  1. Bolton fan here. I know how good it feels for fans when players go out and celebrate with you. Just secured league 1 play offs and the lads went to end of season awards and then came into the town centre into the bars and everyone was just buzzing to see them and celebrate with them. So much for of a connection with fans and players in the lower leagues. Top stuff

  2. Hi Foz, my lad is 8, nearly 9 and decent in goal, got a talent. He's been playing for a 7 a side team for 8 months. I'm struggling to find a specific GK coach to aid his development. Are there any books or vids or coaches in the north west (Fleetwood/Blackpool) that can help a young lad learning the game? Cheers mate.

  3. Ben, I'm in America, and was very much an ignorant American thinking soccer (football) was one of the most boring sports ever. 90+ minutes to end in a 0-0 tie? Preposterous. Who even wants to watch that?

Then of course Ryan and Rob do Welcome to Wrexham. I checked it out wondering who two celebrities with no experience would handle managing a professional sports club. I was captivated by the end of the season. The fans really sold me on why football is so treasured and enjoyed. The editing of the matches was dramatic and exciting. I could start to pick up on the subtle nuances of what makes the sport way more challenging than it first seems.

Then I found your vlogs recently and have been watching the run up to the promotion. The enthusiasm you have is unparalleled. You're absolutely right that people want a peak behind the curtain. Seeing how humble and passionate the lads are is truly an honor and appreciated. Taking this sport, league, and team that's an ocean away, an entire culture away, and making it not only accessible but engaging and exciting for someone like me is exactly what the internet should be used for. Connecting communities and people.

I live in a town where our American Football team was awful for decades, and we're starting to become a recognized and respected franchise again. I'm so glad the Wrexham fanbase and staff and players stuck it out. I know what it's like paying your dues and finally feeling rewarded. Thank you for sharing all that you do and being the utter ambassador that you are for the sport, the league, and the team.

  4. Im going to be completely honest. I was never into football⚽ growing up here in America. I never had the sports channels growing. We were way to poor for cable even. And as i was getting older i just looked past it just because i figured thats something u have to be introduced to when your a kid. You learn the sport and you know who your favorite club is. Im sure this sounds stupid, and sorry if it does. But when "welcome to wrexham" came out it looked interesting. Like this will tell me what this game is all about. And the fact its about a team in wales made it great for me. My mothers like great great grandparents are from wales. And its part of my ancestry i was always fascinated with. So i watch the show and i have to say. I truly love your town, country, your fans. The dedication that your town and fans rally around this team is incredible. And i love you guys just as much. Im so happy you guys got promoted. You all really eared it. And im so happy for rob and ryan. But im happiest for the town of wrexham. Always loyal. And im am to. I love soccer now. But only watching you guys. My dream vacation was universal studios Florida. But now i want to come to wales spend some time in wrexham and see the town and i want my first real in person soccer game i watch to be wrexham. And pop in to Ireland for visit. Maybe do an ancestry test and find some relatives that might still be alive in wale and ireland. Hopefully ur still play for them in a few yrs. Sry such a long winded message. But that just it. You made a random person in a small town in Pennsylvania who never liked ⚽ into a big fan. Thank you and ryan and rob and your team. You should all be proud of that. Just thought you should know. You gave me something to root for. Keep win.
    " LETS GO WREXHAM!!! "

  5. Sits there talking about changing rooms being a disgrace… but the Japanese teams have shown this is mainly down to the disrespectful attitudes of players and staff. Clean up after yourself, you get paid enough to have some respect for the people that don’t get as lucky as you are to make silly money with no qualifications!

  6. Damn these dudes and the whole city really hit the jackpot. (Former) non league players relatively unknown to known by the world and on texting and drinkin terms with Ryan Reynolds lol that might be cooler than playing football honestly 😂.. saw something the other day that said Sheffield vs Wrexham was the most watched soccer match on espn in their history.

  7. “What would top off season 2 of welcome to Wrexham”?

“Well we could bring our older legend goalkeeper out of retired with a handful of games remaining and win the league”
    Perfect 😂

  8. Foz prowling around Wrexham eating everybody's food like some kind of cryptid…

"Beware, for when the moon is full after a winning home game, he comes after your chips…"

  9. As much as I'm pleased for wrexham I'm afraid for them as all the success is not sustainable without more success its a house of cards built on loans what happens if they can't keep the media interest and promotion outgoings will not be sustainable and then what???? It could be a Derby moment. Wish you all the best from a pompey fan

  10. Stockport county players did the same after the title win last year, came out with the fans afterwards it was cracking to see ❤

  11. Reminds me of when the Washington Capitals won the Stanley Cup they just got obliterated and ran around Washington DC jumping in water fountains and partying with fans. They dented the Cup doing keg stands out of it.

  12. The deadpool glove is a beautiful gift. That movie was ryan reynolds comeback movie. Same way wrexham was foster's comeback to the game.

  13. Became a Foster fan after hearing they got him out of retirement. Sounds like a great guy you could just text and say, lets go get a drink and hang out. Congrats on the promotion. Hopefully another one soon.

  14. no disrespect fozzy i think your great and the podcast is amazing but i cant help but notice how many times you say "um" in a sentence haha

  15. Carl froch done the same to me and my pals in Nottingham when he just became world champion we seen him on a back street by a club called oceana he soon dived straight into my mates kebab and chips

  16. Me being from America I’m not the biggest football fan but I love Ben foster he’s such a genuine guy and he’s getting me into the world of football slowly but surely
