Good day guys welcome back to Super coach with Dr hope you’re being well yes it is that time of year the team picker is out for super coach gold subscribers and for me personally it could not have come at a better time I’ve just finished up from work yesterday and although I’m

Coming down with something don’t know what it is starting to get the runny nose bit of a scratchy throat but look happens every year at the end of school for me but it is what it is couldn’t Mar me less because the team picker is out

What we’ve all been waiting for so today what we’re going to do is we’re going to take a quick look at some of the player prices select that initial side you know nothing’s locked in at this stage of the year but something we really really do

Need to take into account is this leak that’s been I suppose officially unofficially leaked in many social media circles and this is the KFC supercoach start for 2024 so we’re going to go through these quick points take a quick look at the fixture and then we’ll start

To look at some of these prices and select a side so these ramifications are huge because super coach in 2024 is going to be a year like we have not seen before because if we take a look at this first point here the KFC super coach AFL

Season will begin in round one and not in the opening round so all this round zero business the games in round zero are not actually going to count towards super coach so this means that we get a free look at these teams and actually get a little bit of data in actual

Matches before the Super coach season officially starts another thing that’s huge the ramifications for the fixture itself so if you take a look below me here I’ve got a visual for the Buys so in round zero we have a number of teams on the bar here Adelaide Iden Frio

Jalong the Hawks North Port the Saints the Eagles as well as the dogs that’s huge because all of a sudden what this means is for the whole of the super coach season these teams here will only face the one bu whereas the teams that actually play in round zero will face

Two buys during the Super coach season that is absolutely massive so all of a sudden you know the Locking heels the Josh Dunley my boy Kitty Coleman I was pretty keen on taking a look at him they pretty much become irrelevant because they’ll face a b in round two so these

Are all things we really need to take into account now things may change here as I said this is still unofficial but I’m pretty sure this is the way that things will pan out if you look at the second Point here opening round stats will be taken into account for price

Changes and live scoring in some form and will be available to Super coach plus subscribers during the first four matches as I said very very good for data collection we look at the third point would be best 18 scoring for all buy rounds including the two team buy

Weekends rounds 2 3 five and six so that includes the Lions Blues then the Suns Giants we skipped to round five that’s the pies as well as the swans Brady Grundy going to be a very popular selection this year also something like a Nick deos then we look at Melbourne

Always a pretty popular team when it comes to Super coach as well as the tiges one thing that this doesn’t mention and this raised my eyebrows a little bit and I’m not sure if it’s I’ve just forgotten to include it here but if we go to round 13 that’s also a two team

By Weekend where we see Foo as well as Port now these two teams are extremely juicy if they have the same thing as the two three five and six two team buy rounds and also that’s a best round day because they also have the Buy in round

Zero so that means that really they’ll only face one buy they’ll face that buy together that will be in round 13 and if it’s best 18 that is absolutely juicy I’m really looking to lock in as many of these players as I can without going overboard and if you look at the last

Point here any changes in the number of allocated trades will be confirmed in January so we will have to wait for that along with full gameplay details for 2024 so don’t take this as gospel but I have been told by a few sources here that this should be pretty accurate the

Big question mark for me is what’s going to happen in that round 13 buy now when I my team today anyway I’m going to assume that this may have been a little bit of an error um but it may be the case that this dream run that these two

Teams have in F and Port it’s just too good to be true but I’m hoping that it will be true and uh if not though there’s obviously changes that will need to be made if we take a look at the fixture here uh look I’m not going to go

Through it because I will leave this up uh as I’m selecting players as I’m selecting the side so yeah make sure that you really take this into account but uh cannot wait for this uh look that’s it for the intro I know that I’m pretty Keen to get into it hope you are

Too let’s start to select the first side for super coach 2024 all righty let’s get into it we will start off in defense as always and if we take a look at the top four we have four players above that 600k Mark that being day cost s Ley Stewart and Luke Ryan if we take a look at the top

Six five out of these players share the round zero bu really really tempting to start the only player that doesn’t unfortunately will be a really popular selection or maybe not anymore and that being Nick deos what you also may want to do and I won’t do this for this video

Just so I can show you all the player prices is filter just to start off with those teams that do share that round zero buy when you are looking to select some of these premium but as I said I won’t for this video something you may

Want to do now if we look at who I’m interested in here there’s probably two BLS three BLS here that I really like and that is James sis Le Tommy Stewart and Dan Houston now Sicily we all know what this man can do can he improve I’m

