Probably one of my favorite courses on tour and in the country yeah I would have to agree I know I said it in round one and I’m going to say it probably at least two more times but this is home to us very excited here and we have some

New names on our card today that being Bo mlin and Eric D Meer uh they have not really been on our coverage much before we have seen Lucas over Holzer Hess a time or two and obviously MJ is no stranger um tight tight match here going into moving day so really excited to

Jump into hole one one of my favorite starting holes we have these Boulders here pretty early um but you want to just keep something High drifting from left to right through this dog leg to the right uh and then you’re going to see it Narrows up a little bit as we

Approach the green and then we have this beautiful mounded green always catches the sunlight there Alabama mlin I was gonna say coming in with a negative five yesterday um that’s putting up some really solid numbers uh especially for how the rest of the field had done yeah and it’s cool to see uh

Team MVP and I believe he might be a lefty he is a lefty so being a fellow Lefty it’s always cool to see the disc rotate the other way this sets up great for a lefty yeah that didn’t really have the Fate at the end that you’re really looking for

With a leftand backand to get through it looked like he kind of carried a little too far straight yeah this whole really about placement on this first shot it’s very easy to pinch yourself too far to the right if you go too far right and it’s

Very easy to kind of push too straight what we saw bow do and then you end up on the left as a right-handed player I think that the play that I like most is kind of the back can turn over um just because it gives it the option to kind

Of land a little more flat in that Landing Zone whereas if you’re playing really heavy into the forehand um you know you could kind of catch Edge go left or right and like we explained in round one pretty tight over there and if it wasn’t for that little Nick on the tree

I’d say that would have been great line to take Michael Johansson he’s thrown this t-shot a time or two having been a a competitor of this event for many many years and he shows us exactly how to do it oh yeah perfect I I’d say maybe like uh you’d

Probably want like a touch longer um just to secure that better angle and right off the bat we’re seeing some emotion here from Lucas yeah a bit of a Miss throw there let’s see if he can get up and down for par Eric having to go overhand it’s not fun

Over there on the left side and that was great yeah that was pretty clean all these guys kind of hanging around the edge of circle 2 and MJ basically just has to throw another little turnover shot yeah touch turnover which is his specialty he does just that that’s going

To be a nice birdie look great way to start your round I think that’s the smart play yeah and taking par here is fine coming in averaging over par you’re going to take Strokes from the field B going to get up and down for par as well and Eric or Lucas having to

Looks like he’s going to lay up as well and take his medicine good birdie from MJ these cleanups good scoring separation here to start the round couple pars of Birdie bogey but if we know anything about this of course this is literally just the start you there’s so much golf ahead of

You yeah I think the front line is definitely where you need to be attacking because we saw how tight uh the back nine is so you really definitely do want to get every birdie you can up here hold two the first par three the course 380 ft we have a good

Bend right to left couple different lines you can take a nice high heer that’s kind of going to Glide and then finish it’s usually the preferred line out of the righties I’m excited to see what B is going to do MJ kind of ends up where he did the

First time you kind of catch those trees over there stops you about 100 feet short bow catching the tree that a lot of us hit when we play this hole oh boy another early release from Lucas yeah and that right there that’s really tough to be looking at a par you’re

Going to have to throw a great second shot and then have a make a long putt yeah probably about 40 50 out for his par save with some stuff in the way as long as you get to this tree in the Fairway you usually have a pretty

Good look at the basket oh wow that got real close shave to those trees but beautiful approach textbook there from Eric a lot of discs end up over there a lot of discs end up over here as well those are the two zones you kind of end up if you’re not

Getting to the green and we have Eric or luk sorry that’s the second time I caught him Eric sorry Lucas and he definitely needed to take a stab at it there I mean it did uh some of that obstruction did force a straddle yeah yeah not the start you want to see from

Lucas but he’s the type of player where he can rattle off nine birdies coming up and then put himself in the lead type so and Lucas being a Pennsylvania local I mean this is the style of golf that you know he’s really used to so all right hole three another par 4

Coming in at 760 feet the ideal Landing zone is right about where the Drone is now you’re going to see as it bends slightly back to the right and then we have a very tough slant there at the back side of the pin um name of the game is

To finish left more often um if you push too far to the right you’re going to be really real jailed up and a pretty awkward angle where this is going to set MJ up for a very easy approach here yeah great shot from him turning one over into those bushes

