The Ryder Cup made the long journey to Oban, Scotland, as the town came out to celebrate the success of their homegrown golfing hero, Robert MacIntyre.
MacIntyre, a rookie in Rome, was just one of three Team Europe players who remained unbeaten over the three-day event, and he was delighted to bring the trophy to his hometown to give people the unique opportunity to see this iconic trophy up close.
The Scot spent the day visiting schools throughout the town and meeting a number of young fans who have followed his rise from a local hero to star on the international stage.

Every two years, 24 of the best players from Europe and the United States go head-to-head in match play competition.
