All right guys what’s going on welcome in so in this one I really wanted to focus in on one of the biggest issues that this Jets offense has one of the biggest issues that this Jets team has as a whole here it’s the offensive line
This is not just such a simple fix oh we just got to get that one player and we’re good we got to just wait till Aaron Rogers gets back and everything’s fine no this has been an ongoing issue really for four years I want to say since
2019 but when we just look at this season it has been an absolute disaster everybody knows about the injuries right cycling in through tons of different players I mean Right Guard is just like whoever can sued up is going to play is going to be the starting Right Guard
That’s what it seems like avt the best offensive uh best offensive lineman that the Jets have on the roster really in the past two seasons has had two season ending injuries mcy beckum obviously is not going to be like the future long-term building block at left tackle Dwayne Brown get is getting paid
A ton and is not playing does not look like he’s going to be back uh Conor McGovern starting center out for the season really the only two bright spots avt when he’s healthy and playing and then Joe titman I you know I know he’s not a per he’s not putting a perfect uh
Production or anything like that but as aook second round pick who you know according to the Jets might not have you know started the season out uh as a backup that that was the initial plan Conor mcgoveran won the starting center job uh I think we have something there
In in Joe titman I loved what he was able to do back at Wisconsin and who knows maybe if the Jets have a competent offensive staff next season we can we can see you know JT take a massive Leap Forward I mean at the end of the day
We’re talking Keith Carter Todd Downing and Nathaniel Hackett yeah we can easily upgrade from from really all three of those you know all three of those uh positions so with that said although Joe titman is a major Plus in my opinion and of course ABT is scheduled to be coming
Back and he’s still on a cheap rookie deal although we have those two great building blocks in place it there there’s a lot left to be desired at left tackle left guard and right tackle right now left guard is really interesting because we’re talking about Lake and Tomlinson somebody who’s
Getting paid uh as one of the highest paid guards in football Joe Douglas gave him a huge contract uh a couple years ago and he’s just simply not living up to it um the the production does not uh not equal the pay whatsoever so personally if they just want to move on
From lak I’m totally fine with that if they could if they feel like they could either a get an upgrade or get the same level of same uh level of production for a lot cheaper of a price but tackle is really interesting right because if we look at tackle slim pickings for the
Jets or really any team that wants to upgrade at the tackle position or have significant upgrades at that specific spot once we hit the off season you know some some players to note uh andr Pete formerly of the Norland Saints Trent Brown obviously former Patriot and Raider uh Tyron Smith from the Dallas
Cowboys but that’s really it as far as free agency is concerned as of right now right right you know things can players could get cut guys could get hit thrown on the trade block things like that could definitely definitely happen uh which you know if it you know if a
Bigger name or a productive player or maybe somebody that just fits the system pops up on the trade block yeah I want Joe Douglas to be fully fully interested and then as far as the draft is concerned there’s a lot of options but I I think really for me the top two guys
That I’m targeting at the top of the draft my dude from Penn State Olu fashanu I think he is absolutely tremendous at tackle I mean he could have been a top uh 10 pick last season but he decided to go back to school and is going to be a top 10 pick again
Probably a top five top six pick depending on how the board uh you know the draft selection uh you know plays out where teams stack up and then of course Joe Al from uh Notre Dame you know I think the Jets would be in a great great position drafting either
Fashanu or alt I I really don’t feel like you could go wrong with either but are great off the field both have so much production in pass Pro and run blocking and that leads me to really the kind of the point or or the uh I guess
The inspiration for this video I was taking a look at some of the the rushing numbers that the New York Jets have displayed or put out this season and my God is it disappointing and what’s frustrating is that we know how good of a player breall is we have seen dvin uh
Dvin Cook’s career play out with the Minnesota Vikings the Jets Joe Douglas they obviously drafted iaba aanda in uh round five so you don’t just draft a guy in the fifth round if you don’t know how to use him or if you don’t plan on using
Him if you don’t like his potential uh and obviously the team went out and cut Michael Carter who’s on a rookie deal but we can I mean you know the sack numbers of the sack numbers Zack Wilson uh Trevor Simeon Tim Bole these guys are all going down Aaron Rogers early all
These guys are getting sacked is every sack on the offens line no some sometimes a quarterbacks hold on to the football for too long but we know how bad pass protection has been that’s so obvious but the one aspect that doesn’t get talked about enough in my
Opinion is the Run blocking we cannot run the ball at all right there’s a lot of uh fans that really get fed up with the run run third and long pass it’s really not you know this this crazy concept run run pass but what gets frustrating is run run third and long
Pass why are we in third and long because there is no success in running the football when you are in third and long the defenses can pin their ears back you’re more prone for turnovers I mean the Jets don’t even attempt to push the ball down the field
Like 95% of the time so they it’s not even like they try to shoot to to get a first down but that’s neither here nor there the point is we don’t really have much success in in the running game right if you take a look at Bree Hall’s
Total numbers the season he has 697 rushing yards with two touchdowns two rushing touchdowns right three games left that means Bree Hall can rush for three straight 100 yard games and still not have a thousand yards to end the season in a 17 Game season that’s crazy
Dvin cook 200 who signed this off season super expensive oneyear $7 million contract 2 17 rushing yards no touchdowns healthy all year again Michael Carter was released when he was with the New York Jets in the early uh section of the Season he had 71 rushing yards no touchdowns
According to hacket and solah the player that was supposed to step in for Michael Carter the reason why the Jets went out and released Carter was to elevate iavan aanda well how’s he doing 18 rushing yards no touchdowns so in other words it’s not on
One player it’s not a one coach this is a collective effort we cannot run the ball and if you take steps backwards and look at this thing right macro perspective big picture plan you know what has been happening in these past couple of years like we’ve been hearing that Joe Douglas has been