Over there to the right kind of where B is heading is like you said jail I think Bo might have gotten a little lucky he hit the earlier shrub and it if it kicked out and he’s in the opening he might be far enough back to still Salvage an angle

Good shot from Eric should be able to find an approach from there and Luc is pushing that all the way down the hill yeah and there should be a uh its own line so it doesn’t look like B fought through really at all on that uh

Bush um kind of leaving him with limited footing wow such a great what line wow that was insane did he filter down to the other side of that slope yeah he’s on the left side there he’s putting for birdie oh my God what a save what w that was one of the best

Shots I’ve seen in a while that was awesome just a big flat forehand Eric’s going to get caught up early let’s see if MJ can get in there just needs to miss this tree yeah that’s a tough spot that’s like kind of layup or go for a distance yeah death putt

Zone and Lucas was so far over to the left that he needs to get tricky with a little Annie forehand smart play that’s not a put you want to run and bow he’s got some Shrubbery in front of him but that is oh my goodness right height just a little off

To the side sometimes the wind does filter down into this little area as well you can see a little bit of dancing of the flag there on the top of the basket yeah it’s not the worst if you get down there on your approach but when

You land on the short side here it’s just so scary to to run that putt that is such a good pars a from bow couple pars for him to start Eric is going to be adding a bogey onto his card couple pars for the Boys N all right we’re back at it hole four another hole that’s I would say considered out in the open uh 675 ft we have this nice bend over here to the right this second shot we have this awesome little tunnel Gap we have to hit it’s kind of you can play Plinko once

You kind of get in there you can throw to the right side and get lucky miss a couple trees and find yourself to the basket there is OB long of the basket so you do have to keep that in mind on your second shot if you have roller that is good

Option MJ gets really far down there kind of took the inside line yeah it’s tough to say how open he’s going to be over there um because it gets a little closed off in comparison to the center of the Fairway that’s a textbook shot from bow that’s exactly where you want to

Land he’s going to be looking right at the basket nice straight shot I like the righty forehand here I think that that’s more of you know playing the flare skip um into the landing zone so you’d want to kind of push that a little further straight before it skips um for ideal placement

Yeah because you want to get right if you end up left it gets real tricky over there trying to get to the basket so as long as you get around these trees here which Eric did not you’re usually you want to get right it opens up that Gap a little

More yeah not quite enough turn there hits a tree kicks left yeah and that’s that’s a tough spot even though he’s only about 100 150 out there’s so many trees between him and the basket and as you could see here MJ is literally a matter of you know a foot

Left or right being significantly blocked off doesn’t matter for him such a good shot MJ’s going to be looking at another birdie for the round and Lucas that’s a good tree yeah he made this look pretty easy and this sets up pretty good for B the

Forehand with a lot of touch yeah that was a touchy shot baring anything crazy I think we should be able to see a three from bow oh oh that hit the I thought that hit the basket for a second but we got ah little cluster everybody kind of gravitated towards this tree

Here Bose in finally gets on the board whole four played well by him Lucas in we should see him start to rev up his engines and rattle a couple more of those off birdie for Michael Joe so he’s got two already on the card hole five is par five coming in at

780 ft ideal placement for your drive is going to be right around this area where the Drone is so that it leaves you a clean angle up into the green which is pretty guarded with relatively good amount of trees here lots of rocks and elevated here on a mound definitely a multi-art

Execution little low and left for MJ so that’s going to take out a lot of the distance that you would love to have here on your first so I just want to bring up on the last hole that was one one of two holes today that played under par just so we

Can put into perspective spoil alert guys this is a tough course uh only two holes out of the day even played under par and that was one of them well just to kind of put it in more perspective B our round one leader shooting a five didn’t get green on the scorecard until

Four holes in right so that really is a testament to where you know we see Lucas here here with two red marks right off the bat so it’s a lot of potential of roller coaster where we said it a lot yesterday par is very good here yeah MJ’s a little short but he

Still has a good line here to hit Fades a little bit to the left and that’s kind of the theme of this course in this whole in particular could be one or two feet one way or the other and it really changes your angle I’d say your approach you

