Second down and 10 there’s St brown head of steam touchdown play action Endzone there it is what else could touching by number 68 flag at the end of it and now a flag on Parsons this one’s picked but Parsons came across defense number 11 through D the neutal on of the

St Goff gets rid of it incomplete okay so this was a wacky ending that was embroiled in a ton of controversy late in the fourth quarter when Dan Campbell decided to go for the two-point conversion not once not twice but on three separate occasions the first one Lino linman Taylor Decker was

Flagged for an illegal touching the second was called for an offside on Micah Parsons and the third the receiver dropped the pass from Jared goof but probably didn’t matter because he was most likely going to be stopped just short of the goal line so with that said

A ton of drama was spoiling after the game that spilled into the postgame interview with Dan Campbell Jared gof and Taylor Decker so have a listen to what they had to say about what happened leading up to that first two-point conversion attempt but first i’m going

To play you the clip of what exactly occurred right before that play you could see Goff is telling number 68 Taylor Decker to report as eligible to the referee you see him here point to the ref Direction and off he goes then this next clip from an aerial view you

Can literally watch Decker in number 58 and a trailing panai Su whose number 70 all confront the ref and as Decker makes his way to the referee he appears to be making a hand gesture to his chest or stomach area to report to the referee we

Knew it was going to come down to the wire and uh thought our defense played really well today you know minus one play uh that that uh was in our hands you know we did but we were there to make a play we didn’t and uh but other

Than that I thought we did some really really good things got off the field got to takeway offense 141 on the clock no timeouts linked in the field score and uh go for two we get it and we get an L so it’s probably the way the guys fought

Um we just made too many critical errors there um to where it shouldn’t have come down there at the end look credit to them they played hard you know we knew they would they’d give us their best shot and uh they play well at home they

Did again and uh we’ll see them in a couple of weeks be good 70 reported rep yeah the explanation was 70 reported yes and did they need to announce that if if both um players report two people can’t report I don’t want to talk about about it all right I explain everything

Pregame to a t okay I did that 70 reported 58 didn’t or 68 didn’t we threw it to 68 that was the explanation okay um can you just explain the you know the mentality to go for two there at the end obviously you wanted to

Keep the game in your hand and try to win it yeah I told the offense that we were we were going down 141 left we’re going to go down and score and then we’re going to go for two and finish this game out I told him that and so that’s what we were

Doing and um being backed up that didn’t change anything when you get backed up to theeven backed up where to the seven instead of the two from the two-point play did you think it all we were going for the win What were what was your conversations with the officials are

Trying to say something when uh pretty confused um what I do know and I don’t know if I’ll get fined for this but I do know that Decker reported I do know that Dan Skipper did not and I do know that they said that Dan Skipper did so it’s

Unfortunate can you explain I think people maybe don’t realize this I don’t know if you’re part of these conversations or not but you explain the the trick plays that may come up to officials before the game can you just explain what goes on or that that’s yeah

That’s you ask Dan about that I’ve got no idea see on the video looks like telling go yep and he did tell me anything after the play um I mean all I really want to say on it just so I don’t get myself into trouble is I

Mean I did exactly what coach told me to do and um went to the ref said report and uh yeah I don’t know and you know was my understanding too that you know Dan brings up the possibility of those sorts of plays pregame

So um I did did what I was told to do did how we did in practice all week and uh I mean that’s probably all I’m really going to touch on with that it looked like Jared did tell you to go over there and you were all over

There just yeah I mean there’s not much more I can add to it I mean there’s see the video of it okay so that was the reaction from the Detroit liance and I think they have a right to be livid it was clear that Taylor Decker reported to the referee

That he was eligible so to lose the game in this fashion is pretty brutal to be honest according to postgame reports the referee had thought number 70 panu had reported a not Taylor Decker here’s a transcript between referee Brad Allen and Calvin Watkins after the game so

Watkins asked why was there a penalty called on that two-point conversion for an illegal touch to which Allan responded so we had a situation if you were going to be an ineligible number occupy an eligible position you have to report that to the referee on this particular play number 70 who had

Reported during the game a couple of times reported to me as eligible then he lined up up at the tackle position so he actually didn’t have to report at all number 68 who ended up going downfield and touching the pass did not report therefore he’s an ineligible touching a

Pass that goes beyond the line which makes it a foul so the issue is number 70 did report number 68 did not Watkins then challenged the ref and asked there was a player that went to you before the play it was Decker and he was talking to

You two linemen talking to you and then you went to the Cowboys defensive line to speak with them what was that conversation about and Brad Allen replied that conversation is where number 70 reports to me and then I go to the defensive team and I say to them

Number 70 has reported as an eligible receiver so they will be aware who has reported and I return to my position that was a conversation with the defensive line honestly I don’t know what to think there’s literally video evidence showing otherwise and I think the referee clearly fumbled this one and

May have gotten the two players mixed up or he’s just a terrible liar there was so much at stake in these games division crowns playoff implications and for all the calls the referees have made in recent weeks I don’t blame NFL conspiracy theorists if they think these games may

