted I do want to say a couple things uh well I still have just slight slight voice voice and then I probably

Won’t say anything the rest of the show um but that crowd props to you guys cuz the players ask for a white out they asked for an electric crowd to you know get behind them and set the tone for the night uh you know they understood the assignment

I we were talking about I saw maybe four Jets fans the entire night there were Browns fans showed up heavy it was a sellout crowd there was more Steelers fans there it was Unreal yeah it um electric environment um I kind of talked to these

Guys about it I went up in 2020 and got to see them clinch against the Steelers and I didn’t think that I’d ever see like a more like passionate like excited group of fans even though there was only like 12,000 people there just people were crying and like freaking out this

Was like a little bit more subdued and I I don’t know if it’s just because we’re starting to kind of believe that like this isn’t just a oneoff like this this franchise is going places this is this is not like just a oneandone and I think we’re kind of setting the tone

Like there’s something being built here and this is a real deal team like my my biggest takeaway um from last night I guess not the biggest one but one of the first thing I I thought of was the Browns are a legitimate franchise yes now like for three fource of my life we

Have been a dumpster fire and I’m not dumb I’m not too afraid to admit that like if you’ve paid any attention we’ve lived it we’ve lived it we’ve been a dumpster fire but since the Drafting and it and it goes all the way back to Baker

Mayfield like and I I’m hard on Baker as much as anybody but drafting Baker Mayfield bringing in a Jarvis Landry and a miles Garrett and a Nick chub and these dudes set the foundation and not everybody’s still here Jarvis isn’t here anymore uh some people want to know if

We think we should bring them back we’re going to get into that uh remind us in the chat um Baker’s not here anymore but it can’t be undervalued like what kind of stability and a little bit of attitude and just like the fact that like he

Made like he liked Cleveland at least at first you know and uh being in Cleveland was seen as a positive thing with Baker Mayfield and like that’s the culture change and then you bring in Andrew Barry and Kevin stefansky and their Smart Guys and they start building a

Culture like there’s no way you can look at the Browns franchise anymore and consider consider them a dumpster fire they’re just not you’re not a dumpster fire if you make the playoffs two out two out of four years and in the two years you didn’t make it you had an

Injured Baker Mayfield and a backup jacobe brassette for 11 games like that you’re just you’re not teams teams go from first to last and last of first all the time there’s so much parody in the NFL but two out of four years making the playoffs winning 10 now 11 games like

We’re and I think the front office and the coach we’re going to have a two-time coach of the year out out of the last four years yeah like uh the the league just the the way the league is going to look at the Browns after this season is

Completely different than any way that they’ve ever been looked at in our entire lives we’re finally building a culture a consistency like guys like DeAnthony Bell are undrafted free agents two years in a row on this team now we used not be able to keep draft picks two

Years in a row you know what I mean and but then DeAnthony Bell’s undrafted and he starts last year only special teams and then this year he’s special teams and he’s getting sprinkled in on defense and now we’re ask asking this guy to go out and start at safety and he’s a key

Contributor it’s because we we’ve grown him and we’ve uh and we’ve like nurtured his growth as a player and we’ve developed him and now he’s all bought into Cleveland he flourished you know what I mean like and we got buying from everybody top to bottom whenever they

Hired stefansky the and Andrew Barry the biggest thing everybody kept saying was like alignment they wanted top to bottom alignment everybody to have like one one goal same mindset One Direction there wasn’t a coaching staff that wanted this guy and a GM that wanted this guy and an

Owner that wanted this guy like they wanted cohesion and you’re seeing the effects of that take place uh I think you have to credit Jim Haslam and dlam like they were new owners when they first bought the team and they made a ton of mistakes oh yes a ton of mistakes

But the dude also was willing to admit when he made mistakes and he was willing to Pony up the cash to pay for him and and I feel like he has stayed out of football stuff much more like he hired deep podesta in Barry and stefansky and

Finally he’s like these guys are smart I’m going to let these guys do the job I hire them to do and I’m going to not pressure them and you know it’s got to be a one-year turnaround or they’re fired and stuff like that I mean look at