Not too sure are we playing or paying full tote for him possibly but he’s a really reliable option look when I say reliable he did get suspended last year I think was absolute B assoles at the game with Steve from SS Cod shout out to you Legend as well I’ve heard that he’s

Put a team reveal out haven’t checked out anyone’s yet but looking forward to that mate but uh yeah big fan of sisly Tom stew as well super reliable does the odd dumb thing as well can go out with an injury here and there but those tools are pairing I think really reliable

Particularly given the fact that they do have that round Zero by Dan Houston is another bloke who I’m really keen on possibly is a bit of a pod this year was actually on my never again list but I think that you’ve got to re-evaluate those lists at times and his name is off

That now and possibly looking to start him don’t know if I will but certainly an option that I really like here Ryan could be an option but I’m just not completely sold on him at this stage Sinclair if you want to go there that’s fine also deos I really would love to

Select him but as I said that Finn mcginness tag before his Buy in round five that does scare me off a little bit uh we look down a little bit we’ve got Nick Newman there I’m not interested with uh calton’s fixture uh Harry sheel here’s another

Bloke so what I’m going to do I’m actually going to get rid of Houston and I’m going to bring Harry Shel in I think he he’ll continue with that halfback role possibly looking to play bit of Midfield time as well a young gun always a bit of a risk will he get seconde

Blues I just don’t think so I really you rate him as a player we’ll see what happens but I do have those really experienced heads there in Sicily and Stuart so happy to go with Shel at this stage and I think that’s a bit of a theme that you’ll see particularly when

We get to the Midfield looking to really select some of these young guns that are really about to enter their Prime uh if we look here short not really seagull I had a bad experience with him last year this another really interesting one in Jordan Ridley now he is a burn man for

Me own him for two years and things just haven’t panned out Mai there now will that free him up I’m thinking that it will but he’s just such a burn man he’s one of spills his love love child uh he’s you know he’s got the number 14 gy there in the background of

All these videos I may actually leave this one for spy I think for now because I can’t fit him in if I’m going to get this man in I am huge John Hayden Young And to be honest he’s probably my first lock Defender going into 2024 now things

Didn’t pan out well for him initially last year but when we saw that move that big move into the Midfield we saw his scoring absolutely start to spike so for me this year at 525,000 I think he’s an absolute bargain super talented player about to Wi to his

Prime I think that Chang and roll we got a bit of data last year and if you somehow selected him to end the season you would really been rewarded there so I won’t go through all the averages Etc now we’ll leave that for the team pre previews and the player previews but I’m

Big on Hayden Yang so that means I really can’t select the Ridley uh sheel as well really not too sure on but uh if we take a quick look at these four and look at the fixture and this is something and I was chatting to a few

Legends on X this morning swis one of these BLS originally I had Houston instead of uh who was it Tom Stewart but if we take take a look at the buys here there’s a really really nice spread so if we take a look at Sicily he’s got the

Round 15 buy Stewart has the round 14 buy sheel he’s got the round 12 buy and we take a look at young he’s got the round 13 buy so those four premiums in defense are perfectly spread throughout their four buys they are all round zero players as well so to me that is

Absolutely perfect I know it’s so early on I’m going to say like an idiot saying this but I really can’t see myself deviating away from this defense unless like a Shel doesn’t look like he’s going to get the role that we expect or that I expect anyway we’ll have to see what happens

Even Tommy Stewart maybe looking to play a little bit more of that Midfield role is that good is that bad there’ll be people that are on both sides of the fence there again that’s a different conversation but the buys we’ve really got to take these into account and again

As you can see that is the absolute perfect spread there so really really like that at this stage then if we continue to go down the list you’ve got your Whitfield types not really interested the Red Dog Bailey Dale was slightly disappointing for me last year

More you wouldn’t go there I don’t think dun no Doug and no brayshaw possibly we’ll see what his role is but don’t love his buy sad not for me you’ve got the lizard there really talented player could it be his year to really break out possibly knock on my boy Harris and Cox

Absolutely not roli mcra gez thank you very much and gws for allowing us to get hu with pick three Barry throwing in for free thank you gws Richards Hardwick now naziah this the B that I started with last year ended up jumping off early and he ended up coming good he could be

Another selection if you’re looking to go that breakout type option did he break out in the second half of last year not fully but this bloke that you could highly consider and if he’s in your initial starting team I don’t I don’t blame you whatsoever I applaud you

