Scotty Sheffer Victor havin Xander shley Patrick kley Max H all are going to be teeing it up at the century that’s right golf is back 2024 and we are already here for the very first tournament the century preview im8 L from wager talk.com most of you that have followed

Us uh myself and Nick Borman on this channel Nick is out of town for a couple weeks so I’m just kind of doing this on my own then we’ll get back to our normal format but we’re going to go over everything for you we got total Strokes

Gained betting notes we’ll go over the course preview we’ll take a look at DraftKings Darlings and we’ll look at some players that can trip you up everything to get you ready for the centry and this is a little bit of a different tournament this year uh this

This year lot of changes on the PGA tour I hope it benefits us but the first thing you got to know about this tournament is this used to be just the winners from last year and now it is not it is the winners and everyone else from

The top 50 in the in the FedEx uh cup and it’s a larger field which I hope is going to make the tournament a little bit more exciting what you need to know about this course is if you if there’s no wind it’s just it’s a birdie Fest and

It could be a lot of fun it’s a beautiful course to watch very photogenic on TV but it doesn’t look like the wind is going to be that punishing this week so I think you’re looking at minus 25 maybe even up to minus 30 is going to be the winning

Score so what is this course require I it’s it’s all about putting on on this course now obviously you have to get the ball in close proximity to the pin but make no mistake like a hot putter is required you’re going to have to be lights out putting bombers I think

Have a an advantage on this course there’s a lot of holes where you know there’s down slopes that will you know help the ball roll but you need to be coming in with really really short approaches onto these greens some of the greens are very very big and just

Hitting the green isn’t going to be good enough you’re going to need a short enough approach to where you can get it close and you’re going to have to make a lot of these like six seven eight foot birdie putts that the course is going to

Give you it’s very very scorable and if you’re if you’re if you’re finishing this tournament at like 15 under you’re probably going to be way out of contention so it’s a it’s an incredible course um just from a a just from TV standpoint it’s just it’s in Hawaii it’s

Just absolutely gorgeous so the fivs you’re going to have to bomb away and you’re going to have to walk away with with lots of birdies um it’s a par 73 which is a little bit strange you’ve got some long par fours but they’re long by

Yardage a lot of them are just have a big downhill rolls I’ll get into the 18th hole here but when you look at this course um there’s there’s it’s an interesting course history because there’s only one golfer in this field who has finished inside the top 10 in

The last two years which is so strange but we’ve got some guys that are not on the PGA tour anymore you’ve got a lot you got a lot of guys that have never played this course including guys like Tommy Fleetwood and toell Hatton guys that haven’t won on the PJ tour so they

Uh so they haven’t yet played in this one so um it’s it’s going to be an interesting field and this is going to be one of many tournaments that are just going to be very very different so uh when we look at uh I I normally do uh on

Our normal show we have pictures of like some of my favorite holes there’s no flyover that I can find on YouTube of this course shame on you guys it’s such a beautiful course how do you not have a Hole by hole but um a couple holes that

I really like I love the first hole it’s 520 yards Par Four this is one you got to play it from right to left if you the the left has this you know really really big downhill if if you miss the ball out to the right you you could absolutely

Start off your your tournament with a bogey and that’s just bad news like you can actually stress yourself out on this hole so it gets easier after this but I believe believe this is probably going to be one of the tougher holes on the course so you got to hit that drive you

Can’t leave it out to the right um so I do love that hole P the hole five it’s a 530 yard par five I love quirky weird things on holes and I love this this is like a really easy par five so they were just like you know what eff it we’re

Putting a bunker in the middle of the Fairway at 300 yards it’s just this little bunker but it is dead in the middle of the Fairway and I know it’s going to be in some players heads and if you hit the ball and bunker it’s going to be so infuriating so don’t be

Surprised if this hole trips a couple players up it’s not a huge bunker but it is very funny that they were like it’s too easy which we do I know bunker at 300 yards right in the middle of the Fairway so there’s going to be a couple