Like how can Carolina get anything done you know what I mean back toback years F they got a long road ahead you know what I mean so like we’re not like that anymore San and Barry are going to be here a long time yes I mean Kevin being

The first Browns head coach to take the team to multiple playoff appearances since Marty Schottenheimer in 88 yeah that’s a long freaking time and I love what you were saying about the franchise and you know as a fan base like you always love the team like growing up

I’ve been a Browns fan my whole life like you just you always love the Browns you root for the Browns but you’re not always proud of the Browns you know I I’ve experienced that we’ve all experiened that our whole lives just not always proud to be like oh yeah Ro for

The Browns whenever somebody asks is and it’s changing is there not a more a deserving fan base I feel like my life I’ve always had to defend my fanhood to the Browns I’ve had so many people in my life tell me why do you root for them

You know what I mean why haven’t you tried why haven’t you changed your mind why haven’t you went to a different team it comes down to the love of Cleveland really and Cleveland sports in general but I I think that it’s it’s very just exciting just to see this is what we’ve

Waited for obviously there’s been a couple Seasons sprinkled in 2020 and uh 2002 but there hasn’t been a lot of it so just to experience this season and just all the adversity and injuries there’s not a more deserving fan base for this to happen too and maybe let’s

Just see what happens maybe we’re just getting started and hopefully we’re just getting started yeah the fan H dang hot dang dang the fans are just starting to believe too because uh when you see the Browns and the stability you can see the Player Development and it’s something we

Never went through because they’re like driving up here just listening to the radio what are we do we um they bought the team I think they basically kept Shermer for what half a year he got fired then we had chinski one year fired you know for some reason Hugh Jackson

Was the longest 10e coach under the hlam regime I think they started to realize you can’t just keep firing coaches but then they picked the wrong one know ex that thought process with and then Freddy Kens like it was a miracle that won you know wins and the one year

And now we have these you know all these guys were in the mentality like when uh stefansky lost um or had a losing season after his uh coach of the year we got to get rid of him we got to start over again because everybody’s in that

Mentality as a fan as a fan base but what you saw is he laid the foundation down and holy smokes guys where did they go for training camp again the Brier yeah sign them up again please you know because this is working but you can see like the Brotherhood with the players

And it makes a huge difference the fact that they got guys picking up each other after every play and all that kind of stuff right and that’s that’s like you said permeating through and they have a culture now where we were the culture of restarting that’s a great point because

You think about it a lot of the guys that are making huge impacts right now on the team Joe flacko Kareem hunt these these guys weren’t with the team back then but it was the culture that the team built then has just like you said it’s come through the entire season and

It just spills over these new guys coming off the street instantly they they’re like yeah I’m bought into this yep because this is this is pretty legit uh do we got do we want to dive into some voicemails before we we get too far into this sure we can do that

Sometimes but he’s he loves the he follows the Browns very closely and uh he texted me last night after uh like halfway through the second quarter he’s just like why not the Browns man and I was just like I was just thinking it why this was the reason I was I was nervous

Going into this game especially when I found out we didn’t have aari Cooper cuz I was like is the this is going to be the toughest defense the offense has gone against since the Ravens game uh we’ve played a bunch of defenses lately that aren’t great they might have

Strengths like rushing the passer they’re good against the run but in terms of total defense they haven’t been like what the Jets have been um and so I was nervous and then we come out and we just up until Elijah Moore gets hurt we I mean we literally took him behind the

Woodshed it looked like it looked like a high school team playing a JV team almost and I was just like we look like the team that nobody wants to play AG there there is no your fan base might say you want to play us but in that

Locker room and in that coaching staff you’re watching this Browns team and you’re going that that’s not the team we want to play week one the playoffs cuz even even if we pull one out on them they’re going to beat the [ __ ] out of us

And uh it’s just why not us you know what I mean like we we might have to play some meaning fo ball meaningful football next week but there’s a good chance we’re not going to have to and we’re going to be able to rest if if the

Ravens win Sunday I’m I would find a Cleveland Glenville and I would send them in our place that’s a local high school team for anybody who’s not from around here good yes uh Ted gin Jr went there I believe his dad’s like a legendary coach there um I would send

