This is how Super-Sha’Carri won with the 4th fastest 100m in history @ Miramar Invitation 2023

Sha’Carri Richardson had an exceptionally strong start to her 2023 season in South Florida. Participating in her first individual meet of the year (after running the 4×100 at the Texas Relays the previous weekend), Richardson achieved a time of 10.75 seconds (+2.8 wind) in the preliminary round. She followed it up with an impressive performance in the women’s 100-meter final at the Miramar Invitational, finishing in first place with a time of 10.57 seconds (+4.1 wind). Although the tailwind exceeded the legal limit of 2.0 m/s, Richardson dominated the competition, which included Melissa Jefferson and TeeTee Terry, both among the top three finishers in last year’s US championships. Terry finished far behind in second place with a time of 10.83 seconds, while no other women in the A final managed to break the 11-second mark. Richardson’s time ranks as the fourth-fastest ever recorded for the 100-meter race under any weather conditions.
