This is the pxg 0317 St and I kind of like It so the St is a much more bladed golf club and we’ve got something that looks a lot more like a blade we’ve got a thinner top Edge and generally a smaller profile head they look really good at a dress but we’ve got a little bit of a

Hidden Gem and forgiveness when we’ve got more weight on the toe and the heel of a golf club we hit the ball off center and the head twists and deflects we get less of that when there’s more on the outside of the golf club because there’s more mass stopping the head from

Twisting because we’ve got this plug drilled out of the middle of the golf club that means that we’ve got more weight on the heel and toe so these golf clubs are impressively forgiving three times forged is to do with the process of when they’re manufactured and that means that they’ve been manipulated

Three times to get them into their current form that can sometimes lead to the metal feeling softer and I have to say I’m pleasantly surprised by these golf clubs in general they feel good off the face they fly very nicely and for a bladed Club I am really impressed with their

Forgiveness I want to compare it today to The shrien Zed forged because this is shrien bladed version of a golf club we’ve got less meat on the bottom of the golf club compared to normal golf clubs we’ve got a bit more placement of weight in the middle of the head now that can

Be good for the golfer that strikes the ball in the middle of the club face more often and they do certain look more inviting for me to hit but when you hit it off center it might not quite be as helpful so I kind of want to get a feel

For a difference in ballf Flight difference in dispersion between these two golf clubs I’ve got them both in the same shaft we’ve got the modus 3 t 105 stiff and I’m using a titless Pro V1 oh a little bit Slappy off the toe the reason someone might choose a bladed

Golf club is because there’s less weight at the bottom of the club when we have weight at the base of the club it helps the ball launch higher and it reduces the spin which is generally good for someone that hits it off center more often as we’ve got the weight placed

Higher up the ball launches lower and it spins more in general from the head component of the build and of course we can manipulate that with different shafts we’re in a world where there’s lots of different shafts available with every brand but I do have to say that pxg does

Have less Choice than would like or less Choice than I have seen in other brands they’ve got the Elevate and the tour elevat as their stock shars and then all the other sharft so basically 30 extra per shaft if you want to go away from the norm but that’s not to say that

They’re a bad Club at all very nice buddy I’ve got a few shots flying to the right hand side these are more upright than I normally like I like them 2° flat I feel like I’m jumping out out of the shot because I’m scared of it going left although if I delete those

Three shots that I’ve hit that snuck out to the right the spin number doesn’t change that much but the carry does a little bit if I now go Zed forged I’ve got this in the same L angle as the pxg and I’ve also adjusted The Loft on this

So we’ve got exactly the same Loft so there shouldn’t be any difference in distance from The Loft element of this golf club and that feels just as nice to be fair ooh that was nice that’s carried further so we’ll see why in a second solid off the face again I’m

Getting my nice little bit of draw coming into the green nice so these do look a bit different at a dress the pxg on the right hand side is a bit squarer so there’s a bit more of a pointed toe we’ve got a bit more rounded on this

Left one here on the shrien that toe area I do kind of prefer the look of that so it depends what the numbers do as to what one I would choose solid just huging the left hand side that is my normal tendency but I don’t want to change my swing to correct it

Mid video I’m just pointing and shooting point and shoot oh we’ve got a Mist strike on the Z forged so see the Mist strike’s taking quite a bit of distance off and it’s caused me to land short of the green in a more bladed Club you do lose more on

And off center strike so I’m going to ignore that shot from the data pool so I’m going to do three more with each golf club and then see the data nice and the shcks in last two for luck Peak height wise we’re looking at 116 with the shrien against

113 with a pxg not really much to worry about and we’ve got pretty similar numbers to be fair we’re slightly faster on the Zed forged we’re slightly higher on the Zed forged we normally do get higher launch lower Spin and lower launch higher spin when we’re isolating

One component which in this case is the head we’ve got 186 against four variance two yards variance two yards nice and similar we’ve just got a slight tendency between the two so if you spin the ball too high then this would be a good choice if you spin the ball too low then

This would be a better choice just to Edge towards the ideal parameters of your flight now I’m quite liking this bit up here as well the dispersion is very similar they are very comparable golf clubs they both look pretty good we’ve got a map finish we’ve got a shiny

Finish and they both do a pretty good job in terms of ball data just which one would I really prefer the price of and the look of maybe there’s the variable sole here on the shrien that maybe just makes interaction with the turf a little bit easier in certain conditions or for

Certain swing Styles but they’re definitely worth a little hit either one and I hope that helps they’re both fantastic clubs the pxg surprising feels very surprisingly forgiving for what it is for such a small club we saw a Mis strike on the shrien where it did drop

Quite a bit in terms of distance so blades do cost when you miss strike a lot of tour players are using more cavity and using the shaft to get the flight window that they’re looking for as opposed to the head but everyone’s different Everyone likes different things don’t forget to like share and