Definitely want to finish more on the right side um kind of into that clearing there a little bit yeah a lot less trees to worry about over there yeah like this is pretty good from meric overall yep behind that cluster there but that’s right in the middle I mean

And that’s all you have to do on your second shot you don’t need to bite off too much if you land right where Lucas did it really sets you up for your third shot as this is what can happen out here yeah I mean if you can if you can

Give yourself a stressfree approach just into the green you have a very lowrisk birdie uh shot yeah B is going to be putting for par looks like he’s just inside the circle MJ not not with enough room there for a full swing you saw he kind of

Guarded that swing a little bit choked choked up on it a tiny bit and Lucas trying to get another bird he’s kind of down there with bow he’s probably looking at about a 20 30f footer splitting the trees going right at it yeah and he pushed farther than I

Thought he was in a great spot yeah and he I mean he has a stressfree next shot into the basket MJ giving it a good little bid I like this hole because you can get aggressive and run it we’ve seen people throw it in in the past little low but green nonethe

Good to see here Lucas picking it back up yeah looks like he’s going to find the surface and get himself back to even little discussion there from the card mates on exactly what you can and can’t do when you have a a weird lie like that great par from bow

Eric also finding himself back to even for the round our card played this whole well we’re going to go into hole six another Par Four 625 ft you want to throw a shot that’s going to finish to the left but you don’t want to go too far left because you’re going to cut

Yourself off with these wall of trees over here um your second shot is going to be a shot that’s going to go from left to right so another little Serpentine style hole nice little s shape here this first shot it’s very easy to just push it too straight and end up

Right as Lucas finds the early tree this too far straight yeah yep that’s common to happen I also think that this is one of the this is a good example of a hole where you’re not trying to bite off a ton off the te uh I think the more

Important shot is your second so really like because it’s not too too far to get into the ideal Landing Zone to give yourself a nice straight line into the green yeah like where MJ just landed I would say is I would be happy with that there’s nothing wrong with that and so

This with a big flare he may find himself in some blockage territory from those cluster of trees and rocks and Lucas doing just about all he can there still has some work to get up and down for par this is such a tight line with those

Trees there to the left and then you have the trees on on the right that come in but pretty good from him I would say a lot of people land over there and we saw MJ make a shot from there yesterday yeah I was just going to recall um that damn

Near identical shot from him yesterday Eric having to get creative does not look like it pans out for him the roller is a risky play here at Iron Hill um regardless of the hole I mean there is just a lot of stuff just wedged into the Fairway that something that you may not

Notice from where your position is could you know severely alter the direction of the disc it’s a little unpredictable if B was just 10 feet over there to the right he would had a much different approach and really made it tough for him there then Eric having to Go little touchy forehand still has some work though to save his par oh yeah I think that is the exact spot MJ was because didn’t he split those trees yep oh that was awesome it’s a good par sa from Lucas yeah as the roller coaster is beginning

For Eric it’s looking like another bogey on his scorecard great puff from MJ I love the look down before it even hits the chains from MJ I think that’s just such a baller move good scoring Separation on this hole as well maybe I need to save one for the

Next drive time delay dude that’s a courtesy violation that’s a stroke you’re down by three now potty m [Applause] all right whole S one of my favorites here Par 3 at 370 ft a lot of people like what you said yesterday feel like you have to just push further to the

Right and that’s usually not the case something straight little flippy if you’re throwing a backhand turnover um it’s going to filter there down you know maybe pin High to the left of the basket missed that last tree oh now if you do Tri drift too far to

The right there is another line there um that meets up to where the green is looks like Lucas gets caught up early plays downhill so don’t have to put a ton of muscle on it and it looks like B might end up kind of where you were talking about that was a

Little short and early and yeah yeah I think it filtered much further than he thinks it did yeah should be an easy par oh that seemed like an early release there from Eric yeah I would say no one here really probably getting how they wanted maybe

MJ just caught a tree late but no one really throwing the shot that they wanted oh I love the attempt yeah that was tricky approach there for Lucas yeah look where look where he he filtered down to oo and TX medal too tricky spot for Michael Joe

Leaves a little bit there but shouldn’t be an issue for him but as we saw in round one this is a very common landing area for most of the field just inside the circle for MJ automatic I just love when a course forces backhand dominant players into

Needing a forehand right like it really shows like that this sport should require you to have a little bit of everything in your uh Swiss army knife of your game you know no yeah I agree kind of like on bow on whole six like he

