By a point and H just your garden variety Monday Night Football on Saturday right Joe Troy John Perry join us now and there’s a lot to get to here guys and and Troy I want to just sort of begin with you because this is clearly a play that Detroit would have practiced

They would have been prepared for what was required and you know what you’ve got to do so that everybody is is legal and eligible I’m just trying to figure out how that didn’t happen what’s your sense of that well I’m not so sure it didn’t happen I mean we’re trying to

Figure out exactly what the process was but initially the way that I saw it was that well maybe Dan Campbell and you know their special teams and every everything that’s involved didn’t quite understand that you have to report even if you’re in the game but then when you

Go back and you watch the tape Dan Dan Skipper comes in but Taylor Decker also walks over to the official and you only do that if you’re telling the official you’re reporting is an eligible and so I don’t know if if he just didn’t hear that or what they said that only Dan

Skipper reported but the evidence is is on the tape so it’s hard for you know initially I thought well maybe he didn’t report because he’s already in the game but hard to believe that he didn’t you heard illegal Touch by 68 did not report as eligible so it’s

Right there yet you look at the replay and you watch Taylor Decker walk up to Brad Allen and say something it would be odd for him to do that typically he’d be in the Huddle getting ready for the next play I don’t think Brad Allen ever recognize Decker I think he sees number

70 come off the bench and he follows him all the way into the line of scrimmage he knows he’s going to have an ineligible come in and play eligible I think Decker tries to get to him and say hey me too I I’m with the ineligibles on

This play my guess is based on where Brad is looking and the announcement there’s no acknowledgement well I you see that golf is trying to get Decker to go over and he and he does my guess is is that knowing how these things work Decker is trying to tell the official

But he’s not wanting to draw attention to himself at the same time and but he does walk over there so I think it’s more that the official doesn’t hear Decker report even though he says hey I’m an eligible he doesn’t hear it he comes up and then the penalty is thrown but

I I just there’s no like Joe said there’s no reason for Decker to go over to talk to the official unless he’s telling him he’s reporting we’ll wrap it up here and uh and hear from the winning quarterback here now Joe thank you very much John Troy uh Happy New Year that’s

The best that we could sort of make sense of It

  1. NFL should change that rule.
Count 4 or less in backfield and let the ends be eligible no matter number. That’s how smart defensive coordinators cover it because it gets screwed up so much.

  2. The nfl will never let teams like Detroit or Cleveland get to the superbowl. It’s all about the money.

  3. This is more off a rivalry thing because now I’m looking at the game deferentially I watch the eagles now and it’s like this game could be rigged

  4. Idc if skipper did report himself in the odd thing is that ref said the decker didn’t report too him when he did I really don’t think the nfl was going too let the lions win regardless except them last plays

  5. This is the thing that bothers me the most ,you have all the cameras and audio and mic up refs but they can’t show or find out what really happend in detail , they have the evidence but why won’t they show it , that’s what’s making me think there’s something going on

  6. ITS. BS. REFS SCREWED UP AS MANY TIMES THIS YEAR. BRAD ALLEN IS INCOMPETENT. HODELL IS A POLITICIAN. NEED NEW. NFL LEADER. HORRIBLE DISGRACE. TROY IS 100% right. So many Dallas no calls holding. Pass interference. Holding Hutch the whole game.

  7. With all the hoopla about Coach Jimmy Johnson getting that award, (Well deserved by the way) the Cowboys had to win no matter what!

  8. If a player reports as being eligible, isn't the referee supposed to turn on his microphone and announce it to the defense and fans in the stands. If Geoff should've called a timeout if he didn't hear the announcement.

  9. It's the same as every year since 1988, referees and umpires in the national football league will cheat every time they possibly can to make Dallas a winner and that is the only way that Dallas has ever become a winner is by cheating!! And they say the only crooks are in organized crime but the most despicable crooks referee in the NFL!!