Guys that hit it in the bunker there’s going to be a couple guys that are a little bit nervous and they about hitting in the bunker so they may spray it to the left and the right but if you put it in the Fairway uh you you got a a

Birdie waiting for you so hole 14 I love the 305 yard power 4 it looks drivable it is drivable but the green is one of the smallest and there’s tons of bunkers so guys are just going to probably bomb away put it up there and hope to get up

And down for birdie but it’s going to be tough it’s a lot tougher than it looks it’s not as easy as just like put it up there and it’s going to be in the Fairway there’s a lot of sand up there the green the green is pretty small so

That that’ll be a fun one and then of course hole 18 one of the most beautiful holes on tour 677 par five you just bomb the ball up it rolls down to the left and what’s what’s scary about it is if you start the ball off to the left too

Much it’s going to roll down the hill and it’s going to get into trouble if you put it out to the right the ball will just kind of feed down into the left where you’re going to have a wide openen approach shot so um you got to be

A little bit careful but it’s just swing for the fences on this hole 677 sounds really long but it doesn’t play that long you’ll see guys driving the ball a mile so those are some of my favorite holes uh uh at kaaloa so uh all right uh

Up next guys uh total Strokes gained the last 12 months obviously I I I pulled up stats for last three months and but you really can’t tell that much because a lot of guys only played like a couple tournaments so last 12 months you got Scotty Sheffer at plus 2.88 Patrick kley

Plus 2.24 Victor havin plus 2.19 Xander shley plus 2.19 and Colin Mory Kawa plus 2.04 I pulled this the total Strokes gain for the last 6 months the only thing that really changes is the order and Max H is in this group and shle drops out just a little bit so I believe

Havin technically is number one but it’s all the same guys minus Max Homa who moves up into third spot and bumps Xander shley out of the top five so those are your to Total Strokes gained in the last 12 months uh those of you that are in the fantasy golf league

Klay he is the third highest pric golfer to win on DraftKings we haven’t seen a lot of him and there’s just a lot swirling around with this guy there’s there’s the slow play issue where guys are just openly fed up with playing with him um like Liv rumors Galore he you

Know he’s playing on PJ tour he didn’t go to live and then he’s bitching about money at the Ryder Cup while the US team is just like like just getting their teeth kicked in it’s just a lot going on with Klay and I don’t want to bet on him

I don’t know where his head’s at I don’t know where his confidence is at if he’s back to his normal Patrick Klay self yeah he’s going to be great but this week I don’t want to chance it this is a guy that’s priced in the top three he’s

Finished fourth fourth 16th and 16th at this at this play so not incredible course history so it’s just a guy that uh I’m I want no part of I’m not going to bet on him at all he’s not going to be in my fantasy line up so Patrick Klay

Is a player that I think can trip you up Jordan spe I got several reasons to fade him first we have a little bit of a baby Theory fade the baby Theory they had a baby in September um he played well at the Hero World Challenge but let’s be

Honest that was a tournament with 20 people in it so not really sure you can take that much away from it he doesn’t play great here he’s finished 13th and 21st the last two years and his stats were pretty bad this season a lot of that had to do with that stretch where

He was dealing with aist injury I just think he’s overpriced you got a fade the baby Theory you got a player coming off injury I’m not sure how how much he’s been working on his game in the off season so uh I’m just I’m going to pass

On him this week I don’t trust him he’s a tough guy to trust anyways because you never know what you’re going to get with him from week to week but um I just don’t like that course history uh from him this week there’s too many other better golfers to bet on and Victor

Havin uh he does not play well here and as good as he is this course is just as Kryptonite he’s finished 18th 30th and 31st the last three years and that’s with the field being like around 40 players so those finishes are awful 18th 30th and 31st in water down you know not

Watered down but just low number Fields so he’s the second highest favorite and he’s just there’s no chance I’m going to bet on him with uh with his course history here I’m sorry you’re going to have to prove it to me first before I bet on you so Victor havin Jordan be and

