More responsibility as this year has gone on and him and Pat have been able to you know up to this point even uh create a great relationship and a a great you know Common Ground uh on in in big key moments too I’m talking about
Third Downs when we need it most I think his games are going to keep growing and I think coach Reed does a great job with uh young players uh I know because he he helped me out a lot as as a young player but he’s he’s going to keep putting
Rashi in great places and great positions to have success in utilizing his skills skill sets moving forward man and I’m just happy for him that he’s finally you know I don’t know it just seems like he’s taken a lot of lot more ownership definitely throughout the week
And uh during the games and man I’m uh I’m excited as hell for him yeah he’s he’s having a tremendous season um he’s also second in most receptions in franchise history by a rookie with 68 trailing only one receiver was 70 uh in their rookie year which we both
Are very aware of which is Dwayne Bo Somewhere over the Dwayne Bo baby that’s my [ __ ] dog right there he was a beast when we were just coming into the league you know it the pride of LSU the pride of uh South Florida man
That’s uh it’s one of my it’s one of my favorite teammates of all time man I was it killed me to see him go to Cleveland um but I I’ll tell you what man he did an unbelievable job my first couple years it just fueling me with confidence
To be myself uh come into the building and be myself don’t be uptight even though it is a serious job and uh anybody can get hurt man you just got to have fun every single day and Debo did he had more fun than anybody and uh he definitely he he fueled everybody around
Him man well uh Rashid rice was not the only one to have a big game jet McKinnon and Clyde Edwards hair looked like it was the backs were getting involved in this one man GBC yeah man good good brother Clyde oh yeah he went he went
Airborne for a touchdown go ahead I saw that yeah jet finished with a not only one receiving touchdown but a passing touchdown that’s right um the play that everybody is talking about that Andy somehow how got from a black and white footage from what what year did he say
It was from 1940s he uh it’s so funny in introducing these plays because it’s always from a TV copy of a game that you really like you can barely see where the guys are lined up and when you press play it just looks like commotion it
Just looks like shit’s going on and you really don’t know where the ball is because the picture just isn’t that clear you know when he installed it we were everybody was in their head like that plays definitely going to work like 100% guaranteed going to work um love
Having those ones in and we’ve we’ve had it we’ve had we’ve been working on it for the probably the past 10 weeks I would assume thinking about where we are in the season let marinate making sure that you’re making sure we got that thing ready for all the different looks
That could possibly happen you know what I mean yeah and then just at the right time you know and sure enough um we’ve been handing it off the entire time and for some reason jet decided to toss it I’ve never seen that he wanted the passing TD he’s like hey
If I toss this I get a passing touchdown I’m going have to ask jet he’s got some improv to him uh I’ve I’ve tossed him a few laterals in my day um that he’s he’s been on the receiving end uh so he can definitely uh he can def definitely
Improv a little bit but um I’m GNA have to ask him exactly what happened on why he tossed this yeah and if it’s for the passing touchdown I mean I respect it sir I respect it you got to get that on the stats well whatever made him toss it
It worked with a minute 30 left in the first quarter it’s first and goal Pat is crouched down next to Jet who is behind Creed Humphrey and takes the snap oh wait no takes the direct snap from Joe Toney not Creed oh my gosh I didn’t even

Are the kind of plays that you need in a in a tight game and a tough game like that where it’s hard to score in the red zone and uh Clyde coming up with one of the best catches of the season so far man well the defense dominated again as
Usual um another big game holding the pass to just 17 points finished with four sacks seven tackles for loss and an interception linebacker Willie gay intercepted Bailey zappy Zappy’s first that’s his first name is Bailey uh yeah interesting all right uh returned 24 yards all the way to the seven yard line
This was wiie Gay’s first int this season the Chiefs are able to immediately capitalize with a touchdown and the defense is now ranked number four in the league right now per Fox Sports for whatever that’s worth um I guess it means that they’re just uh playing really really good football well
You can tell you can tell because uh Team aren’t putting up a lot of points we’ve been talking about it all year Spagnola is Ian he’s doing such a fantastic job all they all play so well together there’s great players across the board um it really is one of the
