Thing you need to know and look there’s a lot of contest you can enter ranging anywhere from five bucks to a couple hundred to enter for the sake of this video we’ll talk about the gauntlet $25 to enter $1.5 million prize pool pretty simple you go in and you draft okay now

There are no waiver moves there are no trades or anything like that and there are four rounds which we’ll get to in a second but you’re drafting against five other people Sixers draft 10 roster spots so there’s 10 players on your team and it’s a 30 second clock so be sure

When you’re going into this that you have a plan in mind and you’ve researched what’s going on you’ve researched playoff situations and all of that and in case you were wondering it’s a typical snake draft format if you’re drafting first overall in the first round that means in the next round

You’re the last one to draft and as far as the roster breakdown goes like we said there’s 10 roster spots but you have to start one quarterback one running back two either wide receiver or tight end and then you have one Flex five bench spots as well but remember

It’s not about who you start each week that you decide you don’t decide any of that with best ball the best players from your team whether it’s the first guy you draft or the 10th doesn’t matter the top five players are automatically inserted into your starting lineup at

The end of every week now a lot of people like the flashy $1 million first prize but in my opinion this is so much better Underdog has taken a $1.5 million prize pull and said we’re going to do a $150,000 to First 75,000 to second third

PPR certain players are going to have more or less value as a result okay now we have the rounds you have four rounds right you have the Wild Card round the divisional round the championship round conference Championship round and the big game which is the Super Bowl uh and

And each week as you get through your points aren’t cumulative so each week is a new week as long as you advance through the next round and as far as who advances goes in round one two of six Advance right we we talked about those Sixers groups then it

Moves in round two to a 14 person group to advance from that then it’s narrowed down to eight person group in round three in the conference championships where only one of eight advances and finally in the Super Bowl round four you get down to a one single 400 person

Group and if you reach there now you’re talking about being in some pretty significant money all right the boring stuff out of the way but it’s important boring stuff right you’re ready to draft now that’s what matters a couple things that we need to consider when we’re talking about strategy number one

Whether you’re watching this video before the regular season is over or after the regular season’s over if you’re watching before the regular season’s over brush up on the playoff scenarios look at the team’s odds to make the playoffs understand what type of path they could see who they’re going

To face what the by weeks look like now a lot of you may say why would I ever Draft before before the playoff start sure you could make an argument for that but you know in regular baseball that that that I did a lot of this year I

Made out so well drafting in the summer months grabbing tank Dell in the last round of drafts I drafted a lot of teams close to the start of the Season you know in the middle and after the preseason as well but the value on a guy

Like tank Dell at that point was gone now on the other hand you could draft early and players get hurt and now you’re screwed on that lineup or a certain team that you thought could make a real run doesn’t even make it into the playoffs it’s a give and take situation

There’s a lot of nuance but just know that if you are drafting before this the the season is over the regular season’s over keep a close watch on by weeks who you think is going to get the buy maybe San Francisco or Baltimore and if you’re

Drafting a team well of course you don’t want to have both Lamar Jackson and Brock pie because how are you going to advance through the first round if you don’t have a quarterback starting really the most important thing to consider when it comes to strategy for postseason

Baseball and like I said a lot of this I’m still getting the hang of myself because there’s there’s it’s it’s way more complicated it’s way more fun it’s a ton of fun but it’s a complicated process because you have to draft every team with the vision in mind that those

Teams you’re drafting the players you’re drafting are going to make it to the Super Bowl so for example you only have to draft one quarterback and oftentimes that’s actually the optimal approach with that in mind though you won’t you don’t want to draft a team where your

Only quarterback has a bye in week uh in in the the Wild Card round if you do if you were to you know Stack Up on the San Francisco 49ers one way to go about that otherwise would be to grab another quarterback and stack another team that

Doesn’t have a buy and is going to be playing in the first round that you think can make it to the Super Bowl so the strategy and the vision and really the story that you need to tell yourself is all right I’m going to go into these drafts with the mentality that these

Teams that I’m stacking up and by stacking I mean quarterback with their pass catchers with their Playmakers with their running backs right that they can make the Super Bowl so let’s say all right I think there’s good value on the Jaguars and I think if Trevor Lawrence

Gets healthy just as an example they can make a run that’s my AFC team I’m gonna stack up for this one you can do five and five right you can do five players from the same team in the AFC and then you can look towards the other side and

You go well you know the Eagles have struggled lately but they have a ton of weapons their ADP is probably a little lower than it should be because of these struggles and a lot of people aren’t drafting them with the mentality that they’ll make the Super Bowl so now I can

Load up and I can get a five5 Jags Eagle stack look is it likely that that’s your Super Bowl matchup no but you’re playing for $150,000 and a lot of times you have to go off the board you have to go you got to leave the reservation a little bit

And you have to come up with with a process that could work even if it’s not likely to work but yeah from roster construction standpoint you can go 55 of course though you you want it to be one NFC team that you’re stacking and one AFC

Team otherwise once you let’s say you do get to the final round into the Super Bowl if you don’t have enough players on your 10-man roster to fill out a fiveman team you have no shot of winning you just have a completely dead team the ultimate end goal is to make sure that

If you do get to round four if you do get to the finals in that 400 person group that no matter what you have enough players still active that are still live right that didn’t get knocked out in any of the previous rounds to fill out a

Fiveman team and here’s a couple ways you can do it 55 or 433 is another viable approach so you’d say all right I’m going to grab four players from the same team on the NFC side maybe San Francisco and then on the other side I’m going to grab three from this AFC team

And three from this AFC team give yourself a shot so in that sense you would still have seven active players if one team from the NFC your only team and then one of those teams where you drafted three players was into the Super Bowl or you could do a a

4222 build you could go crazy like that if you have a really really strong lean on one team they get in now you’re just hoping that two players from that other conference get into the Super Bowl and again you’ve got six viable players that can make your roster in round four so as

Difficult as all that may seem it’s actually kind of simple right make sure that you’re putting yourself in a position if you make it to the final round to be able to fill out a roster to be able to fill out a team right and if

No matter how you want to do it whether it’s 55 433 4222 as long as you have enough from each conference as long as you’re paying attention to potential by- weeks or solidified by weeks after the regular season and you’re not drafting teams where you have no quarterback to

Start or you’re not stacking up two teams that are on a buy and then you’re dead out of the the gate that is all that matters get to the final round and then pray to the football gods that they’re on your side and that injuries don’t occur and in the end all that