Went too far left and then he had to throw like a backhand turnover and that might not be his best shot compared to throwing like a forehand or something like that and it’s just this type of course makes you literally pull every type of shot out of your bag at one

Point or another in this round and this is a hole that would do that hole eight second par five of the course 780 ft really tough footing here so many rocks to contend with uphill the whole way slight Serpentine we got going on we can kind of make our way and progress down

The right side of the Fairway I mentioned yesterday the underbrush here is not too bad so you can get aggressive and progress if you do end up a little bit off the Fairway uh this hole I would say is the best at that if you’re going to miss your line

You want to miss right um if you miss left it actually slopes more down hill once you get into that tree line um so it’s very easy to get yourself walled off to where you’re going to take your medicine throw a lateral shot to get back on the Fairway and pick up from

There right so um whereas on that side like we saw yesterday plenty of room to progress um and no one really making it happen here shout out to Chris Villa on the bag here for Lucas I thought that was him yeah local Legend to the area you may uh recognize him from

The battle he had a couple years ago at proas Worlds longtime friend of gatekeeper media wow that was a great shot there from Eric that is one way to get a bounce back he’s going to have to execute one more shot but he is really far down

There that was a great shot from MJ as well getting around the corner talking about the utility every shot in the bag I mean like that he says he has a serviceable forehand but to be honest the touch on that placed it perfectly he’s lying we’ we’ve hung out with him enough we

Know he’s got a better forehand than he portrays he’s just a very modest person right like definitely a ray of sunshine to have around when you’re out here during a round B getting a little stopped up early he’s going to have a long look for birdie MJ trying to get into the green

For his birdie putt looks like he’s going to get caught up early and on a raised basket here it does make it a little more tricky wow what a shot from Lucas he has been all over this Fairway starting on the right side gets over to the left and puts together a great

Shot that’s tough for meric after having such a great shot on his second B had the right height there on that just not enough power started to fade right before the basket H just a tad right there for Eric yeah we’re going to see a couple pars come through

Here this hole came in at 01 over par so basically right at par which is interesting because when you look at the scoring separation not a lot of the field took pars so it’s a good set like a good mix of birdie par and bogey on this hole unfortunate bogy there with a

Splash out for B hole nine Par Four coming in at 555 ft pretty tight there off the te you’re going to want to land right about where the Drone is now but it’s going to dog leg over to the right have a little bit of an undulation in the hill here

All filtering down into a bowl where the green sits um but as you can see here you know there’s it’s a little bit of a wavy Fairway um quite honestly one of my favorite to film as there is a pretty large rock formation behind the te um that gives a pretty good vantage

Point but not a lot of room behind the te if you’re one that needs a run up man Lucas has such a nice forehand that is perfect you can throw it kind of straight what MJ did and still have a good look on your second shot or you can

Get a little more aggressive like what Lucas did and then this is the miss you don’t want yeah every once in a while you see someone get lucky where they cut the corner off and it just doesn’t get hit by anything thing but that is not something you should be planning

For yeah this sets up really good for bow wow such a lefty friendly course I love this course a lot of left to right finishing holes or dog legs I should say yeah Eric’s deep in the thick of it here doesn’t really have anything other than an overhand shot progressor pretty great

Wow man Eric has been scrambling his butt off that’s like not far outside the circle there yeah he’s inside Circle two MJ funneling right down to the basket Lucas getting caught up there keeps him inside the circle there’s not a lot of rocks near the

Green so it is pretty easy to skip too far if you get unlucky and miss some of these trees be looking at us Circle two putt oh man what a birdie save that would have been and Lucas back on the board gets himself back to even the roller coaster continues

And bow for his birdie finds it as well so our card playing this whole really well bunch of birdies in a par but this is just the beginning we’re only halfway through and in my opinion the course gets much harder here coming to the back

Nine so we’re going to take a look at the scores One More Time Michael Johansson the only one without taking a bogey here on this front nine everyone else finding a blemish here or there but man I am so excited this course brings so much entertainment how you feeling

Finishing this out uh I’m very excited to see how the our leaders at the moment attack the back nine cuz like you said it gets a little dicey back there and uh you know par is good we’re going to keep saying it folks but thanks for tuning in