Best team defenses in the NFL this year and uh it’s been you know one of the storylines I think was I don’t want to say unexpected but I think you know when you think of the Chiefs you think about the high-scoring offense Andy Reid Pat
Momes so this has been one that I think uh you know people have been surprised with a little bit uh but I’m sure you guys not so much not so much yeah I mean these obviously we’re uh we’re starting to get a little bit more healthy than we’ve been in the
Past couple weeks getting uh my guy Bolton back getting Drew tranquil back um and Will’s been in there playing his tail off flying around uh and him getting a interception this week is just rewarding him for how many plays he’s been making in the Run game man this
Dude is he’s is absolute Beast flying around you know on top of our defensive secondary man can’t say enough about them uh just the way they’re keeping everything in front making teams Drive the ball downfield you don’t see a lot of big plays if it does happen it
Happens one time and we get it fixed um and uh that’s what that’s what you want out of a defense man the kind of the bend don’t break defense um come up in big key situations with huge sacks or huge uh tip passes and deflect the passes and um just makes it really
Uncomfortable for an offense to to try and move the ball down the field and we’re uh we’re lucky that the that that spags got those guys playing [ __ ] outstanding right now man spags was not the only uh heralded defensive coach in attendance for this game you ran into
Coach bellich on the field after the game there’s a picture of you guys shaking hands and it looks like you guys may have spoken to each other uh you want to share what you guys talked about what what what did the old ball coach tell you I just mentioned how much how
Much I respect him and how much it’s always is the biggest challenge I I go up against in the National Football League is going up against one of his defenses and I just wanted to make sure he uh he heard that from my mouth man because it’s uh it’s been a pleasure
Going up against him all these years and got asked after the game if you know did I feel like it was going to be the last time or anything like that and I was honestly I was just going up to him to pay respect you know over the the 10
Years that I’ve been going up against him um you know how much I I appreciate the challenge every single time yeah and hats off to him for for always being you know that great but it’s uh they asked me if it was the last I’m just like I
Don’t it might not be here whatever the situation is going on here might not be it but I think that guy’s got some football left in him yeah I don’t know what’s going to happen and to yeah I know this he’s I me he’s one of the best
Football coaches of all time you know he’s right up there with all of them you know I don’t think people really really truly realize how uh how good he is as a coach how smart he is how creative he is how detailed those defenses are how good
Of a leader he is you know the intangibles you know what I mean he gets the best out of everybody that plays for him I mean he’s such a phenomenal coach it’s it’s weird hearing things that you know are being said you know it’s it’s hard to imagine a guy of that stature
Not being coveted by anybody in the NFL yeah lastly you were also seen with another person walking off the field cadarius Tony got your arm around him you had obviously you know another unfortunate drop he had a drop I had a drop I was right there just telling him you know I
Got to we we both got to be better man and everything else that I said can be between us man I said everything I needed to say last week and I’m still on board and firm with my you know convictions yeah sure if that’s the word
Um with everything that I said man I’m on I still believe everything that I said and sure enough we uh we didn’t play our best and we still came out with a 10-point victory man and uh and that’s the good part of the NFL that you can

Losing three in a row but uh yeah definitely the way you guys lost it man that was that was a heartbreaker any initial thoughts you know obviously frustrating yeah losing sucks man it really does you know we’re not playing to the way we’re capable of playing you know I think it’s it’s one
Thing when you lose and you know you’re just not as talented I think as the other teams and you know I you know I’ve said this the last three weeks and I still think so I think we have great players I really do I think we have
Great coaches um it’s just not clicking right now and um when you’re losing consecutive games it is it is you know it’s it’s it’s not fun I mean this game is only fun when you’re winning and um you know that’s when you you got to come even closer together to fight through
The adversity to to to get it corrected to play up to the standard and to the ability that each and every one of us can play and it’s just it’s uncharacteristic or what was uncharacteristic I guess of earlier in the season you know just early in the season the reason we
