Well hello everybody it’s Jordan pickle ball here again today and I’m excited to be bringing you a paddle review this is a paddle that I have been very excited to review mainly because I haven’t seen it too much in the market out there and
I think it’s a paddle that a lot of you are going to like this paddle was given to me by bread and butter pickle ball they were kind enough to supply me with the paddle for review and I think that really just shows their effort as a company and their willingness to support
The pickle ball Community around them and it also shows that this company has some faith in the product that they are giving us today so the product at hand is this right here the bread and butter Loco now I got to say that I think the logo is one of the best looking paddles on the market it is very minimally branded but it’s very intentional bread and butter on the side bread and butter on the front logo at the bottom and that
Etched logo in the middle there it is very good looking and it’s got those little yellow and red hints now I don’t know if this is intentional but this was something that I kept thinking more and more of as I reviewed this paddle that this paddle reminds me a lot of Los poos
Armanos so maybe Doug or someone else at uh bread and butter can answer that question but that was the thought that I had while reviewing this paddle I think it’s always fun to get nice packaging and bread and butter goes above and beyond with what they give you uh I did
Not get this in the actual box but I can take a picture of that and insert it here but I did get it with the filth box as well as the fun little Koozie that they give a couple stickers and the coveted Loco hot sauce bottle which I’m
Going to try a little later on here now I’ve had some good unboxings in the past but I don’t think anything comes close to the experience that I’ve had opening this paddle up for the first time they did a great job in making a great paddle but also making it a fun
Experience to unbox it now this paddle does compete with a lot of different paddles on the market we have a couple of its most fierce competitors right here the Double Black Diamond by 60 and the vtic prism flash 14 mm by vadic Pro company now they are all very similar
But if I was to line them up perfectly I did this a little earlier it does seem that the bread and butter is just slightly longer of a paddle now I don’t know if this is true across the board but this was my findings on it otherwise
You get a very similar experience but it might be a trend that the bread and butter just goes a little bit Above the Rest now pricing on the Loco is very interesting it comes to about 140 after discount code but that places it in between something like the vatic prism
Flash and underneath something like the 60 Double Black Diamond so it’s a little more than some and a little less than others and in this market there is a huge amount of hybrid shaped paddles out there so the question is how does this paddle not only compare to the others
But also what makes the Loco stand out we’re going to go over our paddle specs now mine came out at 7.94 Oz again it a hybrid shaped paddle with a swing weight of 113 and a Twist weight of 612 my initial feeling when I picked up
This paddle is wow this paddle is light it feels a lot lighter than the gearbox I have been using but it still feels like a very solid and well construction paddle during my play time I never felt like there was anything uh wrong with the construction of this paddle it felt
Very solid all around and once again speaks to the uh pride of ownership by bread and butter this is a solid paddle and it feels great in the hand now this paddle is going to be a familiar experience to those of you who use a hybrid shaped paddle but I still think
That there is some special sauce when it comes to the Loco we’re going to go over my paddle thoughts next we’re going to cover power pop spin as well as my thoughts on the feeling of the paddle it’s self now for power I would put this
Paddle at 7.5 and I would put it squarely in between the vatic prism and the double black diamond and I would give it a slight Edge over the vatic pro well the power is not exactly the standout feature of this paddle I think it is still a good paddle when it comes
To power and I did not find this a hindrance in any way the power I was able to generate from the Baseline was perfectly suited for me but it did take a little bit of mental preparation since I have been using a few naturally more powerful paddles
Now Pop I would give anywhere between an 8.5 and a 9 and this was a big surprise for me at least for my individual paddle it felt like it was very very poppy I’ve played with several hybrid paddles but none of them have come close to this
Poppin now I know that some paddles Poppin can be a bad thing as well as a good thing because it can be hard to rain in but I did not have any trouble doing so with the Loco I never realized that this much Popp was something that I
Wanted in a paddle but I feel that with this hybrid shape and paired with the spin that this paddle has this is something that I love that being said let’s talk about the spin next so for spin I gave this paddle a nine I think that this paddle is maybe
Not the most spin I’ve ever experienced but it’s definitely top tier it is more than adequate and better than most on the market I feel that I would again place it above the vatic line of paddles and in line with the double black Diamond I feel that with this paddle it’s really
Easy to generate spin it feels good you can get a Top Spin you can get a Back Spin you can really feel it throughout and it felt like I was in control of this spin throughout my time playing now power pop and spin are all important but we at this channel love
Talking about the feeling of the paddle itself and this is where I really like this paddle specifically in pickle ball you hear the term all Court paddle a lot and well there are a lot lot of good paddles in this category sometimes in my brain when I hear that term I think that
That means that nothing stands out with this paddle but this is far from the truth when it comes to the bread and butter Loco I had a great time playing with this paddle I feel that there’s a lot of great Spin and pop as well and it made for a surprisingly good control
Paddle especially when it came to controlling my shots dinking and resetting now I feel that this package comes together in a different way than some of the hybrid paddles I have used in the past this package of spin as well as Pop and just general feelings of
Control makes it feel that I know what shots I’m able to take I’m able to problem solve in different ways and I’m able to make every shot feel satisfying and smooth I should also mention that The Sweet Spot felt great I know it has a Twist weight of 6.12 but I feel that
It felt better and bigger than this number might indicate it also felt great right out of the box and this is something that I cannot say say about uh a lot of the paddles that I have used in the past and I also have not felt the
Need to add lead to the paddle yet I might do it later on just to see how it affects it but if you’re looking for a great out of the- boox experience the loo is one that you can’t go wrong with so we’ve looked at some of the numbers
We’ve talked about the Loco in great detail and we’ve even compared it to something on the market but really the question I think that we all have is who is this for and I think I have two thoughts on this category in the broader sense I would say that this is a paddle
For everyone I think that this is a great paddle that does things differently than any other hybrid paddle that I have used in the past I think that those who love the control aspect of the game are going to love this paddle I think it has a unique blend of
Hand speeed Spin and pop that makes this more than just a simple boring reset paddle but it’s a paddle that makes you feel that you’re in control of every shot you’re doing wherever you are on the court I think it’s priced pretty well at 14025 with a discount code and I