Values so I think I think there’s it’s a great week because we have the no cut so if a guy has a bad round in rounds one or two you know you don’t get creamed by it so I’m going to start with Cameron Davis just because he’s a high-risk High

Reward player but since we don’t have the cut I think you might be able to get a really really good round or two out of him so the reason is just his putting plus 1.33 three Strokes gained putting over the last 3 months not great in the

Other areas but if he gets that putter rolling this is the course to do it on hit some Fairways just get the ball in the green and you get a guy with a hot putter at 7,100 he can absolutely have a round or two where he goes really really

Low and gets us a decent finish so Cameron Davis will start off my lineup Eric Cole list he was the MVP of DraftKings Darlings last year just criminally underpriced all he did was make and get you weekend points and now here he is again at 7,400 he has the

17th best total Strokes gained in this field the last 6 months his putting has gotten better I’m just going to keep writing Eric Cole in DFS he’s like just the Bingo free space just put him in set it and forget it as long as we’re getting these prices on Eric Cole and

Finally Sun JM h i don’t get 8,100 but it’s a bargain I’ll take it it just he’s finished fifth eth and 13th here the last three years so I get top 10 potential upside he’s 15th in total Strokes gain the last 6 months just big upside on a guy that’s

8,100 so Cameron Davis Eric Cole and Sun JM are my DraftKings Darlings I have my full DraftKings DFS lineup that’s in that article that I mentioned over at wagertalk.com we got one more slide here guys it is betting notes before we get this please hit the like button guys

Uh don’t worry about it the back injury popped up he finished 12th fifth second and 1 the previous four years so even though it goes down as he you know he had he had the withdraw I’m not too worried about it uh took a couple weeks

For him to get back to form but uh he should be good to go uh Matsuyama this guy is such a fade right now really struggling with his next with his neck issue at the end of the season so you get a neck issue that looks like it’s

Degenerative he’s going to be you know dealing with that for the rest of his career and he’s not that good here 21st 13th and 41st the last three years he has the 13th worst total Strokes gained in this field the last six months not the 13th the 13th worst total Strokes

Gained you cannot find a category that he’s good in outside of approaches his putting is miserable his driving his distance is getting shorter and shorter he’s not that accurate so matuyama if you got a good fade spot for matuyama he’s a guy to fade and then Windam Clark and Brian

Harmon two guys that get get their first major uh wins this year and yeah they had a little hangover after I totally get it but Clark Windham Clark over the last six months are awful uh plus 0.33 total Strokes gain his putting was bad his approaches were even worse

Um he was putting up similar numbers this time of year I went looked at his results and man uh there was a nine tournament stretch where he had a great finish at like the Zurich open with a partner like the Mexico open and then he

Gets uh a win I believe it was at the Wells Fargo and then he gets the major win and he just goes back to not being very good uh this guy is really not that good um I I just he’s been fade material since he won he was fade

Material before that he’s just overpriced uh I’m look I’m I’m excited to fade Windam Clark this year when you go if you pull up his 2023 season stat season results you’re going to look and you’re like wow there are a lot of finishes outside the top 20

And outside the top 30 for a guy that won a major and you know one another tournament this year you would expect a lot better consistency it did not happen and around this this time of year last year he was back to the same guy where

He was outside top 20 outside top 30 so caught fire I mean that that may be the best stretch of his career but I see a lot of fools gold in Windam Clark I’m a little bit higher on Brian Harmon um Brian harman’s you know obviously he’s

Got one of the best putting Strokes in the game if he gets on fire with the putting stroke you know he can be uh incredible but uh Windham Clark is a guy I’m looking at maybe fading this year as not impressed outside that tournament that that stretch of hot tournaments

There so uh if you disagree I mean let me know but uh you know look it up I I just I think we’re going to get some really really good prices on Fading Windam Clark so uh that is going to do it for us guys don’t forget to hit the
