Charles said the then owner, Harold Katz would never start the season with twelve brothers and the lousy white guy would be the final pick for the team. Charles was right, Katz picked the white guy and was ticked and gave Charles away to Phoenix for nothing.

Sir Charles is one of the best players never to win a ring. The Suns was a powerful team but the Western Conference was stacked! For a few years back then, any playoff team could get to the finals. CB and the Suns had to spend a lot of energy to make the finals. Plus they were weak at center and, like other teams, they has no answer for MJ. That loss to the Bulls motivated many of the Suns to succeed in other areas of life, Mayor, GM, Restaurateur, sportscaster, successful investors.