Them in our place because I’m not I’m not getting any I’m giving this team a much needed almost three week break first of all to an NFL player can you after three weeks they’re going to feel like it’s a brand new season almost they’re going to be so refreshed heading

Into that first round of the playoffs I’m not worried about rust I’m way more concerned about health because we had that week five by they need they need a chance to get their their bodies right um I’m not mad at the idea of Miles Garrett Amari Cooper hopefully Elijah

Moore if he’s okay uh Walker would be huge back on defense Grant Del pit these guys getting almost three weeks zarius he’s come up limping the last couple games at the end sometimes at the end I feel like he’s just doing it cuz he just

Wants to get out the game cuz every time he then he just jogs off the Laughing um he was high five in the whole dog p well that that was like 30 seconds ago but yeah just like why not us nobody wants to play us right now you you just you

Can’t say uh you want to play us right now there’s just bill I think the three best teams in the AFC right now are us the bills and the uh the Ravens the Dolphins I think have a ton of talent but they’ve beat one team that’s over

500 this year and it was Dallas and guess what Dallas doesn’t do they also don’t beat teams over 500 especially on the road so if now if Miami rolls into Baltimore and beats Baltimore in Baltimore this week I’m going to throw him in that category of a team like cuz

Obviously Tyreek Hill and if Wadd come like they got freaking explosive players everywhere I’m not discrediting their talent but just the the two other teams right now to me that are the biggest threat are the Ravens and the bills and that’s if the bills even get in I and

The bills are kind of inconsistent yeah down you think that they’re up and then maybe they’re not a Chargers and I know they’re just is playing for their new coach I mean if if if we if we go into if Jacksonville holds on you you mean to

Tell me you don’t think the Browns would be you wouldn’t feel good about going into Jacksonville I know I would oh yeah and then if we play the divisional round in Kansas City you don’t I would feel very good about that matchup for us and Kansas City’s struggling right now yes that’s

What I’m saying like I just I just think we we can get to the AFC Championship and then from there it’s all bets are off anything can happen but man AFC Championship game with with what we’ve dealt with I couldn’t be more proud of the team of the Browns organization like

Guys like en joku just I freaking love David en joku oh my gosh yeah I got I got one thing to say about uh Ford he was breaking tackles yesterday and he was getting after it he actually I found you know he’s going to dance around a

Little bit uh but I found like he committed to the hole where he was supposed to go and he actually like had some movement like he he cut it up a bit and he always shows every single game that he is at least a danger in the

Passing game and he went somewhere where Flaco could find him got a 50 yard run broke tackles numerous times and got in the end zone and we needed that that was like the back breaker and he just slowly just ascending every slow if he can just

Keep doing that you know we know he’s going to sometimes get those one yard losses but it was more often than not that was going ahead this time yes he uh I was looking he averaged 5.3 yards a carry which is like five yards more carry than he did the last couple weeks

Just to tea up on what he said about that touchdown catch too that couldn’t have come at like a more pivotal point we literally just watched Elijah Moore like have this weird kind of we don’t know if it’s a serious injury obviously walks off but at the time like in the

Game like they killed it on the screen and we were like that didn’t look good at all yeah stay in the hospital last night they said he went home this morning but um literally the next play was that and it was such a literally flacko gets hit in the head you know

Yeah got arm right in the he eludes gets out and then man Ford he did a lot there that was that was one of the coolest craziest plays I’ve seen in a long time I mean I feel like there’s one a game like that like that keep happening in these Browns

Games but man that that was electric it was good to see cuz we’ve been very critical I mean and rightfully so he’s not been efficient he’s not been very productive the last handful of games there really hasn’t been much to write home about for drone for he hasn’t had

The big play he hasn’t done much of anything now our Run game in general is bad we we’ve been saying that forever too but to see what he was doing last night like you’re saying just finally just get up fi just get up fi because whenever he gets up field whenever he

Gets through the hole this is what he’s capable of too often he’s just dancing laterally side to side to side and it’s like you’re never going to get anywhere doing that but when he commits and goes you see what what can happen he’s got open field like speed he’s got top end