Be rigged and I’m not saying they are but these are a lot of coincidences and funny enough this one favors America’s team the Dallas Cowboys on top of that the lack of accountability from these referees is what pisses me off the most with the introduction of legalized

Sports betting I wonder how many people got effed over on their bets or parlays tonight just a terrible look and the league seriously needs to look into this anyways what do you guys think about the ending to this game Hazen I just finished watching the Cowboy game I’m wiped out she’s wiped

Out because you knew I was wiped out I hold up my arms but I tell you they’re pitted out I’m sweating I thought Detroit would win this game I didn’t think we were ready for Detroit and Detroit should have win this game there’s so much to love about

What happened there was so much not to love about what happened but we won and you saw the Firepower on both sides of the ball the defense played well enough that the that’s a Super Bowl defense my takeaway is we’re right where we need to be bring on San Francisco I’m ready

  1. I keep on hearing that, even if 68 reported the play wouldnt have counted due to a receiver lined up on the same side and on the line? Is this true ?????

  2. The game should have ended Dallas winning 20-13. The refs botched Hendershot tripping call. A Lion tried to trip Dallas running back, not Hendershot. Hendershot was mad as hell. It was a no call play. Cowboys would have simply run the clock out.

  3. The Refes need to be held more accountable for the bullshit calls they make. The Refes NEVER get fined or anything. But if a player or coach says anything about the refs they get fined!! The NFL is ALWAYS rigged and the commissioner needs to grow some balls and do his job better or fire him. How much does he get paid from the team to help throw games. I stopped watching football because it is turning into fake games!!!

  4. Even if the score was allowed there was still 40 seconds on the clock, plenty of time for cowboys to move within field goal range

  5. Favors the cowboys America s team!!?? Are you serious. Do you not recall Dez catching the pass vs the Pack then robbed. Stfu

  6. With MLB colluding to move my Oakland A’s with a ton of lies and misinformation I’ve recently been completely turned off to pro sports. This now doesn’t surprise me at all. The Tuck play that screwed the Raiders and started Brady’s career was another piece of crap.

  7. There's way to many bad or missed calls. I say start fining the refs. Make the NFL worth watching again. Right now it's as honest as WWE or bidens election win.

  8. Stop watching the NFL. Player interviews look like hostage videos. Eventually, the league will change or fail. Just ask MLB. (Pitch clock, bigger bases, defensive position enforcement, etc)
NFL always favors the higher revenue team. This is why teams keep moving to larger markets (SD to LA, OAK to LV, STL to LA, etc).
Owners know they have a better chance of winning a Bowl if they are in a larger market.
Another great American Institution ruined by greed. Want change? Hit 'em in the pockets.

  9. Lions, you guys fought your hearts out! Players shouldn’t be fined for speaking the truth. This was so wrong & it’s on the Ref’s! Stay strong Lions!!!!

  10. So, why were they both in the vicinity? It should have been clear, granted. But still, they both were near the ref, 70 had reported several times in the game and there could be confusion

  11. Professional football isn't a sport. The NFL is licensed under sports entertainment, just like professional wrestling. Let that sink in my 😂

  12. Possibly? That’s like saying “allegedly” when there is video proof. NFL is steadily becoming unwatchable. You get a more accurate result from the WWE than the NFL

  13. It's "entertainment," and only loosely could be called a sport. People want to bet on games to make it more exciting, but at the same time, betting opens up the greed factor that can lead to blatantly bad calls. The moral of the story is that fans should not let their emotions and their own persona get wrapped up the outcome of their chosen team. Take games with a grain of salt. It is not the end of the world to lose nor is it earth shaking to win.

  14. LYING, CHEATING BOUGHT-OFF REFS-UMPS HAVE BEEN IN SPORTS FOR A LONG TIME…BOXING, BASEBALL, FOOTBALL, BASKETBALL, HOCKEY, ETC: AND IT WILL NEVER CHANGE BECAUSE THERE HAS BEEN $$$ PAID TO SOME OF THE CROOKED ONES WHO WILL ACCEPT THE BROWN ENVELOPE IN THEIR LOCKER OR UNDER THE LUNCH TABLE. THIS WILL NEVER CHANGE. IT IS THE NATURE OF GREED AND MANIPULATING THE OUTCOME OF ANY SPORT… AT ANY TIME, IN ANY SPORT, IT IS LIABLE TO OCCUR.

  15. Personally, I don’t think it was rigged. Officials are human, just like the players and make mistakes. There were pass plays both teams ran that were unsuccessful because the QB or the receiver made a mistake. I think I’ve seen more incomplete passes this season due to the receiver running the wrong route or the QB throwing the ball to an empty spot on the field assuming the receiver would be running that route. Grated, the difference is those mistakes did not completely change the outcome of the game. It was a damn good game, it’s too bad it ended the way it did. I’m a lifelong Cowboys fan and would be lying if I said I wasn’t happy about the win, but even if the Lions won, both still have to win one and done games in the playoffs, time to move forward

  16. This is ABSOLUTELY CRAZY!! Number 70 ran on the field signaling he is eligible. The ref looks right at him and reports it to Cowboys. I have lost ALL respect for sports analysts!!! Where was the tripping??? What a fn joke!!!!!