Thing we don’t even know we have two out of out of our starting five figured out for next season our starting five went arai in week one so now all of a sudden we have to solidify the starting five and then start loading up behind them right I
Like Carter Warren I you know I have no problems with any of the young the the you know the rookies or anything like that and even guys like Max Mitchell and whatnot we we know who they are um you they’re developmental prospects so that’s that’s the hope that
They that they you know continue to develop as time goes on as time progresses uh you you can’t expect Max Max Mitchell to go in there and play like a top 10 top 15 right tackle it’s just not fair to him that’s just might not that’s not him at this
Point time maybe he is one day but at this point it’s not so again as a win now football team to me it’s bad business to it’s not responsible to roll him out and just say he’s the starting right tackle so figure out the starting five figure out the depth options behind them
We are going to have to invest whether Douglas likes it or not he has to invest money or draft assets frankly both into the offensive line I don’t understand how teams can fix their offensive line at the snap of a finger so let me know your thoughts Down Below in the comment

You either hit or you don't at tackle. There's not a great history of developmental tackles becoming stars. EVER. Why is this myth not moved on from? ( Andrew Thomas the exception. but 1 in 1000000)
I would entertain bringing becton back on a 1 year deal with maybe an option for a second deal. He’s been OK this year and I think is worth bringing back. Especially if we get one of the top tackles in the draft I’d feel comfortable with those 2 guys protecting the edge
Leading up to week 1 we still didn’t know who the starting O-line was going to be. Teams don’t let quality O-linemen get to free agency and the top college players go in the top ten. It’s the hardest part of a team to build.

Laken sucks, Becton he may not be here, Tippman is a the future, AVT has been injury prone the last two years and RT idk Max Mitchell is a developmental piece and after him we have no one we really need to focus on our Oline.

O-Line Problems? You mean this was the offensive line that the Jets were going to protect Aaron Rodgers with this year? This tells me that this team was not ready from game 1 in the Rodgers era.
We MIGHT still have a chance for a playoff spot if Aaron didn’t get injured so quickly. Then again he would have been injured regardless behind this line. And if you can’t run, even when we had a few good passing games, we won’t win much.

It’s not just about bringing in Talent. The Jets need to hire a competent O line coach that develop the line and teach them how to properly block in the NFL

Good O-lines don't just "happen". Historically, they usually take a few years together to gel into a cohesive unit. Hoping a first-year front line patched together in a game of musical chairs like the '24 Jets will be and expecting them to be SB caliber is a pipe dream. Rarely does a rookie OT come in and make a difference. Just look across town at the Giants. Andrew Thomas is very good now, but he struggled as a rookie. Evan Neal from a big-time program like Alabama still hasn't gotten it. The list is endless.