Were 10 to1 is because we were we were smart football team down the stretch we were we took care of the football we did things right and um you know obviously you know myself included we have not been disciplined enough we haven’t executed especially in crucial moments
Of the game and it’s frustrating it’s really frustrating but all you can do is go back and work man yeah I have Solace that I know for a fact we got great players and that we can play a hell of a lot better than what we’ve put on tape
Last few weeks so uh look forward to uh continuing to work on that this week well like you said it’s and it’s more it’s spotty you know it’s not that you guys are playing just absolutely terrible the whole game you guys are have big- time drives where it looks
Like you guys are all in sync and it’s just working great and I’m both offense and defense yeah but like you said it’s kind of just putting it all together and I always kind of looked at a lot of the uh the Tom Brady teams um at you you
Always you always saw saw them in critical situations just find a way whatever it was you know grind out a first down on a third and shorter a third and long find a way to keep the ball moving get out of bounds in two minute when it’s needed when it came
Down to situational football they were pretty Flawless man and I it doesn’t matter how crazy the game can get if you’re within a score in the fourth quarter it’s going to come down to situational football and how locked in you are and um that’s the that’s the
Biggest thing man and and I I think that’s kind of a struggle when you have younger players or you have new players um or you have new coaches or whatever it may be you got to [ __ ] learn with the guys that you have and you got to
You got to keep finding new ways to do it because teams are going to look at your track record and they’re going to look at the scheme that you that you’ve had or how you won games in those situations before and use that against you so it’s just it’s keep building
Every single year and every single game and uh sometimes it takes a tough loss like that to to grind gr out uh some some or iron out some wrinkles during the week and uh and get back on in the groove man yeah prior to the game it
Came out a few days before the game that Matt Patricio uh would now be calling it defensive plays for the Eagles sha desid is a fantastic coach yeah um it’s it’s been awesome having him here and bouncing things off of each other going up against him in training camp figuring
Out his defenses and trying to having that competition with each other of like blitzes and different fronts and how are we attacking it you know I have so much respect for Shawn um ultimately obviously the organization you know Nick F was in the best interest of the team
To move forward with Matt call plays um but that doesn’t take away any amount of respect that I have for Shawn Desa I can tell you that right now yeah I know he’s a talented coach I’m pretty sure i’ I’ve been a part of a OC change have you the
Year uh before naggie got got hired in Chicago coach Reed kind of handed the play calling over to naggie and that was a big reason remember that was a big reason why I don’t know if it ever got leak though he got hired I’m pretty sure
That was a big reason like he’s ready to because he’s called plays and we’ve had success yeah so I’m not sure but at the end of the day you know sometimes you just need a switch up man if you feel like you’re stuck in the mud or you know
You can’t get out of it or you seem you feel like you’re just getting schemed up sometimes it’s it’s better to just you know switch it up for for a bit or um see how somebody else does calling it and um and that’s that’s the Battle of coaching man that’s the that’s and
That’s exactly what you go through sometimes I mean when you play as poorly as we did against the 49ers and Dallas you know no matter what your record is before that coaches are you know we got to get this corrected and um yeah for whatever reason um you know Nick felt
Like there was a change that he wanted to make and you know that’s the way it goes you know I think when you perform the way you do uh you know decisions like that get made well it was also reported uh a couple days before the game that jayen was sick and dealing
With a little bit of an in illness and even uh flew to Seattle on a separate plane yep which is very interesting uh were you surprised he was able to go when he sick on Saturday and he you know couldn’t practice you know guys get sick
Usually it’s like a day thing you know it’s like H he’ll be back you know then when he was still sick the next day I’m like oh man I don’t know what going to happen uh so we were kind of preparing for both situations um I think in the
Back of everybody’s head knowing the competitor that Jaylen is we all expected him to play He Ain’t Gonna Miss no game that boy loves the ball man that guy ain’t gonna [ __ ] miss a game over some sickness yeah but I mean you got to be wearing white pants and [ __ ] all
Day for being another one to go out there even then you know what I’m saying you got to make it do what it do yeah so I think we all expected Jaylen to play just because of the type of competitor and the guy that he is um but we were
