She made history by becoming the youngest player to qualify for the U.S. Women’s Open at the age of 12. At the age of 16, she set a new record as the youngest-ever winner of an LPGA tournament. Here we’re talking about one of the most feared golfers on the LPGA tour, Lexi Thompson. She made a name for herself at a very young age and is still on top of her game. Shooting a hole-in-one at the Grant Thornton Invitational in front of all the PGA Tour pros. But what do we know about her? Why would a fifteen-year-old attempt to sue and change the LPGA’s rules twice? And what is the dynamic between Donald Trump and Lexi herself? Let’s dive into the story of the LPGA Tour’s rising star.

The hard work and sacrifices she had to make paid off big time. Before Lexi made it to the U.S women’s open in 2007, she had already won the U.S. Kids Golf World Championship twice, in 2003 and 2004. But most astonishing of all, she made history at the age of 12 when she became the youngest player to qualify for the US Women’s Open. She finished the event with scores of 86 and 82, falling short of making the cut. Back in 2007, she emerged victorious in the Aldila Junior Classic, making her the second-youngest winner in the American Junior Golf Association. Lexi would qualify for the U.S women’s open again the following year and make the cut. By the end, she finished 34th, an extremely impressive achievement for a 14-year-old.

Tour Lexi Thompson she made a name for herself at a very young age and is still on top of her game shooting a hole in one at the Grant Thornton Invitational in front of all the PGA Tour Pros but what do we know about her why would a

15-year-old attempt to Sue and change the lpga’s rules twice and what is the dynamic between Donald Trump and Lexi herself let’s dive into the story of the LPGA tour’s rising star Alexis NL Thompson was born in Coral Springs on February 10th 1995 her childhood wasn’t what you’d call normal considering she was already

Making history when she was 12 years old Thompson had quite a unique childhood despite the fact that she was raised in a household of of golf lovers with both of her brothers playing the sport and both of her parents being passionate golfers she reflected on her childhood

Golf was a significant part of her life in order to give her the opportunity to dedicate 7 hours every day to golf they decided to homeschool her so that she was able to focus on her practice Thompson acknowledged the difficulty of the situation by stating I lost the

Friends I went to elementary school with and didn’t make any new Through The Years growing up with two brothers Nicholas and Curtis Thompson who later became professional golfers on the PGA tour and on the corn fairy tour helped Thompson become a competitive beast on and off the course in an interview with

Lot of time with them the hard work and sacrifices she had to make paid off big time before Lexi made it to the US Women’s Open in 2007 she had already won the US kids Golf World Championship twice in 2003 and 2004 but most astonishing of all she made history at

Intention to play professional golf she was immediately offered sponsorship deals from Cobra Puma golf and Red Bull making history as the first golfer to strike a deal with both Brands after the merger when she turned Pro it was tough for her to join these tournaments strangely enough she didn’t have an

Official LPGA Tour membership because LPGA Tour rules did not allow anyone under 18 to play on the tour she had to rely on sponsors who believed in her and that belief really paid off Lexi managed to get into some of those tournaments and in her debut at the US Open she

Finished in 10th Place earning her first professional check of $72,000 late in 2010 Lexi submitted a request to the LPGA to allow her to compete in a 12 LPGA tournaments instead of the six allowed to non-members her request was denied but a change in LPGA rules authorized her to participate in

More than 12 tournaments the following year at 16 Thompson made history Again by becoming the youngest winner on both the LPGA and ladies European tours she beat the LPGA Tour rookie at the time Tiffany Joe by a five-stroke margin she also broke the record for the youngest

At that time Lexi has come a long way from that 12-year-old girl who failed to make the cut in her first US Women’s Open she has won the solheim cut up five times since she began playing on the LPGA Tour and she has a total of 11 career victories including one major

Championship title all of this has resulted in total career earnings of almost $14 million she finished the 2017 season with a score average of 69 fall 114 which was the highest of any player on the circuit that would be the fourth lowest scoring average ever in LPGA

History Lexi was given the LPGA ve trophy for this accomplishment in April 2017 Thompson got hit with a four-stroke penalty for wrongly putting her ball back on the green while on the 17th hole in the third round of the 2017 Ana inspiration a TV viewer reported the

Break in an Instagram post Thompson wrote that she needed time to work on herself saying I have not truly felt like myself for quite some time I am therefore taking this time to recharge my mental batteries and to focus on myself away from the game of professional golf the break lasted a few

Months before Thompson made her return in late 2018 and won the CM group TOUR Championship with an 18 underpar score securing a four-shot victory over Nelly Corda this win her first in over a year and the 10th in her pro career came with a $500,000 prize a standout moment

Unfolded in 2023 when Thompson making history became the seventh woman to compete in the PGA tour at the Shriner children’s open even though she didn’t make the cut her involvement represented a significant move toward challenging traditional Norms in golf in her younger years she held a contest to find a date

For the prom since Thompson who was homeschooled didn’t have the typical high school prom experience she decided to join one of her friends proms the problem was that she didn’t have a date according to her mom as shared with Sports Illustrated in 2011 it’s it seemed the boys were afraid to ask her

Out because of the whole golf thing or her height Lexi says she’s 5’11 but her agent insists she’s taller to solve this Thompson started a Facebook competition to find a prom date with the assistance of her agent and sponsor Red Bull the prize included an all expenses paid trip

To Florida to accompany her to the prom contestants needed to be military veterans under the age of 21 eventually she picked 20-year-old Marine Lance corporal Mark Scott from neille Illinois a Purple Heart recipient from Afghanistan the two attended her prom accompanied by an e camera crew Thompson

Noted it was not your typical prom but it was a special and really cool experience golf also brought her an unexpected friend in the name of Donald Trump Lexi has played golf with him on several occasions as mentioned in the Sun Sentinel she highlighted playing with him alongside her brothers

Describing him as a great supporter of the game according to her Trump Trump is a decent player especially excelling with his driver and being the fastest player she’s seen Yahoo news reported that when Thompson needed a golf course in South Florida Trump generously offered her a membership to one of his

Courses when Trump became president Thompson was questioned about his politics but she preferred to stay out of it she told gol week that she avoids political discussions with Trump stating I’m not into politics so honestly I can’t even ask him anything she did note that more people now follow him around

On the golf course than before one thing is for sure she has had an exceptional career so far with Incredible achievements can we expect more of Lexi Thompson in 2024 and do you consider her to be the best female golfer ever share your thoughts in the comments below

  1. She's a terrific golfer/athlete, but she could be even great if she would trim her swing. She literally jumps out of her shoes when she swings, and she does not need to do that. It hurts her accuracy, and she would be more consistent if the swing was cut down to about 80/85%. She is a big, strong girl, all she needs is to make a good strike of the ball.

  2. Lexi as of right now to me, is the only true power golfer and woman’s golf. She can really go low and she can hit it out there a mile.

  3. We love the LPGA. Lexi is our least favorite golfer-her aloofness is disappointing and her play is very mediocre.