For going with him a young gun as well um for me I much prefer Hayden Yang Others May disagree could you even save a little bit of cashier and go na instead of a sheel it’s a possibility so don’t mind the na pick at all weering probably not hingi may have a friendly

Role coming into Super coach this year ah better back up this Alex withan so the thing with this bloke right whenever he seems to play he he can score decently and that’s back to his Brisbane lies days I was really tracking him closely back in those days many of

Us had him in his rookie year I think now coming into this year without Shannon Hearn under 500k under 475k at 472 he could be an option the issue is he’s just super unreliable is in their best 22 week to week yeah if you’re not certain on these type

Of things it’s a really risky option to start off with so probably not for me but but who knows Never Say Never with wiow but a risky type option A GV know is just way too injury prone for me Steven May no Ash could break out who

Knows Taylor one of the most talented players in the comp uh Smith no himberg now there’s probably what 10 to 15 points made on the bone here again don’t love his fixture though but pretty cheap he could be an option he could be an option uh mayard mcgaven barass yo absolutely

Not leam Baker’s a de forward what’s his role going to be the issue with Baker is that he’s just that Mr Fix It man I highly considered him last year actually uh coming out of Defense but where is he going to look to play if it’s forward absolutely not if

It’s Midfield defense I don’t mind that but i’ even as a full-time Defender I would take that but the issue is even if he starts off there and the coach may say look this is where he’s going to be playing his footy I just think if if

There’s injuries if you know things just aren’t panning out he’s the man that they throw around so he can have a big impact on a game of footy and I love leam Baker but I just think he’s a little bit too risky Mr Fix It Buckley know breakout last year mini breakout anyway

McDonald have to see what his R is looking like um Miller absolutely not Hunt No Burton olle Floren don’t mind him as a player coming at defense I’m going to start to skip through some of these guys hopefully I’m not going too quick so you can actually

Check out the prices I’m just not going to you know talk about everyone Perman not bad there H Zach Guthrie no Haynes 408 uh I skipping here this is disappointing Kitty Coleman at 398 I was pretty keen on Kitty now there’s a lot to play out with this pick

But I see him as a main kickout taker we know that rich wasn’t in the side for a lot of last year look at his injury-prone Kitty there’s some other players there that uh will take some points without doubt but I’m not even going to worry discussing him at the

Moment because I just don’t know how relevant is going to be with that fixture Atkins no oh s we going up sorry I thought I’ve been looking at these players uh H the Pepsi Max King love the band favorite play in the comp but not going there coming where does he

Actually play maybe on a wing even D day won’t be available love him as a pickup though for the Lions Williams OK Conor W no sorry I’m going through pretty quickly here Sheamus had a decent year last year great to see CJ’s brother get picked up as well uh good news on Murphy

Not super coach wise but he’s looking good to continue uh his AFL career good to see I’m not the biggest fan of Murphy but anyway good to see for the young man a wi taker where does he play 323 could be a bit of a value option depending on role uh Josh

Goa SAA chot no stars so no real options that I’m loving here that’s why I’m skipping past pretty quickly marchie no okay so this one’s interesting Heath Chapman at 251 so some may assume with young potentially looking to go into the Midfield that some like a Chapman

Fulfills his role but there’s a bit of news going around that chappie may look to be playing on a wing if that’s the case at 250 doesn’t really interest me near as much as if he’s got that defensive role if he plays in defense I think at 251 he seems like a really

Solid option for mine but we’ll have to see we’ll have to see I’m not going to select him for now but definitely one that you want to put put on your watch list anyway Nick Cox is another one talented player Defender mid so DPP status one to keep on your watch

List as well how’s masmo going to go could be a bit of a pot at 224 coming across from ESS to the Hawks I know the Hawks are pretty keen on him so one that will definitely keep a watch on Kane Baldwin got to keep a watch on

Now this bloke here I hate doing this Zack Williams is like oh is he even going to get up who knows he knows he’ll probably do something in the preseason but I think at 216k the man just really selects himself you can’t not select Zack Williams now

Has a terrible fixture I know that but not not terrible but not a great fixture but at just over 215k I don’t think you can deny him for talent look if he plays the first 10 games then I think it’s worth it he’s in for now but it’s on potential it’s on on

Name here is I’m not too sure but I don’t think that you can’t go with him while he’s looking healthish who knows how long that’ll last for so what do we got three other positions here luy k no Hugo I’ll tell you what if he has a breakout