Speed if he can get to the open field the problem is it’s like hey man to get to the open field it’s quicker if you just go this way instead of like you know what I mean it’s quicker to get there if you go there yes yeah uh and

Forward to just a last note on him um the Browns need to run the ball to beat this team and he did it yes that was a great thing he we wasn’t one of those games where it’s like we know we can run the ball and you know it’s one of those

Games we can’t run can’t get anything done he just did it man that guy bowled out and I’ve been critical of the dude I want to say you’re awesome Jerome Ford the offense the offense was so it was clicking on every cylinder in the first half once Elijah Moore went out it was

Against I would just like to say for the record real quick if we see the Buccaneers or the Lions I think we beat their their asses both of them I was thinking the same thing I would take if that’s if that’s it book the flight the

We appreciate the uh voicemail uh let’s take maybe five 10 minutes here what how did you guys feel about the defense last night because maybe I’m spoiled maybe my expectations were too high we only gave up 10 points we had a pick six so like on paper you’re like outstanding

Defensive performance but I just I I guess I expected this to be like a Titans type game where or a Cardinals game where they’re lucky to even get off a pass I thought the crowd was going to just be so loud and the energy was going

To be so high that they they just going to be catch the snap and just Chuck it and hope you can and hope nobody dies I I think it’s both I think that we are spoiled we have been spoiled by our defense and I think our expectations are

So high that we were also disappointed by the defense last night because I mean Bree Hall we Browns couldn’t stop him I mean if this had been a close game if they had any competent quarterback play whatsoever and I’m still surprised that Trevor Simeon was able to have as much

Passing yardage as he did I thought he doubled his average yeah I thought for sure I thought for sure 150 tops like against this Browns defense we’re going to smother that but I think that Bree Hall’s ability on the ground and him just making huge chunk yardage out of

Nothing almost every play kind of opened up that passing game for the Jets and for Simon so it was it was tough but you know at the end of the day the defense definitely held their own and they did what they needed to do and got us to the

Playoffs held him to held him to it was or 13 points right because we had the the pick six so held him to 13 points um they ran 10 more plays than we did they had 360 they had 360 yards offense and I I honestly thought this was going to be

I thought they were going to struggle to get to 100 yards offense I thought it was going to be Bengals week one Titans Cardinals where I thought it was going to be bears from a couple years ago where Justin field had negative net yards passing um so like you said we we

Are spoiled a little bit I think we were so aggressive and Bree Hall is a special back that he took advantage of our aggressiveness in that ground game a lot of his runs were cut back thinks didn’t very in their Rush Lan they were just soive to theball that Bree Hall was able

To take advantage of that I also don’t think some guys were getting great footing last night a lot of slipping um so I think that that that didn’t help but I I thought Trevor Simeon was going to look like a deer in the headlights and and I’m not saying he looked great

You know he threw a pick six uh 32 of 45 for 261 but I think if you would have told Trevor Simeon I’m going go for 261 and a touchdown against his defense he’d say I played pretty well and I just didn’t expect him to be able to leave

Saying that and he got some chunk passes late when you know what I mean but they just overall offensively looked better than I was expecting them to and again we sound spoiled I get this I’m not saying the defense is bad we’re just maybe my my bar is just so high with the

Tackles are going like they should be pushing that pocket up and whenever they do man we have monster games monster sack games um and did you guys find we were getting like burned a little bit on crossers yeah yeah like all the time so like I know our guys are fast so what’s

Going on there well that’s not that’s I mean Garrett Wilson’s good yes he’s a gooder you know what I mean like they they have a couple dudes on offense and again so maybe I my expectations were just through the roof um I I really fed into like the crowd being a huge factor

And just the atmosphere and what I’d seen us do to more accomplished teams I’m not saying the Cardinals and the Titans are better offenses but I would say that um they’re better than what the Jets offense has been they’re historically one of the worst offenses

Ever you know what I mean so I thought historically one of the worst offenses against historically one of the best defenses on a Thursday night on national TV with this crowd I was like there’s just they’re going to be lucky to get snaps off that’s the way I kind of saw
