In the third episode of Challenge Accepted, Joel attempts to hole a 100-foot putt with a couple of twists! The first being he only has 25 attempts to do it and the second being the green he’s chosen to do it on is far from flat. This is going to be his toughest challenge yet and to make matters worse, there’s an embarrassing forfeit should he not manage to complete it, so be sure to watch the video right to the end!

Right for my next challenge I’m really ramping things up this time it’s the 100t crazy putt Challenge from here all the way out there I’ve got 25 balls to do it challenge accepted okay so for episode three of chall accepted I really wanted to increase the level of difficulty we’re
Actually had my home Club here burle Park Golf Club in Stanford linky and it’s a bitterly cold day in December my hands are absolutely freezing but I think it’s going to be a really exciting video so as I said I’ve got a 100t putt here I’m just going to measure that with
My bushel range finder just to confirm so we are 34 yards away from the flag uh so just over 100 ft and looking at some Aros data that I got uh would suggest that make percentage from this sort of distance the tour pro is around about 4%
So 1 in 25 so I’m completely up against it with this challenge it’s going to be incredibly difficult not only when you factor in the temperature but but also the fact the 16th green here at Burley Park is a little bit quirky let’s go and take a look and explain
Why right so before we start this challenge I just want to show you the quirkiness of the 60th green here at Burley Park as you can see it’s a very long green from front to back but as we get kind of 2/3 of the way up towards
The hole you see you’ve got this big slope goes up the hill and it’s not a traditional 2T green and that would continue all the way along it then drops down so you got this kind of big sleep policeman style hump goes up all the way down makes judging the pace incredibly
Difficult but also the line of the put after it comes down the hill can get a bit wobbly it’s quite difficult to read so I’m definitely up against it with this challenge not only with the distance but the quirkiness of the green the temperature of the wind everything
Is working against me and I’ve only got 25 balls to do it so it’s going to be really difficult but let’s get it underway and see how we do I’ll tell you what it’s not not the worst opener got to hit it very hard look like it moved a little bit right to
Left so bit harder a little bit more right come on oh it’s a bit jumpy right next to the first one consistent that’s got a chance it’s got a chance oh oh it’s happening it’s happening 25 that’s too many I don’t need that many probably in a actual round I probably
Chip this with a seven on there oh it’s looking tasty that’s a bit left oh can’t feel my fingers which I don’t think is helping do it do [Laughter] it no that was so close oh that’s unbelievably close right right go go go oh give it a nudge out the way oh it’s going to happen it’s going to happen pulled it no what I haven’t explained yet is that there is a forfeit if I don’t do this challenge
Which is embarrassing watch to the end because could get quite entertaining no getting worse no no no go 11 balls in not really only got three past the hole so not hard Enough so over halfway Through definitely hard enough go go go go Most of them are on the left as well so you need to aim more right hit it harder got it there got it there a bit left go go Go no no I can’t believe that how’s that missed oh my go that must have it must have like lipped out or nearly what is it oh dear okay eight balls left obviously the likelihood of me making this is going down all the time but I’m getting that
Feedback loop I know exactly what the put’s going to do so I know how hard I hit it how hard it is to hit it I know what line need to hit it on but from 100 ft yes there’s a lot of stuff that can go wrong that’s awful that
Bad it’s starting to rain as well oh back and through BOS barely what are you doing that is absolutely toilet oh God God no well that was it ah three balls left oh that’s it that’s it no it’s not oh did it hit the Balls okay this is it one ball left Moment of Truth imagine the scenes of this guy in oh so cold all right come on come on That’s it challenge failed first time I failed the challenge gave it a good go how this ball didn’t go in I’ll never know but didn’t really hit it only there’s only like two or three that really scared the hole um absolutely gutted to have failed my first ever challenge accepted but um
Gave it a good go obviously now as I said there is an embarrassing forfeit so I need to find out what that is um but right now I just need to go and take a moment and reflect on the miserable failure that has been this challenge but
Hopefully you enjoyed it and uh let’s go and see what I’ve got to do right so I finished the challenge I was hoping I can go into the clubhouse have a nice warm cup of tea and warm myself up a bit but I’ve just got a text
To say that my forfeit for not completing this challenge is to clean people’s clubs as they come in and finish their round so I’m going to have to stick around for a little bit wait for people to come in give their clubs a Polish before I can get nice and warmed
