Head coach has done a very good job with the defense,He is good with these youg player's they like him and are preforming. Lookat the rookies this year? When you have that kind of (tools) sucess in the draft and develope talent these are the keys in taking the North.
Now this team needs to understand why you draft a promising QB every year. Draft in the top 5 you are rolling the dice, not a good thing. So the answer is find a QB guru of your own Let him rule the practice team/Scout team. finding the best way in the playcalling department.
I am really hoping Poles is smart enough to know this decision to keep him has already been made. Even if Fields isn’t the future, the pick is worth so much more than wasting it on a QB when there are so many other holes to fix
Fields career has been guided by a failed head coach(Nagy), a failed head coach(Eberflus), arguably the worst OC in NFL history(Getsy), a complete gutted rebuild, one WR that would be a 1 on other teams in the NFL, and a bad o line. People are shocked he’s not doing as well as Hurts who’s on a completely pro bowl loaded roster and a game plan designed specifically for his skill set. The problem isn’t Fields. Ryan Poles would be stupid to not draft Caleb. You get your QB. You get him on a rookie deal. Let him develop the way you want. Now we have cap space to go out to get really good players to put around him. Also retain our own in house great players. I don’t see Justin Fields taking us to the Super Bowl. Look at the lists of quarterbacks taken in the 1st round and look how many have went on to be studs in the league. At best it is a pig in a poke. In fact look where Tom Brady was drafted. It seems like the Bears can't develop a quarterback, no matter who that is. Better to stick with Justin and see if you can get some more talent around him to help him out. I'm don't think the offensive coordinator is helping him much either.
After 3 years Poles isn't going to be swayed by 3 games. He already knows if he's changing the QB position. No decision should be made over the last 3 games against bad teams when you're eliminated from the playoffs.
Fields is progressively getting better. This is his best season so far. The team is slowly improving. Keep building the team. Upgrade the OC is the most important
