  1. It didn't jar the brain backwards you've got this completely wrong. The chin acts as a lever here which causes the head to slam forward, which causes the brain to slam into the front of the skull. This why you keep your chin tucked because that way when someone hits that lever it is already down and the head stays static. You literally had a slow motion video of the had tilting forward and said "it still sends the head backwards"

  2. Bryce said he doesn't remember anything that happened after he regained consciousness even though he was ostensibly 'awake' and speaking, he thanked Emmet for his good sportsmanship in backing away and not delivering a fatal blow.

  3. Dude makes great videos manage to find a good medical explanation of any bad injury I see in sports, thank you for the content appreciate the work you put forth

  4. A tonic clonic seizure was called a grand mal seizure not so long ago. It would be best for Bryce not to fight a whole year, because epileptic seizures can occur after such a devastating brain injury.

  5. Would you say that as a general rule, when someone is having a seizure it’s a good idea to try and stabilize their head as we see in the video? Also, I’m a big fan of MMA but I’m always curious as to what steps to take when someone has been KOd, and if providing an ice pack immediately would be of any benefit considering potential swelling in the brain.

    Thanks.

Fight 360 uploaded that video. It's worth a look. Bryce sounds as he always has, and is back to work on his farm, but admits that he can't remember anything from the knockout to being put in the back of the ambulance. Watch the video, too, for someone who is impossibly cheerful about the whole thing. Bryce is a weird egg, but a good one! 👊💥🥚

  7. I've always believed and still do that it's the body's response to the knock out to try and wake you up out of the concussion… I've had it when I was coming back to consciousness the first sensation I had was feeling my legs moving and my body trying to get up when my vision came back the leg and body movement stopped few moments to assess what was going on before getting up and moving on. For about 12 hours I found I temporarily forgot a couple things. First just after getting up I was working out if I was dreaming or real and where I exactly was and what time of day it was then later I went to a cash machine and realised I'd forgotten my pin code for my card but the next day I remembered it again. It's a wierd feeling

  8. How many times have we seen a fighter swing and miss hitting his opponent and said “damn, if that punch would have landed …” well, this one landed.

  9. Man I watching this with some friends, I don't like Bryce mitchell, hoped he would lose by KO, and I even said he might be convulsing after it. Could not fucking believe that actually happened.

  10. It’s funny how informative this video can be to your average idiot. I’m an ER nurse longer than you’ve been in medicine and literally not a single piece of I knowledge was new. Idk why people put residents on a pedestal

  11. I just finished nursing school and we were told to pad railings (if they’re in a bed) but not touch a seizure patient once they start convulsions.

Wouldn’t it have been better for them not to stabilize his neck?

Anyway you can shed more light on to why you said it was good?

    Just trying to learn!

  12. I just came to watch and learn, have a brother that has epilepsy but not coz he's a ufc fighter, he just a regular person like me n u lol so it helps a lot to the smallest detail on having a seizure. Thanks for the helpful knowledge 🙏

  13. I don't like to see a fighter get hurt but I LOVE the education we are receiving from this video…Excellent!

  14. Well it’s nice to know that everyone’s concerned but I think this guy, the doc, needs to get out and do a little more activity that is a little more stressful I boxed for a while and I step forward and I tore my cartilage in my knee just stepping forward during a jab, and these guys are trained to protect themselves so when they go down you’re tossing and throwing blows I don’t know what this guy is trying to do but he needs to get out there more