Ready to go if if he couldn’t go you know Marcus was Mariota was prepared and um you know got work with him throughout those couple days there let’s just talk some postgame quotes here coach sirani uh in quotes saying that we just needed to pull away in that game and we didn’t
Yeah there were um uncharacteristic things situationally and fundamentally and we have to be critical of ourselves starting with myself that’s always a good sign anytime the fundamentals are off you got to look right at me for that and that’s how you take accountability as a coach and I I remember last week uh
Matt nagie seeing the exact same thing in the building to the offense saying you know what let’s just get back to some fundamentals some key fundamentals it sounds High School hairy it sounds like it’s the easiest thing it doesn’t sound like it’s going to fix a lot of
Problems but essentially it is it’s going to let you focus in on smaller things separate the the entire grand scheme of things uh into like certain uh points and it’s just you know I think it’s uh it’s it’s something that sounds very simple but uh can mean a lot man
Yeah no I’m with you I think um I think a lot of times you know everybody works on fundamentals but I think you know especially in the NFL you get focused on these highlevel you know aspects of the game or these things that you know like out scheming people doing whatever
And um you know really the thing that allows you to be successful is the fundamentals that’s what allows each and every person to uh be successful on the play and do their job and it’s real when I tell you I’ve been in the league [ __ ] 11 years and as the season goes
On you don’t get as many reps which means you aren’t practicing the fundamentals or as many of the fundamentals as you had been during training camp over the summer leading up to the first couple weeks in the season you just don’t get all those reps to run
All the routes to get all the looks in the Run game yeah so you either got to take that accountability on yourself or you just got to be a pro and focus on the little things and kind of break up an entire play into like small increments of uh of different focuses or
What you’re focusing on it’s being a prom man and trying to sometimes just getting back to the fundamentals is uh is everything you need uh jaylen’s also quoted in saying we didn’t execute I didn’t think we were all committed enough uh just got to turn it around and
This is a challenge we have to embrace that’s what the attitude you have to have I think you know when you’re not performing as a team when you’re not winning games the only thing you can do is go back and work that much more go back and commit yourself that much
Harder yeah we have great people in the building we have people that want to win I know that there’s no question in my mind about that for me the the commitment comment you know that’s that’s all you can do is recommit yourself even more than you already are
Re you know I think that at the end of the day all you can do is go back and work go back and focus on the fundamentals focus on where you’re making mistakes as an individual focus on how you can help your teammate assist your teammate be
Where you need to be bring energy you know I think all these things uh in the grand schema thing add up to you and your teammates playing better if everybody has that mindset you know and I think that um you know when you when you when you approach it with uh with
Intention and approach it with uh with the seriousness that it needs to be approached with um generally things get corrected I’m on board with that well let’s let’s uh let’s hit the game a little a little bit here um you guys got off to a solid start with two long eight
And a half minute drives in the first half yep I know how that feels you guys kept us off the field as an offense when we guys played you guys but that led to a 10 and0 uh lead the uh worst lead in football at half but Seattle responded
In the second half holding you guys to Seven Points yeah what was Seattle doing on defense to to really disrupt the uh the Rhythm you know listen Seattle played a good game obviously um not trying to I’m not taking anything away from them I think that we just didn’t
Execute and you know I look at things intrinsically intrinsically that was a good word they played a lot of shell they played a lot of quarters they’re trying to take away the big play keep everything in front of them make us Dink and dunk make us run the football and
That’s why you had the two long drives in the first half uh because that’s what they were giving us right they’re giving us all the underneath stuff and we took it and we capitalized on it should have been 14 points and we’re going to get to
That in a second my false start was crucial you know it ended up being a big reason why we didn’t uh win the game it’s it and you know I gotta eat that they the league just won’t let the brotherly shove be great man I got nobody to blame they’re harping on this
