  1. Has to be Lord Justice Pannick – not a bargain basement acquisition but
Well-rounded, skillful, resolute in defence and can grind opposition down
    😂

  2. Got to be a youngster or maybe Stones because you could argue every other superstar Pep has in that team would have hit those heights anyway with or without him. Alvarez or Stones, Pep doesnt really improve anyone he just is great at getting the best out of what they are already.

  3. Anthony Taylor got off to a blistering start this season and Stewart Atwell has been consistent throughout. But for sheer brazen effectiveness you've got to give it to Michael Oliver. Cheques complete!

  4. Kalvin Phillips most improved, stopping Liverpool or united signing him was worth it and he's lost weight since he signed

  5. Man city is cheating all of a sudden most of their players on international duty are pulling out with key word minor injuries, I betting they will somehow miraculously deem fit to play against Liverpool

  6. Maybe it's just me but a player who already has a high ceiling doesn't really qualify because it's too easy to mention. Sterling and Stones for example were already seen as future superstars before joining City.

Akanji and Ake to me are great examples. If you came to me or any fan 3 seasons ago and said Laporte would lose his spot as a starter and behind both players in the pecking order, you would have been laughed at. Yet here we are now, an error prone former Dortmund defender and an ok former Bournemouth sometimes CB, LB and DM whom people thought City had overpaid for are now key players in Man City's defence and played a massive role in winning the treble. And Laporte, who was once viewed as one of the best in the world in his position, has left City. You can thrown in Cancelo and say Pep preferred Ake at LB over him. That's most improved.

  7. Kyle Walker, Sterling, Stones. Some of you young ones didn’t watch Kyle Walker at Spurs so let me tell you he couldn’t cross a street let alone a football at spurs. He also wasn’t as strong defensively he just used his pace to recover. He actually improved his defensive decision making (when to stick a foot in and make a tackle vs when to not). Sterling is next imo, Sterling couldn’t finish a hot plate of sweet potatoes before Pep got him. Stones is obv.

  8. Pele, Maradona, Di Stifano, Cruyff, Ronaldinho, Rivaldo, Figo, R9, Messi, Kaka all didn’t played in the EPL

  9. Steve Nicol because of your regret and because I didn’t see the game in 86, wasn’t born yet.
I watched your BIG MISS on Highlights against Uruguay who where by 1 man down at that time.
You should have made that Mr. Nicol 🫡

  10. I was sat behind the goal when Drogba scored an absolute screamer against us (Bolton). He tore us apart every time, was such a baller.

  11. The advice Ian Darke gave about not to talk too much when you are commenting a game is what Ali Moreno needs to take note

  12. The amount of money Man City invested in developing and buying highly skilled players gave Pep great resources to develop.