Preseason possibly off the half back asn’t that that attacking type player taking on the game he could be an option at just under 200 not not the best fixture though uh none of these BLS here really interest me Dan curtain he does interest me highly rated player where does he fit in adela’s

Defense I’m not too sure this would be a jords qu jords question uh shout out to the great man I will have to ask him about curtain but again DPP you could select him in your Midfield so depending on what other rookies we’ve got to ailable here in defense may even look to

Do that but I’ll get him there for now uh bayy McDonald no song Jackson prior so you’re probably not going to go there but just a little note uh I did watch a preseason Lin’s video I forget where it was but they had the camera there as the

Players were coming on to the ground for training who has been looking really good in the preseason and I reckon maybe 20 25% of the players went with Jackson prior so Jacko PRI who knows very tough team to break into uh but maybe a Wings Spot is

Looking to go I’m not too sure but just a little note there to keep in mind Josh gbus here so highly rated player injured last year 150k that’s pretty juicy I think originally he cost more than that in his rookie year so I’ll probably look

To get him in for now maybe I will get curtain in Midfield grer barass probably not Jed Adams now there may be rookies I’m just skipping past here near Arnold buling he may be an option uh absolutely do you know what because I know there’s another option I

Will most likely get curtain in my Midfield because I’ve got to get Cofield here so coming across from the Saints obviously highly talented player top 10 pick just has not been able to get his body right if he can lock down a spot well we’re hoping in defense aren’t we

Maybe a wing not too sure then his absolute manone for Jam I think at 123k someone you could possibly start as well on field I think he’ll be very very hard to go past but again like a Williams these BLS just cannot seem to get on the park

So a bit of a risky sort of yeah D5 to D6 there gbus as well coming back from injury so the the thing that I suppose I’m a little bit more confident with is that I’m not paying up for these type of players with durability issues so I’m

Okay with that for now now the reason why and we should come to him pretty soon I think the reason why I am going to look to possibly uh get E from Adelaide in defense uh sorry curtain uh from defense to the Midfield is that we’ve also got

Someone like am Marty hore picked up again by Melbourne we’ve also got where is he here this man Toby pink so play some good footing in the sanfield previously on the swan’s list as well I think that he could play some early football for north and be a decent cash

Care for us so uh as defensive unit as I mentioned with your your four premiums there you’ve got a really nice spread over the buyers I think Williams almost picks himself as does Coffield at the price if he can get that spot get his body right gbus as well talented player

He’ll definitely be in the best 22 if fit and as I just mentioned with pink as well I think that he’s got a high chance to play some early football so as an eight for my defense I’m pretty happy with that for now a lot of this again is

Based on fixture and who knows what’s going to happen with that Freo Port byy I really do love Dan Houston I’d love to fit him in but that’s unfortunate uh if I keep looking through the list here sh maker I was hoping that the lines would actually pick him up so

Yeah good value there for the Saints in my opinion who knows uh and then we get all the way down the bottom to Liam Mo Connell so pretty happy with a defensive unit for now let’s take a crack at this Midfield the first thing we notice here

Option so why don’t I do that just for now get the great man in CU we know about their buy Jordan Dawson now one thing that I would recommend don’t ride off a player just because they’ve lost their DPP so what happens year upon year when you know the Josh Dunley types and

Dunley sort of lost it gained it he’s been one of those players uh but one thing that lots of people tend to do is just ride off the dorson types uh the rosie types the butters types that have lost their forward or defensive DPP and their purely midfielders only they are

Talented players and if you take a look back their averages last year it was up there with some of the best midfielders in the comp so if you find some extra Pros to their games then don’t worry about selecting him so Jordan Dawson is someone that I’m definitely going to be

Select or looking to select possibly at some stage this year may even start with a man not for now though I’m going to skip pass him now Josh Dunley I would love to select he’s one of my favorite players as well being a lions man but just not early on you can

In my side again I know a lot of players were burnt with him but for now I’m actually going to get him in erel if he had ld’s fixture he would probably be the man that would go over him but due to that probably not Caleb song is going

To be very very tempting as well however I’ve got the choice here or we’ve got the choice here and look go for both if you want to but for me it’s probably one of song or braw who do I like better well I’ve got them pretty much on par pretty much on

If I think that that’s the case then what I’m going to do is I’m going to go with the cheaper option and that’s Andy B so you’re getting him just under 610k there and song is just over 620 now I know that’s nitpicking with only 10K but