  10. The question is what the ref told the defense because the refs have to relay the eligibility that the offense just gave them. Next, the lions got three tries at the two point conversion and failed 2 out 3 times. Once the defense understood who was eligible. OL eligible is not a sneak play, offense has to report who are eligible receivers, then refs annouce it. Lions should have gotten an unsportsmanlike penalty, for trying to trick the defense and the refs. That us why 70 came running in towards the refs like he was reporting eligibility.

  11. I am a Dallas fan. So obviously I loved watching Troy play. But you guys should actually look at the video that explains how Detroit messed up. It was clearly a penalty.

  12. Amazing how NFL games are strung out by almost an hour to review if a player's shoe was tied, but a bad game-deciding call is ignored.

  13. As I understand that all the Referee's have a meeting with the coach before the game.
And the Referee in question wasn't there !!!!!!!!

  14. Aikman said there is no reason for Decker to walk over to the official if not reporting but the Lions had two other lineman walk over to the official that are NOT reporting but just trying to confuse the Cowboys. Too cute by half by the Lions. Better luck next time.

  15. It has since been proven that the Refs were right. To report as eligible, the player must move his hands up and down his chest to get the Refs attention, and then verbally tell him. #70 did the hand motions and #68 did not. Hate the rule and not the refs enforcing it.

“It is the responsibility of the player to be sure that change in status is clearly communicated to the referee by both a physical signal, with his hands up and down in front of his chest, and to report to the referee his intention to report as an eligible receiver,” NFL senior vice president Walt Anderson said in the video.

  16. Just to let you know I only clicked on this video to pause it and to say Who cares what these two annoying, worse announcers in the NFL history have to say!

  17. I had hoped the nfl would not get into the Hollywood corruption, but now it's looks as though nfl has become an entertainment fix and sportsmanship is gone, oh well we still have one more chance of real sports nhl!!

  18. So if everyone is saying that 68 reported to the ref just because he went over there then did 58 report too? Why was 58 there with him? IT WAS ALL A SCAM TO CONFUSE THE DEFENCE BUT BACKFIRED BY CONFUSING THE REFS!!! Also if 68 reported then why didn't the Lions say or do something when only 70 was announced as an eligible receiver? Also watch the end of the play, Dallas had 2 guys near 68 but not cover close because he was not announced as eligible.

  19. Cowboys got a gift??? They got a gift from the officials with that phony tripping call. If they got that right ,game over Cowboys win. CD drops touchdown pass at the 1 yard line. We should be up 2 scores. That dumb rule has to be changed too. The ground can't cause a fumble if you are touched. The ground can cause a fumble if you are not touched. Give me a break. Blame the ground on both plays and spot the ball at the point where the player hit the ground. If the defense does not recover the fumble spot it where the player hit the ground. If the ball goes down field 15 yards and goes out of bound. Do not advance the ball period. Where the players goes down, no advance. Stupid rule period. Be consistent. Does the ground cause a fumble or not???

  20. 2014 game pass interference, and now this, are the two main arguments I have that the league is rigged. I wouldn’t even call them arguments, they are proof.

  21. Any doubt it's not rigged? If it's 9ers and Ravens, Ravens win on bad call…. it's rigged people, accept it. Stop watching if you wa t it to change.

  22. I have a solution. If you think games are rigged or paid off my Vegas. Stop watching football its sports entertainment just Like WWE Wrestling.

  23. 58 and 68 just walk up to the referee and properly ask him for the time on the clock.. 68 didnt hand signal the referee like 70 did… Its a no brainer.. let us no put words into 68 or 58 mouths .. they did not signal. The deception from the lions did not work.. enough with the conspiracy.. they need to investigate the lions coach and those three players plus the lions quarter back. They need to come clean. Its all on the video.. enough is enough..

  24. The lions screwed themselves. They chanced it and lost .. referees caught on too the lions desception.. 😂😂😂😂 it didnt work… Ridiculous..
