As did I and we were all right about that one uh and so let’s do it let’s start talking about these games there’s no by- weeks I’m I I’ll tell you what Jim I’m going to call an audible a little bit here I’m going to ask you

About teams and matchups and how things are going to go and stuff they’re just a lot of stinky teams looking at all this I’m going to ask you for each game whether the team stinks some I won’t ask you for some of them because it’s obvious but there’s a lot of them that

They they might really really really stink and I mean stink like the thing the thing is this year Jim I will maintain that being like the 21st best team in the NFL which normally you’d go that’s kind of middle class that’s kind of like this year if you’re the 21st

Team in the NFL you’re bad yeah true it’s a it’s a league of thirds and um I always think about the league in sections of 10 um no but seriously I I agree the bottom is bad this year so yes yeah and and maybe not even the bottom

The middle is kind of bad this year I it’s it’s about the quarterbacks right there’s just a lot of backup quarterbacks but uh I I let’s get started we we by example we’re going to talk about the Saints and the Rams on Thursday night Derek Carr wins another

Game once again makes me look dumb for doubting him because he’s great the numbers were fantastic so that means D I’m being told that Derek Carr had like 60 yards passing at halftime and the Saints looked dead in the water against the Giants for half that game they’re

Coming here to Los Angeles uh I’ll just ask you right off the top are the Saints a bad team yes I hate to say it because I was higher on them than most uh coming in this year but yeah they’re bad they’re bad yeah they’re bad are the Rams a bad

Team no not they’re middle they’re that middle that bandwidth that that Middle Lane that that nobody really drives in so yeah all right so now let’s move on no uh uh what what is it was it about the Rams that make you go they’re a little bit

Better than bad well they they they have obviously they have like some like top heavy Talent that’s like how they’re built but it shows up enough you know like Cooper cup Help win the game Stafford can still make crazy Stafford plays um they patched work things well

In a way you know like we we we we all no one can name anybody who plays in the secondary for the Rams it’s like the Rams secondary coach forgets their names but they Patchwork things well so I just think that they get it done they’re they’re in the infinite 500 like yeah

Not so infinite this year yeah no so the bar is lower this year like you mentioned but I just on a neutral field picking the teams I think they’re a better team than the Saints which they shouldn’t be I mean they really shouldn’t be like roster wise they

Shouldn’t be the Saints are the ones who flout the salary cap and they’re the ones with bigger names and yet I mean it’s Derek Carr I I really think with if switch the quarterbacks on these teams Stafford goes to New Orleans Carr goes to the Rams who who’s who’s better oh

The Saints yeah yeah and it’s we I don’t think it’s close and he’s not that Transcendent of a player but it’s the it’s it’s the replacement level thing that that Carr is a costly player so he’s bad he’s bad all right well we’re gonna pick We’re not gonna talk about

This game anymore because because we’re all gonna have to watch it oh my God but uh it is it is Rams minus four what are you thinking well one I was thinking about how like Derek car probably has two locker rooms for like each body part that’s falling off but um literally he’s

Incredible that he keeps playing uh so who do I like in this game I like the Rams yeah I also will be on the Rams minus four I mean you know of course the Sans are supposed to be worse that’s why they’re not favored but I’m still still

Going to be on the Rams all right so there’s a couple Saturday games will start out with uh the Bengals with a backup quarterback against the Steelers with actually we don’t know if it’s the backup quarterback but if it’s Kenny picket back as of our recording this we

Don’t know I guess they’ve left the door open otherwise it’s Rudolph and not Mitch trabis but no matter what it’s a backup quarterback am I correct you are yeah Mason Rudolph also sounds like a paint company um but yeah like I have no interest in like this is this is like

Pulling the Chris I would love to avoid this game but I’m not going to do that um I don’t think it matters that much who’s behind center for the Steelers like they just are bad on offense just who they are so and and and okay we think their Steeler defense usually is

