TSR1 or TSR2 Driver fitting (85-90mph swing speed)

Today Cassie and Coach Dad are visiting a new Titleist Fitting Centre at STEP rang in Neihu, Taipei.

As you know Cassie has not had a Driver in the bag since it broke in July so we have been waiting for this fitting session with Peter Chiu at the Titleist Centre.

So we finally got there and were very impressed with this new studio. If you have seen any of our previous fittings we were at the Driving range with Trackman data on iPad, so now with the big screen data on view it made it easier to get a clear video of the data.

Cassie once again learnt so much from the session, learning about what spin means and how it affects the flight of the ball, seeing data on her club face and path face and she understanding what affect it had on the result.

We were checking whether the TSR1 or TSR2 would provide best numbers and efficiency for her 85-90 mph swing speed, and trajectory.

We had a bit of the lefties – probably as it is a long time since she has hit Driver and she has never done indoor screen fitting before.

I hope you find the session as interesting as we did.

  1. Nelly Korda is back to her TSR1 so no need to look further 😂
About fittings, it's a dilemma to fit for current vs potential/optimal. Fit for current doesnt reward your improvement.
In that vein would have liked to see the trackman optimiser screen (bottom right 2nd from left button).
Also would have been best to see clubface hit location to see which shafts gave her better strikes.
Plus hitting indoors especially with a driver is different from outdoor range, unless you are used to it can feel "claustrophobic" and fail to swing normally.

  2. Nice, hope Cassie gets along nicely with the new driver and 5w. Hopefully they can be added to the bag as soon as possible. I agree with @77bovi I have heard "iss" is really a thing (indoor swing syndrome). I have a launch monitor in my garage, and it took me a while to get used to swinging in there…. I still feel my garage swing is different than my on the course swing. Great video , thanks for sharing. 🙃