I time you guys get in that formation they are they are yeah but I know that I know that and I have been warned about this because in years past I had been known to move the ball up I really have not done that that much this year right
I’m not trying to do it you stole a good two feet right there I I don’t know about two feet I think it might a Ball’s length I don’t mean to be funny about normally when you’re getting down you know the problem was I set my feet too
Close to the ball so when I’m trying to get a forward lean I move the ball a little bit too far I get it and it’s the right call I mean it was really stupid you know put my hands on the ball first then set my feet then I guarantee that
That Call’s not going to happen we didn’t even need a full yard for the first down um so yeah I mean it was just it’s beyond stupid that’s tough you know and myself included you know this has kind of been the entire team to a certain extent over the last three games
You know up until the Bills game I think I had one penalty on the season since then I’ve had four or five false starts you know what I mean and including this play and they’ve all been in crucial situations the Bills game down the stretch almost cost us this one cost us
Three points or four points which ultimately you know is the difference in the game yeah you know when we were 10 And1 we were just collectively operating on a much more consistent situationally aware smart football team this is not smart this is stupid this is really stupid and it was unnecessary because
The play was still going to work so I I just gotta be I got to be better than that back to what Seattle was doing I mean that was their name of the game they wanted to make us you know they they wanted to take away the big play we
Had some big runs but they definitely took away some of our our explosive passes I feel like that’s been the entire league everybody’s been kind of playing that style of Defense because it’s just the safe way to do it yeah I don’t know it it can get frustrating it
Get tough but at the end of the day you just got to turn into that grind mentality kind of team you know you just gota you gotta get you gotta have ownership and have pride in being a team that’s just G to be just going to grit
You out we’re just going to find ways to keep getting first Downs whether it’s third and short third and long whether you know and just keep finding ways to get the ball down the field and get a fresh set of downs yeah even though that’s frustrating I’ll tell you what
When you win a game when you’re just doing that it is [ __ ] it’s just a gratifying feeling man yeah well down down to the wire the Eagles uh get the ball back with 28 seconds and they’re uh their timeouts but the drive ends on an interception with a deep pass I’m not
Going to lie man I was watching the game sitting there like I just got a feeling jaylen’s going to [ __ ] just dial some dial some [ __ ] up right here they’re playing prevent he could use his legs well that’s what he did on the first one
He scrambled and got about 15 or so on it yeah give me a timeout that you guys are just going to [ __ ] drift back let me let me go ahead and use these legs and uh gave his guy a shot um maybe underthrown just a little bit but either
Way that the safety came from middle of the field and made a tremendous play on the ball getting his toe just to barely touch the [ __ ] Turf while he gets his other foot in bounds tough way to lose the game there at the end uh especially
With Drew lock throwing a TDY yeah with one-on-one coverage with uh less than a minute left I mean that Seattle like like we kind of just talked about just in critical moments just ended up making the plays man listen I know I just said I like to look at things intrinsically
You know I always look at it from the lens of the Philadelphia Eagles they made plays you know that was a hell of a pass by Drew lock both of the interception that that kid made were impressive plays on the ball for a DB very impressive plays yeah you know hats
Off to those guys for making plays when it when they needed to make them well we got a LeBron stat of the game uh there was a graphic that appeared on the broadcast that said at age 36 Jason Kelce is the oldest offensive player to make every start this season that is a
LeBron ST that’s a good LeBron LeBron we’re we’re on board with that one that’s a [ __ ] good one you old dog you yeah right way to [ __ ] be the most reliable guy baby well unfortunately not well right on man you any any final thoughts on the game listen I’m just looking forward to
Getting back and working with my guys I’m with that you know I think it’s losing sucks um but I know we’re a hell of a lot better than what we’ve been showing on tape and I know that there’s great people in that building that I look forward to getting this corrected
With uh going out there and and fighting because you know I think all this stuff you know it sucks right now but that makes it that much better when you get it corrected you ain’t lying you ain’t lying well uh three weeks left dog how about that yeah how about that we
