J Frank Golf Academy YouTube Hello golfers and welcome to the just Frank Golf Academy here at the beautiful Deer Creek Golf Club and today I’m going to talk to you about the master move this is the move that all the best players in the world make they’re all moving their weight forward

And today I’m going to show you how to do that so the simplest drill I always find when I work with my students is taking my iron putting it AC cross my hips and right here I’ve got a I’ve got a uh alignment stick that is going to go

Up the middle of my body from my lower Center to my upper Center here so what I show you I’ll show you kind of what I see with most golfers when they come to me is that as they swing they’re moving their hips back their weight back and

Then their arms are bending and then they swing to the left of the uh Target line so they end up slicing the ball they end up hitting it fat so immediately this is a skill that needs to be learned by the golfer and so what

I do is I go ahead and and put the club across my hips here and now I’ve got this this alignment stick here I’ve got another alignment stick just in front of that about 6 in and my goal every time is to go from a back tilt here a left

Tilt into a right tilt but you can see how my weight moves forward into that front stick so again most people move back behind that behind the middle stick and I want you to move forward where your weight’s forward and you’re into a right side pelvic tilt so that’s the

Swing that’s the movement that the best players do every player that is any good moves our weight forward so again I go back from here the master move is getting to a right side pelvic tilt and you can see when I finish now I’m on the

Front stick I’m not on the back stick I’ve moved my weight forward I’ve moved my shoulders around 90 degrees of the target line hips knee and foot and now I am facing the target okay and you can see when I do that as I go forward here I’m extending tilting and turning my

Body my weight’s forward I’ve moved laterally and then around so I haven’t gone I haven’t gone backwards at all so my weight goes my tilt goes to the left I go forward and up and now you can see I’m plenty forward here so that’s a drill that I would recommend to all

Golfers out there who struggle with hitting behind the ball or slicing the easiest way to fix a slice is to move your weight forward because when you move your weight forward what happens is that that promotes an IND out path okay that promotes an inout path very difficult be

For me to move my weight forward if I’m swinging down to the left so I’m going to go I’m going to move my weight forward my path is in out and you can start to see what that also does is that you can see where my divot is occurring

Now now my divot is in front of the ball so that’s another reason why I put these two sticks down you have to remember the low point to your swing is off of your front shoulder which is to me my left shoulder soting my left shoulder so

That’s the low Point that’s where that stick is this stick is in the middle so that’s how I gauge the two sticks so from here when I’m swinging I’m going back and I’m going forward and you can see is that my low point is forward it’s

Not back so I’ll go ahead and hit one here and I’m going to feel that same thing that’s about as solid as I can hit it right there nice tight little draw and you can see when I finish now I’ve moved my weight forward okay I’m up on my toes

So you can see the side of my shoes here you can see my weight my hips my shoulders my chest my stomach are all looking towards a Target I’ve moved 909090 I’ve also move my arms around me in a circle and you can see when I finish I can hold this finish forever

Most people who hit balls they hit a ball and they fall backwards or weight’s moving back so this is again a great drill so the master move down the line is very important here so as you can see I’m going to go into a left tilt then

Into a right tilt and you can see when I get into a master move down the line I’m in a right side pelvic tilt my shoulders inclined to the ground my right ear is closer to the ground here so as I come this way you can see that my finish is

Forward again I have my weight forward turn 909 90 to the sticks here but I’ve moved my weight forward so down the line when I practice this you can see I’m still same thing right so you can see my arms around my around my body my weight’s forward my divots in front but

You can see the Tilt so I’m going to go ahead and hit one here so again real solid golf shot I’ll take that all day long and again my weight’s forward I’m finished in the side tilt side pelvic tilt here Boom Like This all day long I can hold this

Finish all day long too so that’s really important that way you get a good view down the line of what the master move looks like and again I I tell everyone this do these drills as much as you possibly can do them in slow motion do these drills have your weight move

Forward have yourself move in a in a tilted motion take small swings when you’re doing this small back swing small follow through and you can see every time I do this I move my weight forward and I’m able to hit the ground in front of the ball I’m hitting the

Ground on this stick not behind the middle stick and that’s very important for all the best ball Strikers as they move forward they can do this every time I’ll go ahead and try another one so you can see I’m not hitting a lot of balls here I’m doing a lot of drills

Of moving my weight forward okay I’m getting into this you this is something that you have to be able to do this also takes care of that old you know putting the cigarette out of the back foot we don’t want that that’s no good we want to move our

Weight forward and around so I’m moving linear towards the Target and then around I’m not moving around so that’s a big difference so I’m going to go ahead and hit one here again pretty good shot out there weight forward you can see how I’m moving my weight forward here so again that’s very

Important important to do for the the master move to get that ball striking hitting the ball then the turf the biggest thing again you know we’re always talking about controlling low point so when I hit low Point low point is in front of the ball so many golfers will hit the

Turf behind the ball and so that’s why these two sticks are crucial so you’re getting a whole bunch of information here which is going to help you but as I move forward into the back of the ball and you can see how I move forward that helps me keep my arm straight move

Around into a good balanced finish so I go ahead and hit that again about as solid as I can hit it a tight little draw and you can see every single time I finish on my front foot so this is something and you can see I’m in

Front of this stick even so that’s what the best players do they’re always able to move their weight forward to hit the ball than the turf and that’s something that I know can help you on the so try that do the master move this is the drill for you very