That can always come in handy so for now I’m just going to go BR Shaw I’m definitely going to go with one of these two Foo boys at this stage with fixture I want to pair him up with a Butters type even someone like a Rosie who will

Get to uh I did skip this man Tom Green now I think that he could be the highest scoring player in the comp this year really Ray green started with him last year had a great time got injured I jumped off and on his return absolutely

Smashed out of the park had a couple of down games I think but really rate him as a player he is an absolute bull an absolute beast but the fixture just puts me off slightly given the fact he’s 620k plus so at this stage not selecting Tom

Green but I’d love having my team at some stage I think he may even come to be a must have that’s how much I rate him and should I just yeah not take the fixture into account as much as I am maybe you know the pick is only been out

For a day or under a day so yeah there’s a lot of things that we need to think about here and to be honest I haven’t been thinking AFL been right into the BBL and the NBL so I’m going to skip Tom Green for now though loing Neil you just

Can’t go there at this stage Shera had a really really great year last year Parish maybe but again injury history how many of these BS can I actually run tror I just skip past these days now Rosie if you’re not the biggest fan of butters for some reason you are saving

35k here he’s a captain now we know his Young Gun really long-term contract as well as is BS as well uh but I probably prefer excuse me why that I’m not too sure first cough pretty proud of that but uh yeah you may want to select one

Of the two I’m probably not going to go with both until we get a little bit more confirmation about that round 13 buy so probably skip for now but certainly an option and the other thing you’ll see here with the one two three Young Guns bit of a different uh strategy for me

This year no Olivers leads those types we are going for the Young Guns here uh Timmy Toranto I thought he was going to be a little bit cheaper if he had a better fixture who knows but we know he’s more of a fantasy pick but good on him for

What he did last year Noah Anderson I think could be another break breakout absolute Uber option but not going there for now ah Sam wsh 576k this bloke is one of the best midfielders in the comp I hate I don’t hate but not a huge fan of the man

Fixture I’ve taken fixture into account for literally every one of my Primos now if you look here I’ve already got the two North to fro only the one port at this stage with Butters but I was thinking again maybe Houston maybe I can just let go that for once but

Again I’d rather a green than a Welsh but you are saving 50k there we’ll see what happens with money money in the bank but maybe a Walsh for now uh docky only mid jelly I just won’t go near MD ra who knows a cogs no Warner could be

Anything vony I go past McCrae will get to in the forwards Josh deos no h tuy TIY baby tuy baby forgot about t ah again so it’s it’s probably the Walsh or toque with their fixtures so what are we paying here we’re paying 30k more you know what

H this is tough because I don’t reckon I’ll be just what I’ll have 4 and a half mil possibly I may be able to run with turkey as well all right I’ll get him in just for now not sure not sure what his role is going to be new Co we’ll see what

Happens but uh yeah lock him in for now cripper no crou no will day love him as a player but I’m not going to select him there Bolton is a f as well tooy not with their draw Jack steel so I’m not going to select him for now but

This yeah so he’s got the better buy I’m just I’m a little bit burnt by Steel AR’s best days is over you know he had those couple years of 120 plus but then a couple of disappointing years recently you could go say a steal over walan Miller because he does have a

Better buy he’s at a cheaper price but I just don’t rate him as much as the other two options ah but again yeah I can’t run with him it’s probably going to be one of these BLS so I’m just going to get Miller out for now but may come back in

H mccluggage hopefully he breaks out don’t know Mason wood had a great year last year not really uh rewarding the BNF though or in the all Australian Squad at Taran Thomas no crisy Flanders is a fo we’ll see what happens there Nick Martin love him as a

Player but no oh mdy Crouch jeez he had a good answer last year Adelaide have that why don’t they do you know what we’ll see I’m just going lower and lower and lower here aren’t I with my M4 am I scamming out too much is this a little

Bit risky do we need to get some real proven scorers there like maybe a lead a track a bondt we’ll see we’ll see what happens but let’s go down list danger no getting too old MSY just not going there akes Atkins Amon probably not for now I don’t know

What his amon’s role going to be maybe coming off halfback Wing mid Zoro no no way Drew Sai setfield will ashc can’t wait till he gets back OE Wes should I demr now Crouch to Wes surely he was carrying something last year the former Brown low

Medalist look it is an option that I’m going to keep on my watch list I’m going to keep a real close eye on olle wies and maybe ask someone like the great JB P Adela man what his thoughts are on olle uh now really sad news about uh baz
