The beach cannot be destroyed. The tides and weather will ALWAYS restore it.

Dont ever do this if you are at the beach because it will slowly wash away the beach and people have to work hard to fill this back in

This is done to prevent flooding of rivers. High tides eventually push the sand back up over the course of a few months to a year.
