So, what’s my background?

Well, as most professional golfers my dream was to play professionally. However, that dream was a little lofty for someone with my talent. So, I decided to take a different route. This route was to investigate the science behind getting better, specially how to hit the ball further! After all, who doesn’t want to hit the ball further.

This desire to learn how to increase swing speed lead me to investigate the body in terms of golf fitness and golf biomechanics. This interest in golf fitness lead me to complete TPI Level 1 and 2; become a qualified massage therapist and then extend that knowledge by completing a Masters degree.

During my Masters, I focused my research solely on increasing club head speed through golf fitness interventions. This line of scientific enquiry provided me with first evidence and golf fitness routines which would increase swing speed and hence increase club head speed. Personally, I found this research to be extremely helpful, and I increased club head speed by 15mph (from 100mph to 115mph) within 1 year.

After this I have turned my attention to the biomechanics of the golf swing. This combination of golf biomechanics and golf fitness knowledge allows me to provide coaching to all levels to help increase club head speed.

Adam Scott has got a new secret swing move it’s something really subtle and it’s probably something that you’ve probably not noticed so let’s have a look at Adam swinging this new secret move that he’s employing it’s something that a lot of long drive guys use and

Adam has started doing it so if we look at this right foot this right heel can you see how it’s raised off the floor so what he’s doing is he’s raising that foot and then look as he takes it into back swing he’s raising that heel can you see that that heel

Raises and then it Stomps back down now what that move allows him to do is create a little bit of momentum and create a little bit more pressure into that trail heel now it’s something you’ll see with a lot of long drive guys they do this move to create a lot of

Momentum and a lot of speed so that’s the first move that Adam’s doing now let’s have a look at the second move so so you can subtly see it on here if we look at the left heel he’s actually raising that left heel up as he gets to

The top of the Swing now you’ll really see it from the face on watch this left heel so if we look we take him back you can see as well on that right heel how he drops into that right heel and then look he’s lifting that left heel up off

The ground and then what he’ll do is he’ll slam it down down here which creates a tremendous amount of force look how his body moves down to the left down down and that’s creating a lot of speed for Adam as well as creating some Tempo and a little bit more flow in his

Swing it’s something very very subtle not something you probably expect from Adam Scott to employ but he’s definitely using it I don’t know if it’s for just Tempo or he’s trying to gain a little bit more speed
