  1. The fact is LIV is a more entertaining product and doesn't take up your whole day to watch which attracts the more casual viewer. The team element creates more marketing opportunities to drive revenue and to pay the top golf athletes what they deserve. The reality is viewer tune in to watch their favorite players and in almost every other sport a players compensation is negotiable except the PGA.

  2. Hear 👂🏼 me aught. Lets get kirby in the PMS host rotaish. The guy is sick of college gameday and wants to party with pat and the boys. Make it happen. Por fave

  3. Jon sees the big picture. After the deal behind the players back, how can any PGA player trust the PGA? The PGA loyalists will be left holding the bag at the end of this.

  4. One change the PGA can make is do what they did with the DP World tour there are 2 cosponsered events players from both leagues can play in. The could do it for a couple of tournaments with LIV also to get all the big names playing at once

  5. is it un-american to support LiVGOLF due to who owns it. Or is it very american to support getting paid 🤷‍♂️ so torn…..

  6. No matter what he says at this point of the game, Rahm is a liar. There is absolutely zero reason to go to LIV other than guaranteed $. Rahm stated he doesn't play golf for $. Sad day for golf and golf fans.

  7. This was a great interview and I do appreciate Jon's candor. I do not like his decision to go to LIV as it isn't the same competition. Having attended a LIV event as a spectator, I will say the music was nice, however, the golf wasn't that great to watch. To go out and have a shotgun start the competition was over in five hours and it was not a good experience.

  8. Good get that crybaby off the tour. Enjoy exhibition golf that no one cares about or watches

  9. Going to LIV is like going to satellite radio (Sirius etc.). You disappear into obscurity. I know of no one who watches LIV. It's circus golf with embarrassing team names that sound like grade school kids made them up. And I love how Greg Norman acts like he's blazing a trail. Greg, your just a puppet for oil billionaires who are buying a stable of golfers. At the end of the day, Rahm and all the others are Saudi pool boys who'll be playing in a league with a terrible format that no one watches. Do you think he all of a sudden likes the format? No. But, he sold his integrity and his career.

  10. Read my comment below for more of my thoughts on this issue. What I like about LIV is: 3-day tournaments (4 days is too long), no cut (all players get paid), high purses (wealth attracts fans and TV), Global golf (new great courses and more countries involved), the best players in the world (Rahm, Koepka, DeChambeau, Johnson, etc.), and team play (keeps players focused and trying hard). What I don't like about LIV: loud music (noisy and distracting), shotgun start (removes introductions and drama from 1st tee), and not enough tournaments in the USA (which is the golf capital of the world). Even if the PGA Tour gets billionaire investors, they had better merge with LIV or they will lose many fans. Palmer, Nicklaus, and Woods proved without a doubt, it's the superstars that matter the most. They had better get those golf superstars back on their tour somehow someway, or it's sayonara, ciao, and adios.

  11. Jon has not been playing good golf after the Masters. I think it was a smart move by him because only 2 majors. Kinda crazy to think what Scottie Scheffler would make

  12. The PGA Tour is run by egotistical maniacs. It’s disgusting. Why can’t both products coexist? If Monahan doesn’t swallow his pride and see this for what it is, (which is a great thing for the game of golf), his ego will be what eventually ruins the PGA Tour, and that is sad.