Pretty good I guess maybe not when they lose three safeties in a game as they did last week uh so are the Pittsburgh Steelers a bad team they are I believe they’re bad yeah yeah I probably agree with you but are the Cincinnati Bengals

A bad team no I don’t why um I just I guess they’ve proven that they can keep an offense going even with replacement level players whereas like this is actually who they want the Steelers want Kenny picket like Jake Brown just was a guy and look like Browning got has been

Exposed at times but they’re pretty good at like hiding him I don’t know if they called Sean Payton but they’re like good at scheming things for him and we’ve said this before they have like a they have a they have a a prior knowledge or

Whatever they have a way to like get it together they just do they play they play like a playoff team even if if if they look bad sometimes so yeah I mean they were getting crushed in that Vikings game and I felt so smart that

Was my best bet last week and it wind up being a push but um I don’t know Jake if if uh Mason Rudolph sounds like a paint company Jake Browning is something your frat brother does on a sunny day like I don’t think it’s any better he’s like

He’s like the 17th best place kicker Jake Brown that’s the name yeah uh I’m gonna answer the Bengals are a bad team no Jamar Chase in this game either I’ll tell you what I think probably the Steelers do something steery and just like you know they probably shouldn’t be

A home dog against Jake Browning and so I’ll just it’s two points and you know it feels like you’re picking the game but like at least if if the Bengals only win by one then at least I I I win but I’m going to be on Steelers plus two

Here I I feel like you’re the other way around yeah I am and I also fear that Mike tomlin’s GNA do something like take away Christmas from them or something like do something like very Pittsburgh you know so there is a fear of of a ploy but like I’m taking how about George

Thing um at the same time I’m giving the points I had it 12 which is very close but I recenty bias we talked about it last week with the Jets it can be dangerous with the bills too because see the thing with the thing with the AFC is

There’s such a void in like leadership in like contending that like it’s very easy to become the top Contender right away like I’ve I’ve heard many people this week on football podcast say that the bills are the best team in the AFC and I don’t know what that means but I

Also don’t think it’s wrong like they’re dangerous well I think you know what it means it means is a vacuum but like that that their best is is is special but it’s like their Floor bad too so yeah I mean is there is there a world maybe where they get some of the

Do the what’s the path to the Jets taking advantage of the commander defense I think they’re going to play such good defense that is that they’re going to ask for points like from like from they’re going to call Goodell and be like can we you get three points we

The one time I thought he looked good was the road Eagles game we both thought so he looked fantastic in that game but I really have have not thought even with all that volume that he’s been very good otherwise he’s Baker Mayfield that’s what he is he’s Baker Mayfield but like

You know the Lions defense even with uh old chony who you have a biased toward because he used to wear a wing on his helmet uh I I I I do still doubt that defense but so you’re going to be given three and a half yes I am yeah I’m

Giving Road coins which is always smart yeah so yeah no I mean I feel like that always works out uh so far I have three home dogs right I don’t like any of those teams but maybe I don’t think the Vikings are quite as bad as you do uh

The Cleveland Browns are tring to the Houston Texans and the Texans will once again not have CJ strad who we both really really like and it’s going to probably be Case Keenum again and I think maybe if overtime had gone differently it wouldn’t be Case Keenum again because he didn’t really do

Anything he certainly was not the same game plan for the Texans with Case Keenum as opposed to CJ strad we don’t know if the receivers are there we don’t know much about the Texans as of our recording this but I’ll ask you are the Cleveland Browns good yes yeah yeah

Their defense is so good that it can make things happen but the rest is ugly it’s hard to say that team’s good with Joe Flaco but I don’t know they’re okay yeah they’re they can scare you they can win games so yeah all right and and the

Houston Texans if stoud were in there I would not be asking the question but with Stroud out now you’re getting to see sort of you know what it would have looked like with Davis Mills they never drafted him it’s It’s a Wonderful Life except it’s a terrible life because you

