Being from Utah how was it playing golf in the Cod and uh what are the offers you have for golf that ultimately LED you to obviously going to Wyoming yeah I loved Utah golf we had a lot of great girls coming out of there and for some
Reason Utah golf is like d so there’s a lot of generational golfers and they push you to make you a lot better and they’re fierce competitors so that was super good and helped me who some almost killed Noah just helped me get a better golfer um I had five offers to D1 schools
Coming out of college all in like the mountain west region of the country had two in Utah one in Colorado one in Montana and then Wyoming okay um which is ultim where you landed at yeah which I landed at Wyoming but Wyoming I loved the community they have such a strong
Community out there in the state of Wyoming cuz it’s the only fouryear University wow and so their Community was just like we are invested in our athletes we want them to Excel on the course off the course in life all things and I was like this feels like home this
Feels like a family that I want to be a part of and I loved it and I could see myself growing there especially colder State School have different opportunities and there’s more room for grow so I could have gone to a higher school but starting at a lower school helped me get more
Competitive experience and we traveled to some really cool places that’s awesome if any female high schooler is watching this and you need the plug to go to wyomi she just told you why you should go there so you should probably consider it all right truthy told man I

I started playing golf I knew it was all or nothing for me I started at 11 I was like I like this sport I’m good at it I’m going to take this all the way so had a really good mindset and work ethic right off the bat because a lot of girls
Start at like 8 or 9 so I was a couple years behind but I was like that’s not going to hold me back so decided to work super hard at it and then when College came actually debated if I wanted to still play golf after college or if that
Was it for me and decided okay I’m going to pursue it we’re this close like let’s just tow the Finish Line let’s do it and it has been an amazing journey but it has been brutal at the same time um being on the mini tour It’s a Grind traveling you’re you’re sharing hotel
Rooms you’re driving across country and you’re paying all out of pocket so that’s definitely been a you know harder aspect but it’s been so fun to travel with your friends and play and meet all these people and then be so close to at the same time yeah absolutely well guys

Learned that at the end of the day your faith is what you have to rely on no matter how you perform the biggest thing I realized was that I am good enough no matter how I play out in golf course that I’m fully loved and I’m fully known
And my performance does not determine my worth because God already paid the price for me for his son he said you are worth my son and that is it clean cut and dry doesn’t matter what you do in life in golf or performance wise I love you no
Matter what and that was huge for me and then also having a community like a faith-based community to just have support and call and be like hey I’m struggling like how do I get through this and they could speak wisdom into it and remind me like it’s a sport at the
End of the day right and having that as like my Foundation this season helped me keep going like okay I can go play freely because my worth is not based on this yeah that’s really good and I think a little later we’re going to talk about identity just a little bit even though
You did touch on it I think that’s super huge man because sometimes we do put too much onance on you know our performance you know on if I play really well then my own is on how well I play if I play really bad then it’s about how bad I
Really play when that’s the beauty of having a relationship with Christ is the fact that it’s unconditional love like there’s there’s nothing that can make him not love us man like his grace is so sufficient no matter what and I need to apply that to these next three holes so

Swing you had one all way up to the freshman year of college um good drill is it’s easier to show oh yeah real quick hey free game everybody so if you take an alignment stick in your Club oh and you just rehearse it if you come over the top this is going
To stop you in the legs so if you extend down your line get to a good position and then extend your hands coming through the ball the alignment stick should match your toe line so when I was in high school and freshman year at College I would just sit in my house and
Check the positions cuz you literally have three positions you’re checking here if it matches your toe line your takeaway is good yeah if it’s pointed at the ground your like top half of the swing’s good and then if you’re along the toe line again you’re inside okay so
That’s what I did a lot growing up did you ever apply that to like a full swing with that thing or yeah so I never hit a ton with it but they make a club that is like longer and it has a club head on
This side that you can hit with I don’t remember what it was called but it literally looks like a double-sided Club so you can just take like three4 swings with and into that Lo that’s what my grown up was always like the more reps you do not
Over the ball will help translate to over the ball because then your muscles remember that motion one thing I want us to elaborate on just a little bit is the the part you spoke about with identity um cuz a lot of times as athletes we can

Serve a loving guy who BU as unconditional man so like what is your two sense in regards to Identity as an athlete yeah I think it’s something all people grapple with identity and especially in athletics I was taught that like when you walk into a room and
Introduce yourself a lot of times as athletes we’re told we walk in and we’re like hey I’m Cristian Sasa I’m a professional golf it’s like no I’m a child of God and that gives theity to be a professional golfer remembering like who does God say I am
And that determines my worth not who people say they are because at the end of the day we’re serving God not the world things of this world is always going to be hard on us and not fruitful but when we focus on God his fruit is
Good and just knowing that okay who I am is not determined what other people say I am it’s what God says I am and I am his child and I am loved and I am known and when I walk into a room I can proudly wear that and know that I am his
Child I’m a Child of God I’m a professional golfer because he gave me that gift those talents because everything from that we have in our lives comes from him and at the end of the day if we don’t remember that we get lost in identity and comparison and
Comparison is the thief of Joy so if we’re comparing in our identity to people we’re losing that joy that God promises to us yeah that’s good I want to also encourage too I mean obviously we’re talking about you know Sports and being golfer being a football player but
This also applies to you know if you work a desk job you know your identity is still INR you work a des job if you’re just simply a coach you’re a teacher uh it’s not just uh only mentioned as athletes but in in everything we do so uh please accept
