The ROH and TNA fans in 2003 didn't look at Raven as a WWE Heat jobber. Most knew of his legendary feuds and promos from ECW and his time as World Champ, saw him featured quite a lot in WCW (even if underutilized) and viewed his WWF/E run as typical bullshit where talent was held down and wasted. I remember that, for a lot of people online anyway, Raven's debut in TNA put them on the map with some who hadn't bothered to even give it a chance. He deserved a decent run with the NWA title in 2003, instead of the too little too late shit he got a couple years later when they didn't even have a tv deal.