Wake up and you have C Davis Mills as your quarterback uh as currently constituted in week 16 with no CJ strad are they terrible are they bad yeah they’re bad right now like it’s it’s it’s it’s the juice from the it’s the juice from the skill players like

Everybody’s hurt um it’s always it’s already a patchwork defense I just don’t think they’re I think without strout he holds up so much of what they do so if you’re telling me he’s out and that I know that they have a couple injuries in the secondary that I’m going to probably

Say they’re bad so yeah all right I mean I think I disagree I think I I think in that Ram so yeah I mean yeah I yeah I’m not going to put him at the top without Stout I’m not going to put him in the top 10 or whatever and I think this

Potentially crushes their this is tough playoff possibilities but they’re good they’re good they’re good they’re good they’re good they’re good they’re good no because because I thought about how many teams there are there’s so many teams redo the wait wait hold on hold on

Redo the sound okay we got it we got the so there’s so many bad teams like they’re above the no but that’s the point of the that’s the point of the exercise we’re not ranking them right right we’re saying who’s who’s bad no but cont okay I’m gonna take your at no

Context are they bad or good because we’re not talking relative to the rest of the league because like I said the 21st best team in the league normally you’d say they’re okay and this year they’re freaking horrible so uh but anyway all right so uh sure the Browns

Defense is good um I don’t know it’s another one last week I felt hard done by wound up being a push I felt like the Bears obviously I think the Bears were the better in that game am I wrong no they were and again I keep like I know

He has his ugly moments but I’m continually impressed by Fields lately so right well we’ll get we’ll get to him in a second but like as far as the Browns go like that’s that’s pulling a victory out of nowhere I mean uh all right so anyway I I’ll just say I think

These teams are pretty close and and once again I’m gonna be on a road dog I’m G I’m giving the I’m I’m I’m taking Cleveland I’m giving the points so yeah we are we are just we just do not share a philosophy this week on the road favorites do we well the opposite

Philosophy yeah that’s good we do not share that philosophy all right Packers they’re visiting the Panthers uh the Panthers are terrible and trying as we say every week terrible and trying because they don’t have their first pick so this is actually how bad they are they’re trying their best uh the

Packers I’m just shaking my head for those listening and not watching I’m just shaking my head are the Packers a bad team oh my God that’s so tough yeah it’s like it’s like I so this is so hard I think they’re bad I think everyone’s bad I think they’re bad think they’re

Bad I know well that that’s the point of the exercise I I I go through the league and I go okay cool what does it mean when 15 teams are bad they’re they’re basically the Saints without good food like like you know clip it they have first rounders everywhere

And they’re just like not that good so I mean the defense last week was horrible like the you can’t blame Jordan love for last week he played fine he was good Tampa’s defense is is you know middle of the road it’s fine it was the Green Bay

Defense oh my God they couldn’t stop a nose bed like it was insane I couldn’t believe the box score after like I I and then I went back to watch the game because I wrote it up this week for for ESPN profiles and I was like wait what

It just kept happening like they just kept getting burnt and it was it wasn’t like matriculation it was like big shots they just kept getting beat so well you know it was a combination of it was Chris Godwin with like seven yard crosses against linebackers and they

Would just go dink dink dink dink again again and then one play like you know it’s DeAndre Campbell and who’s the other one the other middle linebacker I forgot but anyway for Green Bay yeah Green Bay I don’t know he has a good he has a

Good name but I don’t remember I don’t remember it I’ll tell my head but anyway he couldn’t cover Chris Godwin I’ll tell you that neither one of them and then you’re right then someone finally would go maybe we’ll stop that guy boom 30 yard pass yeah quay quay is who you me

So oh yeah yeah yeah Quay Walker um good name you have to admit good great name if you if you’d had a son I think you would have named him Quay it’s like a isn’t a Quay like a thing in the water or something what is the Quay like it is

A thing in the water it is water yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah that’s my qu over there yeah yeah you you two’s got any quays uh okay well I mean we know the Panthers are bad we don’t have to play the sound I’ll play the sound play the
